"Trigger and Kinari are the only brothers I could think of, sir. I was born of Suzuko and Argoko and Trigger was born from a Firekin and my mother from my knowledge. As for Kinari, we could just say that he was born from Kroga and Suzuko just to go along with his story, either way, we all share the same mother in the end and so we are brothers. Do you think there can be another? Trigger had assured me that my mother is already dead so she could not have produced another cub."

Trig spoke, sitting now beside Kinari. If the smaller male decided to lash out, Trig would be abe to grab onto him, hopefully. This all was so complicated, brothers? So many already, two of them now and Wahabu thinks there could be another one out there? Impossible, Suzuko was dead, she could have had another cub from the time she bore him and then again after Trigger. Was all of this even possible? If there was a brother then where was he and who did he come from?

Kinari remained silent and the growl in his chest stayed there, warning Wahabu to choose his words carefully. He didn't care what was going on really, at least not yet, he is more concerned for the way these two spoke about his father, Kroga. Then Wahabu spoke something. Instantly, the two replied simultaneously.

"Argoko and Kroga brothers?"

Trig spoke, "I suppose it could be possible if that explained our kinship, but how could it be that we both shared the same mother but two different fathers? And yet we are the same age....." he looks at Kinari. "I'm a little over a year."

Kinari turned his head and took his bang into his maw. "Same."

"I think so," Wahabu murmured in response to the question of another brother, "There could be. You said Argoko was still alive, if he had more cubs they would be your siblings. Perhaps that is part of what I saw of him here." He thought about it a moment, it made sense that if Suzuko was dead then the other brother must have come from their father, Argoko. If Trigger could be a sibling by one parent, then certainly this other one would be too.

"I already said, Argoko is your father," he repeated, looking to Trig as he spoke but keeping an eye out for movement in his peripheral vision, "You're the same age, from the same mother and I say you are from the same father. You look like who you both assumed to be your fathers because they were brothers. I- I think there was some kind of conflict between them, I could feel it-" Wahabu had to wonder if that had just been the conflict of his own situation leaking through through, "Perhaps Kroga took Kinar- took Kinari in."

He was not foolish enough to outright suggest a kidnapping here. How this would make sense without taking both brothers, he had no idea. Maybe both brothers thought they were their father, and could not resolve the arguement any other way. Maybe Kroga took Kinari, maybe Argoko took Trig-- though the latter seemed less strange considering he was biologically their father.

"Blood is not as important as who was there," he mused, looking at Kinari, "Kroga was your father, but Argoko was your sire."

Kinari scoffed.

"Knowing my father, I would not put it past him for kidnapping, he'd even take a cub hostage to get what he wanted. But he assured me that I was his."

After that, he stopped talking.

Trig looked on, watching Kinari speak then turning his head back to Wahabu to give his own words.

"It would be possible I suppose.... but if I am assuming the right direction, you are saying that there is another one out there, and if I am still on the right path that this other brother must've come from my father seeing as he is the only parent left to tie us together again. But if that is so then my father must've met a female out here while I have been away, I would not put it past him to say that he must've done it a little after I had left him or even when i was still around and I was just not with him..... Do you happen to know this brother's name?"

Trig seemed so sure that he was on the right track, it made some logical sense, but it was stretching into the impossible which made Kinari laugh.

"Don't make assumations, freak, you'll just make an a** of yourself."

Habu looked at Kinari, somewhat surprised he didn't get upset at the idea he had put forward and instead had supported it. His red and blue eyes turned back on Trig as he carefully repeated pretty near what he'd just been told. Habu nodded along to show he understood, and agreed with most everything. He looked back to the ground thoughtfully when Trig asked if he knew the name of this other brother, but was interupted by the laughter of Kinari.

He glanced up at the pessimistic lion and shook his head. Every couple comments, Kinari almost seemed to be on his side and believe what was being said. The rest of the time he refused to believe it and either threatened them or laughed.

"Trig, Kinari, Trigger," Wahabu murmured to himself, listing who he knew for sure for he knew that somewhere in there there would be another name that just made sense. He did not immediately think of how he'd been laughing at Trigger's name.

"Trig.. Kinari.. Trigger.. Trig-er," he hesitated there, seeming to suddenly go out of his initial order, skipping Kinari's name by putting Trig and Trigger's names together, "Something really obvious.."

"I know his name!"

Kinari shouted as he stood up. His expression was like one of realization as if one had spent years on trying to discover something and had finally done it. Trig instantly jerked his head, smiling at him.

"His name's You-are-all-idiots!"

That comment immediately was replied with a hard whack to the head from the bigger male.

"This isn't the time to fool around. You may not be happy that we may be related but to hell will I let you mock us."

Kinari recoiled and rubbed the back of his head. They didn't understand him too much, Kinari loved pain, he embraced it. Hell, he'd instigate anyone to get pain and/or blood. It was what drove him on. Kinari scoffed again and sat back down. A bunch of idiots....

"Well, the Firekin's name was really Moto'Vianzio, he changed it because.... well, I dunno. He name does mean 'Fire Starter' I suppose that could lead to Trigger somehow...."

