TAH ku PearlZenith Chibi Rat I just bought Kamikaze Girls 2 days ago, there's also a manga for it, i saw a preview and it was awesome ^ _ ^ how's the movie? does anyone know? the novel's pretty good so far though *continues reading Kamikaze Girls novel* What, there's a second movie? I'm not sure how I feel about that, since I liked where the first one ended. I dont think there's a second movie right now. They could be making it at this moment!! because the manga came out after the novel and had the glimpse of what happens in the next book. the 2nd book to Kamikaze girls came out in Japan in 2006 I think. soo it will come out in US sometime hopefully!! but 2nd movie is unknown. @__@ unless someone has a website that says so then I take back what I said. xD I doubt there will be a second movie due to the fact that Novala is currently in trouble for having been caught with weed. His clothing line at Baby the Stars Shine Bright as well as his Hello Kitty stuff have been pulled. Baby has even gone as far as disassociating themselves with him because of what happened. His personal website is down as well so I, personally, doubt there will be a second movie. We can only hope that the second book, if there is one, will be released here in the US.

gothic_lolita_chic i have to say Kamikaze Girls (the movie) is what introduced me to Lolita, i didn't know about it till this movie. Lol. For me it was the opposite. I found out about Lolita long before. While reading some articles about Lolita lifestyle on Live Journal, I found Kamikaze Girls listed as one of the Lolita film "must-sees." I didn't see it right away either but this summer while I was in Europe, one day bored at my boarding house, I found it on Youtube and checked it out. It was so funny, I think I laughed out loud redface . I really enjoyed it. Momoko is an interesting character and her insight on everything (though I didn't always agree with it) is always unique and amusing. Overall, it seemed a lot like a live anime.

Rococo Lolita is probably the incorrect term for Hime-lolita. But yeah, Hime-loli is supposed to be more leaned towards the Rococo style than between both that and Victorian.

No, but it's really what kind of design the brands come out with, that you have to look out for. The "full-length dress" thing in the lolita-handbook, I don't agree with though. If someone was to do that, they would just be "princess", and not lolita, imo. There was one meeting that was supposed to be lolified fairy-tale themed, but that turned out to be really bad and crappy with the full-length dresses.
There was ONE girl on EGL (I forgot her username), she dressed in full-out Rococo-style during a meetup (not intending to be Lolita). She looked amazing.

Yes, the whole lolita look is ruined by a full length dress. But I like this photo example from the handbook: Click. She has the Rococo look with an acceptable lolita skirt length.

Yeah, I put that up there. The old scans, like the one of Aya(?) and Kana in long dresses and some other chick in a long dress, it didn't look Lolita. Well, Aya(again ?), his dress had more Rococo influences. Kana's just was a long dress made of like, tulle or some crap, and the other girl just looked like she was doing cosplay. But then again, they DID come from like, pre-vol.10 G&L Bibles.

I'd like to see this brand, please. Link? Also, Rococo does inspire lolita in terms of the French fashion of the period. Hime lolita is filled with inspiration from Rococo, rather than Victorian, in many cases.
