Silent Comet

That spare second cost her, and Sann danced easily out of her reach. Claw hit stone and the sound dug into Corsage's head. She inwardly cursed and whirled around to see Sann's smirk of triumph.

"You must be much faster if you hope to defeat me, young dragon."

Anger surged forward. Young dragon, is that what she was to this spirit? Steeling herself against the rising wind, Corsage propelled herself off the pillar and flew at the smiling spirit. The wind tugged at her hair and she dodged a small rock as it whisked towards her. Preparing for another strike, she drew all of her strength and attacked.

Corsage cursed inwardly as the sound of claw against stone again sent chills through her. But she was close now, and though Sann continued to smirk through the now roaring wind, Corsage let her anger fade into an image of the symbol as she struck out again. Her other arm went to her blades. If she failed yet again, she could waste no time.

That symbol, whatever it was, would be hers.

Her blade was out of its sheath and hurtling towards Sann before Corsage realized her claws had struck home. Sann was shaking and holding herself against where Corsage's claws had ripped through her ephemeral body. She held up a small hand against Corsage's second attack and it diverted harmlessly.

"You have defeated me." The wind suddenly died and Corsage's hair dropped back against her head, the sensation slightly jarring. A single pebble dropped from the ceiling through the dying wind and bounced off her shoulder. The silence following was surreal. Corsage had won. Won.

"I bless you with the symbol of my power." Now composed, Sann nodded deeply and held out her hand. Corsage dumbly held out her own and the wind spirit dropped a small stone into it. Curling her fingers around the translucent bluish stone, Corsage smiled slowly as it shone with the light filtering through the windows. When she looked up again, the spirit was gone.

She-Ra knew she was at this particular temple for a reason, but she didn't know what and it was starting to confuse her. "Why must I trek all over the place for no apparent rhyme or reason," she whined to herself softly. It wasn't like she didn't have more pressing needs to see to. As her footsteps echoed on the slated floor, she could feel a breeze building and swore it was speaking to her.

"For your first test, defeat Sann."

Was her sword talking to her? As she opened her mouth to question, she was buffeted by a seeminly invisible attacker. Looking everywhere, she barely spotted whom appeared to be this 'Sann' character and drew her sword.

Running at a swift pace, the Princess of Power took a test swipe at the strange creature attacking her and missed by a long shot. Swearing, she got even more frustrated as she was buffetted against a pillar and the creature was gone again. But; she told herself through stabs of pain in her back, the breeze wasn't. Standing fully, she steeled herself and took a deep breath. Slowing her thoughts down, she was better able to see through the air attacking her face and caught sight of Sann again. This time she was sure she wouldn't miss.

Drawing her blade up closer to her face, she charged.

As she was again thrown across the temple entry-way, her long hair streaming across her face, she couldn't tell if she had hit Sann or not. It didn't appear as if she had, but this was a test from the former protectors of Eternia; that could mean she couldn't actually hurt this creature. Cussing again, she stood and brushed herself off. If this wasn't neccessary, she wouldn't be here she supposed. "Well, if you're going to attack," she called out to Sann, "at least attack fairly!"

As Sann appeared with a look of consternation on her face, She-Ra swung a fist and prayed that at least her hand could make contact.

...
"And again with the flying into a wall," She-Ra muttered as she picked herself back up. This was getting rediculous, she should have been able to hit something so small and innocent looking ages ago. But maybe that was the problem- She kept thinking of this thing as sweet and tiny. "That must be it," she exclaimed with excitement. Fully drawing out her power through the sword, Princess She-Ra grinned wickedly and sliced through the air towards the fleeting Sann slashing at everything with calculated abandon.

Missing Sann again, She-Ra laughed as she turned and used her sheild to get her closer to the seeming air goddess. Getting as close to her as she could through the battering wind, she smiled charmingly then used her shield and sword in a wrap-around combination; she used her shield to get close to Sann then whipped her sword out from behind her body to lash out once more at the woman before her.

As Sann dissapeared slowly into the air that encompassed her being, She-Ra stood her guard. "What's going on," she questioned as she slowly lowered her sword.

The goddess, Sann, appeared before her with her hands held out and smiled warmly. "Well done, Princess of Power. You first test has been completed." With that she vanished again.

She-Ra slumped against the wall and breathed deeply, banishing her weapon of choice back into it's sheath on her back. Taking one last, deep, sigh; Princess Adora, She-Ra, walked herself out of the temple and back to the village from whence she came.

Leraje has heard of a rather powerful wind spirit residing in a town named.. Priyal. Well, not the town itself, but more like the sanctuary or some sort of place of worship the town had. No matter.

His lithe yet armored body set foot inside the rather cool and airy temple. Green eyes slid from side to side behind thin-framed glasses, scanning the area. It would explain the reason he wasn't caught off guard when the spirit made herself present.

"I've came to lay claim on your powers." He grinned, "May I challenge you?"

"I'll grant you my power if you deem yourself worthy," was the spirits words, baiting the dragoon to start his attack.

Leraje raised his spear, Rivière, so that the shaft was parallel to the ground. In mere seconds, he jumped up to an incredible height... only to come straight down at the Spirit.

(We loose 10 HP when we miss.. so 120/130)

The spirit slipped out from under his attack, easily and gracefully weaving out of the path of his lance's point. Leraje cursed loudly as the landed, only to be blown off balance by a gust of wind. His armor clanged loudly as he made contact to the ground.

In a single fluid motion, he was back on his feet and charging Sann. His arm poised with his weapon for a running stab.