Habu wanted desperately to tell Kinari that he could just leave if he was not interested in any of this. There were some facts that he just knew, for example he knew for a fact that Trig and Kinari were brothers, and was quite certain on other facts regarding their lineage. Certainly, now they were trying to make everything logical, and it all seemed to make sense to the seer. He could not recall this name off the top of his head, but he'd know if he heard it, just like Trig would know if he heard it. Habu had faith in that.

"No, his old name doesn't matter," Wahabu replied, giving his full attention to Trig now, "Trigger is a lot like your name, and.. and.. his name." OK, logical leap-- it would be rather funny if three of the brothers' names were that similar.

"Trigger's name is like this other brother's and my own? Well, if you take my name out of Trigger's then only -ger would be left."

Trig thought about it. It seemed right.... that was until Kinari butted in again.

"Ger? Nice name, sounds like he's growling to me. There is also Rigg, Tri, Reg, Ig, there are so many damn ways you can break down that name and come up with something that could still resemble one. Face it, you aren't gonna think up of anything."

Trig's ears fell back at his brother's words. He could be right. His judgement and attention was swaying between his brother's and this local's words. Who was right? Who was wrong? Was it truth or was it lies? Who was this brother? That seemed to be the key point of the topic now. Kroga and Argoko are brothers, Trig and Kinari are brothers, Trigger was a half-brother.... and this other one.....

"Wahabu, can you see anything else? Perhaps an image? His name? anything? Is his name anything that we have said?"
PostPosted: Sun Mar 18, 2007 10:59 am

Ger. Habu took a moment to think about this after Trig suggested it, and his thoughts were interupted again by the ever helpful whole-brother, Kinari. The yellow lion could not help but roll his eyes, and pointedly look away to ignore whatever it was that Kinari was saying- other than the suggested names.

None of the suggestions sounded right, none except Ger. Ger was obvious, like he said it might be. It also fit together to make Trigger's name, which is what he'd initially thought. He'd found Trigger's name instinctively amusing for some reason, and having two brothers (Ok, one half-brother with another half-brother) with half of your name.. well, that sounded funny to the youth.

"I think you may have it right," he answered with a short nod, looking back at Trig, "No hint of an image, only a name and that Argoko is his father. It is very likely you'll recognize him if you ever met him, you have a name and you know who his father is. Hopefully that'll be some help, though not everyone really looks like their fathers." Habu was referring to himself here, for he looked a great deal like his mother and very little like his father.

Trig pondered for a moment and then it hit him.

"I know a lion named Ger, he looked sort of like me but without these markings on my paws. He was in the Elephant Graveyard....."

Kinari looked at him and sighed. Mentally counting 1-2-3.

"Wait! I MET THE GUY AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT!?"

"Bingo~" Kinari rolled his eyes.

"Then that means that my father found another female..... so much for loyalty for one's lover. Damn it, I was just with him a couple of moons ago and we were with the Maziko's king and.... Gah, darn it. I was with my half-brother and I didn't even know it. I just thought he was a Pride Lander with that golden color and his eyes were just genes from someone around here."

Yes, Trig was kicking himself now.

Wahabu sat there, looking at Trig with a stunned expression on his face as he described a lion named Ger. He too waited for the second when Trig caught on and realized just who he'd been talking to. To Wahabu, the fact there was a lion out there named Ger who looked a lot like Trig was enough to back up everything he'd said.

"T-there you go," he stammered, quite surprised himself.

"Thank you sir."

Trig nodded and quickly left. He set out to find Ger again, last thing he recalled was that the male was injured and weak with the prince, maybe he was still there at the Maziko. Ger, Kinari, Trigger, and himself....brothers, half-brothers....but still brothers.

Kinari watched as the larger lion ran off. His attention darted back to the local lion.

"Just because there is a lion out there that happens to look like Trig doesn't mean it's his brother, Ger or whatever his name is may not be his brother. I still don't entirely believe you either, two-bit prophet. Next time you go around telling people your visions, make sure they can't kill ya if they don't believe ya."

Kinari flexed his claws quickly and got up.

"I should be heading out. I got better things to do than sitting around here.... loser."

With that Kinari got up and left Pride Rock, looking for the one named Na-be. But now, he has something else to think about too.

Habu might have felt that this Ger was proof enough there was some truth behind what he'd seen and what he'd said. If nothing else, Ger could prove to be a brother of Trig- but if that was true, why would there be any question about Kinari?

"You're the ones who wanted answers," he replied, looking squarely at Kinari since he could not longer just ignore him, "If there is no truth behind them, then perhaps what I saw was interpretted wrong or it was merely a coinsidence that I saw you, Trig, Argoko, Kroga and Suzuko in some dreams that actually meant nothing."

He watched Kinari leave, and despite his rather brave words he couldn't help but feel a bit worried about what he'd done. Kinari was not someone to mess with, he could tell that much. Hopefully he'd done some good, for Trig certainly seemed to be sold. He made sure Kinari had a chance to get a good distance away before he too got up and headed for home. Habu certainly had quite the story to tell his mother now!
