I like Leroux's Erik because he's delightfully batshit insane. Because he's very conflicting and multifaceted; a monsterous genius and a pitiable murderer, but his flaws are through no fault of his own. You pity him and want him to find happiness, even though you know it's impossible. And because in the end he's able to overcome a lifetime of selfishness and hatred to understand real love and do the right thing.

But mostly the batshit. biggrin

And I'll agree. He has many faces, but you just can't help but love him for at least one of those faces.

we love erik cuz he can sing, he's sweet (in a obsessive way), and we pity him...

Because

He's erik!

he has problems......... he's a murder.....and he's a** ugly.

but he finds ze light, and is able to see a bit of lifes sweetness after being in a sour rotten garden.

We love erik for his flaws and his plus points.

say you have a husband w/ many flaws.

you can't say you love him without accepting him and loving him for his flaws.

(this goes for men and thier wifes too scream
