razzledazzle5160 Miss Murdered We're not going to have a revolution. People don't act up because nobody else acts up. The few people who do do it for attention so they can be in Nickelback music videos. Most people are thirteen to seventeen year old people who just b***h about it online and put no thought into what they're actually saying. There are a few people on here that I really admire because they say what they think, but then there are a few who kill it for everyone else by copying and pasting their opinion from BushSucks.com and pretending they know what they're talking about. That makes me sad. I personally wouldn't mind a revolution but there are too many different opinions on how this country should be run. It's too big. We need to divide and conquer. May the majority prevail, even if they aren't communist. Well I also believe that the people on the internet who want to do something and who actually care like you, me, and a lot of other people in this guild are too young to do much. I've sent emails to various causes and have gotten a reply here and there, but does anyone really listen to a 15-year-old? I'm supposed to be unruley and not know what I'm talking about...according to many adults. The thing is I do care and everyone I know well knows my intentions for after school. I want to go out and see the world and help who I can by joining different organizations. I want to just go out and do as much as I can do and be remembered for what I did, not what I didn't do. Some of us do care, and we get many more added to our small group by watching the Nickelback video. If it takes a music video to get people to understand, then hell why not? It took an entire band to get me to understand. I do believe some people are looking for attention and that is what they'll do, but I don't believe that's everyone. I know. That's exactly what I said. Nobody listens to anyone our age and by the time we're adults we've stopped caring. That kinda sucks. Maybe we shouldn't forget about this.

If I knew someone in real life who was willing to get up and do all the things I want to do for this world, I would do it with them... but most of the time it turns out I'm too choked by apathy and debt to ever actually achieve anything.

The problem with my town is everyone is a conservative and they are the type of wealthy people who don't want to bother helping anyone else. I need to move to a different community someday. That might be the problem with some people...just one person can't do much.

But then.. if we don't do it, who will?
If all of us, right here in this guild, could organise something, I would do everything in my power to help.

Yeah, also the thing is I believe a lot of people are strong willed to do something, but due to circumstances around them, it puts a hinder onto their goals. Money is a huge thing, you have to advertise your cause and organize something, it's all a lot of work and sometimes I don't think people realize this. We just have to make a get-rich-quick-scheme that actually works and all our troubles will be gone XD

I thought this suited our discussion.
"Being an activist means being aware of what's happening around you as well as being in touch with your feelings about it -- your rage, your sadness, your excitement, your curiosity, your feeling of helplessness, and your refusal to surrender."- Paula Gunn Allen

Chain emails don't cost a lot...but nobody pays attention to them. Or we could hang out in mall elevators with signs and stuff. I hang out there anyway. And by the way...what is this cause?

Hmmm.... When you actually think about it's kinda hard to decide what I actually want to fight for.
I get these newsletters every now and then about LBGT news.. apparantly there are some anti-hate crime laws coming in but Christian groups are protesting them.. ******** knows why... I guess they don't want to get sent to jail the next time they decide to attack and murder some poor gay dude. Anyway.. if I could, I would fight for those laws to go through.

Those laws need to go through.

I just feel very useless. I mean.. I'm not even American. I can't protest from a different country. Hell, I can't even sign the petitions or email someone in power like the newsletter people want me to cause I'm not a citizen.
People ask me why I even care about some laws in America when I'm over here, but injustice, hate and murder are the same things nomatter where they happen. My country already has anti-hate laws, there's no point protesting here.
