" Oh, alright, un." The blond removed his hand from the top of Sasori's head and made his own tent dissapper via scroll. The quicker they got the camp site cleaned up, the better.

While facing away from his donna, Deidara smiled. He noticed Sasori's finger twitch, and the slight mumble, although he had no clue what the man had said, too low. But still, it was probably along the lines of thanking him, and Deidara found it to be cute.

Sasori too assisted in the cleanup by replacing the tent-scroll in his cloak. He then fled under the pretext of removing the traps that he had earlier set up around the campsite.

Once he was far enough away, Sasori had a chance to properly question what the hell all of that was about. Deidara hadn't been coming onto him, had he? Now that he thought about it, Sasori recalled that the man implied that he might be gay. But that didn't mean Deidara liked him, right?

Sasori forced those petty questions to the back of his mind. He had no time to be even so much as thinking about relationships. All throughout his life, Sasori had seen no need for any sort of intimate relationships. Why, then, did Deidara feel the need to force himself upon him when he wasn't interested?

Though there were still many questions in his mind, Sasori returned to the empty campsite as soon as he was finished taking down the traps and storing them away.

Deidara looked up from gathering the used firewood as his partner entered. " Back already, hmm?" he asked, the wood in a smile pile. He couldn't leave any evidance that hey were there. In his arms he held a small clay bird, each details delicatly carved. Deidara was a prefectionist.

He set the bird down in the center of the wood, perfectly. " Did you get all the traps, Sasori-donna? " we asked the redhead as he prefored this, stepping backward. He grinned, a hint of craveing- maybe even craziness in it. " And unless you want to get hit with a peice of exploding clay, I suggest you back up, un."

Sasori took back all previous assumptions of Deidara being completely sane when he saw that smile. He took a couple of worried steps backwards, more to get away from his partner than the impending explosion. The warning he had been given was taken to heart. Even if it was harder to damage him than the normal person, his injuries took a good deal of effort to heal. Like Deidara, he was also a perfectionist.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" The puppet-master cried out. "Isn't that going to be loud?"

Deidara shrugged. " Not as loud as it could be, Sasori-donna. Not as loud as it could be." Yeah, it might be a little loud, but he has his precautions. He loved explosions, and it took all he had to not cover the wood with it.

He clasped his two hands together after he saw Sasori was saftley backed up. He didn't want to face Leader-sama if Sasori got severly ingured. His pointer and middle finger of both hands touched simontaniosly, making the little clay bird to explode, causing the wood to break into smaller peices. This action caused an explosion that would be heard by anybody from five feet of distance. As this occured, he muttered his famous line.

" Art...is a bang!"

Wouldn't bits of ash and wood scattered everywhere be more suspicious? Still, that's one hell of a way to start the morning.

Sasori was thankfully fine. He was probably only like that because he had summoned his puppet Hiruko around himself to shield him from the debris. Even so, the puppet's cloak got hit with a few splinters and flying bits of ash.

He sighed. It sounded odd and hollow coming from the puppet, but it was really him speaking somewhere inside of it. Akasuna no Sasori meandered over, not bothering to get rid of it. He critically inspected the remains of the fire.

"I can certainly see your point. How big can you get your explosions to be with that clay?"

Deidara shrugged. " Depends on how big the sculptor is, un." He grinned, happy that the Sasori took intrest in his artwork. He liked having the respect of other artists, not just him as a person. " It's really more about that then the chakara aspect, I suppose. Like how you can't fit two tons of sand into a little milk carton, un."

However, it was his turn to see Sasori's use of art. He was impressed on how easily he puppeteer was able to manage such a large item. From the detail on the creation, he could see that Sasori also was, indeed, a prefectionist.

" So, how long did it take you to make your puppet, hmm?" he asked. " The detail looks great, un."

"About a year on and off for the main body. But I'm always adding things and making adjustments to it."

Sasori handled his creation with an expert's hand. Every subtle movement that it made responded to his mental commands as easily as normal muscles would. Instead of electrical signals being sent, there was a steady chakra flow circulating throughout the puppet as easily as through his own body. He spent so much time working with and fighting in his puppets that it was second nature to him.

In his hollow voice, Sasori spoke again. "I've got a lot of more human-looking puppets made, which I usually use whenever I have to fight. When I do, I always have a body like this in case I'm attacked directly. Technically I'd be able to get by on just this puppet, but I don't like to fight with it unless I have to. It takes a while to repair if it gets damaged."

Deidara nodded. " Oh, I see. So, it's like each puppet you make is like a seperate person to you, right? They all have their seprete importances, yet you need them all." That sounded right. From what Deidara could tell about the human population, that's how life was. It's like a list for an exclusive party. One person is always on top of another.

