He laughed as he followed after her. She'd get tired eventually even if she didn't like the idea but he figured he could keep up until then. At least if they were running he could not think about things and just enjoy the feel of the air sliding across his hide and the dirt disappearing under his hooves.

She slowed as they moved back into the forest, sticking once more to the paths that she knew. Once the river was in sight the turned towards it, keeping time with the water as it flowed beside her. She could feel her heart pounding and, as it did so, she was begining to wonder if it was from the running... Or from something else.
Eventually she came to a halt , making her way down the side of the bank so that she could take a small sip of the water. She remembered what she'd been told; never drink too fast after running. She wanted the night to go on fover... Not to end it early due to foolish cramps in her side.

He ducked under a branch and headed out of the trees after the mare. He watched her for a minuet before walking over to the river to take a drink himself. The cool water felt good on his tongue and cooled him off from the run.
It had defiantly been a workout more than anything he'd done lately.

"Now that we've had a good run... Y'gonna tell me what's on that mind o' yours?" Her brow lofted slightly as she turned her head towards him. She was just as curious as ever... That was one of the things that hadn't, and would probably never change about her.

"Nothing for you to worry your pretty little head over." He grinned at her as he shook himself. "Unless you plan on keeping me company instead of just running off."
If she was going to tease him and pretend that she knew what she was getting into then she'd have to deal with the outcome herself.

"Ah thought Ah was already keepin' you company, Nuka." She stepped into the stream for a moment, letting the cool water rush over her hooves, swirling around her ankles. "Runnin' was jus' part o' that, wasn't it? Thought you could use a good chase."

"Keeping me company for a little run and keeping me company are two different things." He chuckled. Playing word games with someone that wouldn't understand completely wasn't as fun but he couldn't always help himself.

The smirk that played over her lips said that even if he didn't think she would, she did understand the wordplay that he seemed to think was so smooth. "An' Ah said Ah thought Ah was keepin' you company." She turned her head so that she could brush her muzzle against his, running her head down along his neck afterwards.

"Well if you really think you want to keep me company then i'll have to take you up on that offer." He knew he was getting himself into something he probably should have thought more about but she was enough of a tease he didn't care.
What better way to learn lessons about life than to run full tilt into them?

She didn't view it as teasing. She viewed it as being friendly, currently unaware that this could possibly be anything other than a sign of some sort of friendship. Afterall, she felt no sort of attatchments to Guilian... And so what if just standing here next to Nuka was starting to make her feel fluttery now. "Are you tryin' t'talk me outta a decision Ah already made, Nuka?"

"Never said that now did I?" He chuckled and shook his head slightly. Someone had told him once that it was a bad idea to play with those younger than you but he was beginning to think whoever it was that said it was an idiot.
Why bother with others his own age when it was so much more fun to get himself in trouble with the younger set?
