Returning the nuzzle, Zaphiro nevertheless greeted Hienna's 'explanation' with an eyeroll. "A likely story. You're just trying to wrap the whole incident in a blanket of logic so that you can keep me from knowing the TRUTH; well, I am far too smart for such mindgames to work, so you cna meditate on THAT."
The words were a bit strained, since he was making a Herculanean effort not to laugh...but she didn't need to know that! "I have you figured out, after all."

"Do you? Well, I suppose I'll just have to kill you. Can't have my secrets released to the entire world now, can I?" She was also trying very hard not to laugh and had her token serious expression. Of course she had perfected that over years so it was a little easier for her to hold it.
In fact, to drive the point home, she bent her head and pressed her horn very gently, teasingly, against him.

Not one to let a good opportunity to go to waste, Zaphiro obligingly went still and adopted what he hoped was a suitably fearful expression as the horn's point pressed against him.
"I surrender; you've got me at your mercy, coldhearted mare that you are. All I ask is that you spare my life, and in return I'll do anything that you ask!"
Nevermind that he could probably take her out with one wing at the moment; playing around was MUCH more fun!

"Anything, hmm?" She pondered for some time, keeping her eyes on him and her horn pressed against his throat, "Well, I suppose if you promise to sleep with me every night and wake up beside me every morning and be there when I birth your children so I can scream at you about how you put me through agony I can allow you to live, good sir."
She lifted her head to bring the horn away from him and winked at him, "Is it an agreement, then?"

Blink. Blinkblink. Blink.
Then he was once again bursting into laughter, pulling Hienna against his side so that she could feel the laughter as well. And it was a few minutes before he was actually able to speak again, but when he did, he was grinning. "After last night, I don't think I'll ever be able to fall asleep WITHOUT you snuggling up with me, Hienna; and as for the foals..."
Violent as the scene she described sounded, the very idea of Hienna and their foals was a lovely picture. Little winged horned purple and blue foals with sheens and golden markings..."If I'm there for the begetting, I think I can be there for the birthing. An agreement it is."
And a fair one, at that!

"Well, I can honestly say I don't know much about begetting...But I do know about birthing. I've seen enough of THOSE to wonder how mares can go through it." One was definitely enough and christ it looked painful. Hienna laughed and nestled close, "...Just so I know what i'm in for, is the begetting as painful as the birth? I was never told how THAT worked."
The thought of foals between the two also brought a smile to her face. They'd be the most gorgeous children ever and completely worth any pain involved in getting them.
...And that was saying a lot considering she had a low threshold for pain.

For obvious reasons, Zaphiro had never witnessed a birth. But he'd been told by his mother that it could be prolonged and painful, definitely not something that any mare should ever have to go through alone by any means; consequently, he had sworn that if he ever had foals, he'd never leave his mate's side the entire time, no matter what.
Hienna's comment about the begetting part was a surprise, however, one that he'd never even considered. But then, thinking about it logically, why WOULD her mother have told her about...well, THAT if she wasn't supposed to ever come in contact with stallions? He himself had no practical knowledge, but given the propensities of one of his herdmates...he'd definitely HEARD enough, especially considering the fact he's been told about 'the facts of life' once he'd come of age.
Still, it was a strange predicament to be in, having to explain, and he could feel his face heating up at the mere thought. But he was quick to at least allay her fears.
"Well...the begetting is actually supposed to be a very special thing, Hienna; in fact, it's supposed to be one of the best feelings one can ever experience." So he'd heard, at least!

She was quiet for some time, pondering, "...Well, that's good. At least that part won't be painful but..." Hienna blushed deeply, "What's supposed to happen?"
Suddenly the mare felt incredibly stupid for not knowing such things. After all, she was a grown mare and she didn't know how foals were MADE. Her mother had never bothered to tell her; she wasn't even supposed to entertain THOUGHTS about it.
"...I'm sorry, nevermind." She looked down.

There it was, the difficult question. Hot as his face had been, it was even MORE profuse now, his very coat looking as purple as Hienna's. This was the sort of thing that parents were supposed to tell their kids, after all, so that mates weren't put into this sort of difficult situation!
But no...she hadn't had the benefit of parents who were concerned about their child's future happiness. What she DID have, however, was him.
"Hienna...my dear, dear mate..." As he spoke, he'd lowered his head so that he was gently nuzzling at her throat, his voice a bit thick from a combination of nerves and breathless anticipation. "There's nothing for you to apologize, no reason for you to have really known. But if you trust me...if you want me to...I'll show you."

She smiled a little bit, nervous herself. It was supposed to be a good thing, right? Hienna already trusted the stallion completely. Hadn't she told him as much?
"I think...I think I would like that," she said softly, returning the nuzzle lightly, "You know that I do trust you. Show me then because I have a feeling I would like to know."
Why was HE blushing though?

She trusted him...it was amazing how each time she said that, it was like he was hearing it for the first time; each time, it sent a new thrill though him. But this time, considering the circumstances...
Gods, he was nervous. But he wasn't going to let that get to him, no he wasn't!
Continuing the nuzzle, he murmured against her throat. "I'm glad, Hienna; and I promise that if you want me to stop at any time, if you don't want to continue...just say the word, and I will..."

Hienna couldn't believe how absolutely amazing this 'begetting' thing was. Zaphiro was right - it was special and one of the best feelings one could experience. Truthfully, to date, the only thing that compared to it was Zaphiro's declaration of love earlier that day.
Now that it was over and she was curled close to her mate she wonderful how she had lived so long without it. She wouldn't be living without it if it were up to her, though. Actually, she had a feeling that she would be wanting to do a lot more of THAT in the future.
For now, though, she was content to rest beside the blue stallion.
"You're amazing," she murmured sleepily, "In every single way, you are absolutely amazing."

One wing draped possively over his mate's body, Zaphiro was the picture of relaxed contentment himself. Guilian had been right about one thing, at least; physical love WAS quite possibly the most enjoyable thing he'd ever tried.
But unlike Guilian...Zaphiro couldn't imagine even THINKING about loving any other mare besides his dear Hienna. Even now he was wearing the fond smile that had been occupying his face ever since they'd finished, his muzzle resting alongside hers so that their cheeks were touching. At her words, he gave her a light nuzzle, but beyond that couldn't even seem to move.
"You too, love. I'm only happy to know that you enjoyed yourself, hopefully as much as I did." Which might not be possible, all things considered!

"I'm glad too," she murmured, not willing to move herself. She, however, as lazy and sleepy as she could be did have a sudden thought. "Zaphiro...What are we going to do about living arrangements? I do not have a home and I do not know your own situation myself..."
She should have asked! Hienna mentally berated herself.

It was sort of odd to feel so relaxed and drowsy in the middle of the afternoon; after all, while an early riser he wasn't prone to midday naps. If this became a regular practice he might wind up getting into the habit, though...
Her question steered his thoughts back into the realm of the practical, however, which was probably a good thing. Nuzzling against her cheek, he murmured back reassuringly. "Well, for now I think that what we're doing is probably the best bet; because technically, I don't have a 'home' myself. I've got places I like to stay in, but nothing really permanent."
Though come to think of it, she couldn't fly herself...so obviously there'd need to be a few changes to his routine; not that she wasn't a good change herself! "We'll manage."
