"Ah, I see," Yue said.
With his almost 6-foot frame, he easily opened the cabinet and took out a bag of rolls.
Holding it in front, he said, "How about I heat this up for you?" The shinigami opened the bag and placed several rolls into a steamer. Moments later the timer chimed, signaling that the rolls were ready to be eaten.
He plucked the plate out and offered it to Sayuri, "Here."

>>she blinked at the plate of steamed rolls, wondering on how she should react to this. Finally she took the rolls, taking one to take a bite..........it was really good<< I am not a child >>sayuri murmered, taking another bite. Okay, so maybe she kinda was a child, but it wasn't her fault that she was stuck forever in this form!<<

A shrill whistle pierced the air before Yue could reply. The water had come to a full rolling boil on the stove, demanding to be paid attention to. With a click, he turned off the fire and carefully lifted the pot.
As he moved, he replied calmly, "I don't treat you like one."
Hot steam billowed out of the pot as he poured it into an iron teapot. Yue deftly put a tiny scoop of powdered green tea into a small tea bowl, then added water from the teapot. He took up the whisk, beating the tea into a green froth.
Before he lifted the bowl to take a sip, he asked, "Would you like some? Although it might be a bit bitter."

>>ah yes, so he would have reached up and gotten rolls for someone who was five foot four? Unlikely in her eyes. She slowly looked up from the sweet in her hands to look up at him. Sayuri nodded<<

Yue prepared more green tea for Sayuri. Sliding the small, steaming bowl towards Sayuri, he cautioned, "Be careful, it's hot."
He lifted his own bowl to his lips and took a sip. Ah, he loved the taste of freshly made green tea... The taste of green tea from tea bags simply could not compare.

>>for a moment, the girl inspected her bowl cautiously, as if for poison. She gazed into it's dark contents, sniffed it delicately and even poked her finger in it before delicately putting the moistened finger in her mouth. Finally, Sayuri picked up the bowl, and took a sip<< eek >>Nope...not poison...worse<< whee >>Burnt tongue!<<

Yue was amused at Sayuri's reaction to the tea. Quickly covering his smile, he smoothed away the crinkling lines although his violet eyes silently laughed.
"If you prefer, there should be some ice cream in the freezer," he offered. The frozen treat would soothe the sensitive tongue.

It is alright. >>she murmered, pressing her tongue to the roof of her mouth to test exactly how bad she had burned it. The child then, satisfied, gently blew on her bowl<< And ice cream with tea? That is simply...wrong

Yue replied, "Not with tea. Rather instead of."
He used both hands to lift up the bowl and raise it once to eye level. Lowering it, he bowed his head and took a sip.
The ceramic bowl warmed his hands as he cradled it. Gazing into its green depths, Yue could faintly see his reflection.

Ice creams good, but not filling. You would become fat before becoming full >>Childs mind, childs logic. Well...a warped childs logic with intelligence. Carefully she lifted to bowl back to her lips, taking a calm sip. Much better<<

((Not always true because I can get full from ice cream or at least sick of it while sharing ice cream with my friends whee granted it was the largest size at ColdStone's for 3 people...))
Yue allowed his eyes to express his laughter, "That's true. But it's good to have it once in a while."
Tucking a lock of obsidian hair behind his ear, he deftly changed the subject. "Have you considered anyone for a partnership yet?" he asked.

"Ah, I see," Yue conversationally said, "Maybe it's best if you started thinking about it a little bit more."
"I certainly was not prepared for it when it happened," he commented nonchalantly, "I liked working alone as well. It's just that in some cases, you're forced to work with others."
Ah, he was speaking more than he would have liked...

>>calmly she took a sip of her tea, looking like they were chatting about the weather instead of a eternal partnership<< Well also...it would be dangerous. >>Sayuri took a bite of sweet roll<< Demons do not work well with humans. >>He wasn't the only one talking to much. Normally she didn't let others know more about her then she was a demon and that her name was Sayuri. This was sickening<<

"I see," Yue murmured.
Was there another demon in Meifu? He didn't think he had met any besides Sayuri. Then again, there were some un-human looking ones. And he had not meet EVERYONE in Meifu. ((That would be the Adjutant and the Division Secretary's job cool ))
He mulled the question over his tea.
