Had she not already been dripping wet, she might have retaliated. As it was, the little cub simply hopped back nimbly and stuck her tongue out triumphantly at her sister with a laugh.
Mzuza nodded. "We should, they'll probably worry that Saf isn't there. And me." She added, almost as an afterthought. She never really liked to think that she cause others worry, or that they would still worry about her after knowing just how capable she was of returning home before the sun was actually down.
The copper cub looked up at Intombi. "Well maybe you can come meet us again some other day? You live around here, right?"

"Uh.. sorta." She shrugged a little at te question. "I technically live about a day's walk out, but this is where I hang around most of the time. I guess I'll be seeing you guys. I gotta go get me some dinner."
Flashing a playful smile, the juve turned round and bounded off in the direction they had come from, food on the brain. Even though she was still young enough that Mom hunted for her from time to time, when she was on an extended leave from the den she tended to hunt smaller animals or young to feed herself. The only issue was that it usually took a little while to track down something small enough for her to kill, so she'd probabley be at it well into the night. Little did it matter, though; she had had a pretty good day, and her mood wouldn't be altered by hunting for a while.

Safuma watched her friend disappear through the grasses off in search of food, a gentle frown having claimed her features due to her disappointment. She hated having to go home when they were having so much fun, and worried she'd never see Intombi again as she hadn't seen Nsundu since that day so long ago. Rogues seemed to be likely to disappear. She sighed softly before turning a smile to her sister, "Well, guess we oughta get home, then."
Flicking her wet tail against the dust, she shook out her pelt as she reached dry land before heading off in the direction of Pride Rock. Occasional glances over her shoulder reassured her that her sister was still following, "No more magic?" She didn't want to ask out right not to be left alone in the darkening reeds, but she didn't want Zu to leave her, either.

The copper cub watched their newfound friend as she bounded off into the twilight. She'd be back, Mzuza was sure, and she grinned slightly at the thought of the day when she would and they could all three of them hang out again under the shade of some strange tree.
Together with Safuma, she turned toward Pride Rock, padding just a step or so behind her golden sister, deep in thought. She usually reserved the thinking until she had gotten back to Pride Rock, but there were times when she couldn't quite hold back and simply submerged herself as soon as she possibly could. Right now was one of those times.
Her head lifted at the sound of Safuma's voice, and she grinned. It was not hard to hear the underlying meaning to her sister's words, and to tell the truth she didn't blame Saf. She wouldn't like to be left to walk back to Pride Rock in the dark either. Nor would she enjoy playing magic at a time like this. The dark didn't seem to suit the copper cub especially. She giggled and shook her head promisingly. "No more magic."