"Basically. Each of them have their own strengths and weaknesses." Sasori was smiling, but of course you couldn't see it through the shell of wood and metal he was enclosed in.

A cursory inspection of the campsite was conducted to make sure that they were leaving no evidence of them having stayed. Sasori buried a couple larger pieces of ash in the brush in the underbrush, just to make sure.

"I think I'll stay like this for a while. It's easy to travel in." He said once he had returned to Deidara's side.

Deidara nodded. " Whatever's eaiser for you, hmm." He told the man inside the puppet. It wasn't exactly a flattering way to travel to him, but he felt that Sasori would be comfortale in there- he could tell the man spent a lot of time working with his creations, so it would be a breeze.
His azure eyes focused on the road ahead, which should have lead to the small town that Sasori told him about the night before. The day was clear, perfect for the walk the two had to take to get there. " Well." he said to the puppet master. " Now that the site is clearned up, I'm ready to go whenever you are, hmm."

The day's journey was for the most part uneventful. The Akatsuki pair engaged in conversation occasionally, but mostly remained silent. Sasori liked to rest and keep to his own thoughts, which was easier whenever he was inside one of his puppets. He felt comforted and secure in there, his range of vision barely impeded by the mask that covered his face. It was as though he was protected from the harshness of the outside world, harshness he had used the puppet to defend against in the past.

The outlines of buildings came into view earlier than had been anticipated. It was more late afternoon than evening, though the sun was steadily getting lower in the sky. Sasori ventured as close to the village as he could without being seen by the guards and hid himself behind a sheet of rock.

Sasori waited for Deidara to catch up, and then dismissed his puppet. Much as he could have liked to keep it, a giant wooden scorpion entering the city dressed in an Akatsuki cloak was more than a little bit suspicious. The cloak itself was something that needed to be concealed, which was why Sasori made the handseals of a transformation jutsu and waited.

When the small cloud of smoke dissapated, in the puppetmaster's place was a plain-faced nobleman in his mid-thirties. His clothes were of good quality, though practical. He carried an ornate bag over one shoulder. This of course contained his summoning scrolls and other possessions.

"It would be a good idea to transform into someone like my wife or son, if you wouldn't be opposed to it," Sasori kept his original voice, since it wasn't well-known at all. "We're to share a room, so we need an excuse."

The blonde man nodded, gathering his chakara into the handseal for a transformation jutsu. He had decided to take on the look of Sasori's son rather than his wife.

As the smoke from Deidara's transformation jutsu clearned, he was shwon to be portraying a young boy of around fifteen or sixteen, his hair, instead of the way he normally wore it- long with a ponytail- it was short, running in wisps over the same azure eyes. He wore a well-fit black-and-white Hakama with wooden sandles, a belt around his waist had a pouch on each side to hold his clay. Height-wise, he was about an inch or two away from Sasori's torso.

" I think this'll work." he said, his voice deep still, yet sounded much younger than it previously did. " Do we have a back-up story, in case we're asked?" It was hard to prevent himself from adding a 'hmm' or 'un' at the end of his snentences, but it took away from Deidara and added more onto the boy that was the son of the 'nobleman'.

(So sorry I haven't posted lately. My schoolwork's been piling up, and I needed to catch up on it before I could get to posting again.)

Sasori picked up on the change in Deidara's speech pattern right away. During all of the time spend in the young man's company and hearing his voice very often, Sasori had accepted Deidara's unusual way of speaking as natural and had taught himself to accept and ignore it. When he heard that voice without the familiar sounds, it was strange and almost difficult for him to listen to.

Difficult too was it for him to regard his partner's current appearance as only for the sake of disguise. Deidara looked quite cute in his youthful state, loath as Sasori was to admit it. At least he was taller than him now.

The puppet-master cleared his throat, wanting to get back to the task ahead of him. "The two of us are diplomats returning to Wind Country after a series of negotiations with Fire. Our only escorts are a few ninja who will be staying in another hotel for the night. Feel free to come up with names for us. I'm not very creative when it comes to that."

(( Oh, it's alright! I undestand. ^^))

Deidara nodded. " Sounds like a plan to me. By now, our real names have to be known by know, so..." The blond man thought for a moment, trying to think of a good name to use. Finally, he came up with two names that suited quite well. " You take the allis of Kugutsu, and I can be Nendo, does that sound good to you?" Deidara took the two artists' specialties and turned them into names, as Kugustument 'puppet' and Nendo was a name that ment 'clay'.
