It seems like Cryo has the same passion as Genshin, perhaps, this will be a fun match for both combatants. Unless Genshin decides to take this whole match seriously. He had a fun time with the last one, using powers he hasn't used in centuries, while in this one, the shadows decided to come out to play. Within this veil of darkness, the crimson orbs of his eyes could be seen, not really stationary but floating. Floating? Why would eyes be floating in the darkness, perhaps Genshin's moving upon these shadows and they're not stable... or there's something else under his sleeve.
Anything that's after Genshin, will be destroyed before it even reached him. So, why dodge wood, when it becomes deleted within his own shadows? There's no need. But yet, his blade has been extended in front of him, but what prey tell is in front of Genshin? A feint glow of the crimson orbs begin to defuse with one self, flaring in an obsidian aura but still having that red coloration to be seen from a distance.
Shifting greatly, from side to side, the crimson orbs split into four then into six, then it continues until there are 12 orbs. Were they his eyes? Or was this another trick of the trade?

Cryo noticed the orbs floating in the air and became curious as to what such things could do. He'd seen several techniques performed with much the same objects but he wondered how Genshin would use them. Cryovix in response backed away from them keeping a good twelve yard distance and dropped into a personalized fighting stance. Cryo glanced around to be sure he wasn't getting the drop from behind or the sides and focused intently on Ryu. A bit more time and a few more tests would get him the final key he would need.
Cryo still continued to smile though. In recollection of the whole battle so far, he'd discovered it had been decidedly boring and now playing here things were finally getting interesting. Cryo wondered just how far things would go before an end was finally reached. Would Genshin satiate his thirst for battle or would he be just another disappointment in a series of meaningless tournament battles?

But this isn't a technique that's purely known by anyone, not even the Gods themselves could understand this technique. The orbs continue to multiply even more, and apparently, there seems to be 24 orbs now. He didn't really try anything, Genshin is not in sight at all. This is his presence that drew over the arena from the start, and this is a technique that only he's capable of doing.
The sequence of orbs become similar to that of a pyramid. It was almost time to blow up.

Cryo was confused about why the stupid things kept multiplying. Cryo stood upright and boringly looked on. He finally shrugged and snapped as if dissappointed before turning around and walking away. Genshin had to be in here somewhere. It wasn't like he could hide from Cryovix here. If had that kind of a notion he'd be sadly mistaken. Cryo decided to give the man a few more minutes to show his face or make a move or he'd have to destroy his 'shadow' as a sign that Cryo himself had better things to do than stand in one place. Cryo stopped and grinned suddenly. He tossed a look back over his shoulder. "Shadow Runner?"

Suddenly, the 24 orbs were floating in a fashion appearance. The eyes of these orbs look directly towards Cryo, "If I was a shadow runner, you could see me within these shadows, but you can only sense what I let you." Within this domain, the orbs were more like a personification of Genshin from this point, and because of that, the orbs multiplied until it became more of a hand towards the right side of its own facial structure. The extravagant display of prowess within these shadows were great, but they're not threatening because like cats Genshin plays with his prey. Hopefully, this guy will be a lot stronger than he hoped for and thus the, structured by orbs, hand zooms after Cryo's image.
At the same time, the shadows were vibrating increasingly from time to time to show a presence here... there... anywhere around the arena. The crowd was in shock to not being able to see what was going on but seeing the vibrant showing of the orbs did keep them occupied.

Cryo shook his head at the voice he heard. "I wasn't talking to you. You aren't powerful enough to be as Shadow Runner. Now then....." Cryo turned to face the orbs. "Shadow Runner? What are you doing?" Cryo couldn't help but laugh as he turned his head following something. "Come now. You can't mean that. He wouldn't seriously be doing that now would he?" Cryo continued to laugh as some of the darkness seemed to hit Cryovix and vanish. The darkness could be considered part of an unstable mind. It could be considered a distraction. It could be considered lots of things but the fact was Cryo had been speaking to a shadow. Cryo continued to laugh as he turned his attention to the orbs. He held his sword out in front of him. He'd been storing energy this entire time. Darkness began gathering around his sword. Cryo would take this shadow out Genshin was just standing still. The tournament overseers would be getting agitated soon. "One last chance kid. Get this party started."

Then the shadows came back to Genshin, as his visage stands in front of Cryovix... He turns his head then looks off to the side. "I'm bored. Attack me, if you want."
He was tired of playing the games, and really wanted to see what this guy could do. Besides, the orbs were still going directly towards Cryovix, suddenly going in a circular fashion around the man.

Cryovix was indeed annoyed by Genshin's latest remark. Cryo rolled his eyes and raised one of his hands off the sword hilt. He held his hand out palm facing Genshin. Ignoring the orbs Cryo focused on the image of Genshin and reached out. For several moments it seemed that Cryo merely stood there doing nothing. All at once though things changed. Small sparks of light appeared in a ten foot radius around Genshin. They appeared a mere moment before a rip in space cut Genshin's 'shadow' from this world and a different darkness erupted. A darkness not made of darkness at all but made of the searing black flames of hell. After a few seconds of that the sparks appeared as the rip seemed to shrink to nothing but a spec in the air and then it was gone. The flames however remained for a few moments. Oddly contained as if spread out against an invisible container. Cryo yawned and didn't even think about Genshin going down under something like that. This was his 'shadow' afterall. So Cryo had made the first move in this world. He was greatful for the honor but he'd wanted Genshin to make a move. It wasn't any fun to fight someone who had an advantage if they weren't going to use the blasted thing. This being the case Cryo figured he'd have to make him use it. Which was why Cryo's hand remained out.

That's the thing about Genshin, he already made a move, doesn't mean he went for a attack though. Tactics are an essential key to a battle, and in knowing what's to be done in order to win a battle is a truth within one's goal.
It seems that with the elaborate plan, Cryo ignored the orbs. Big mistake. The cut wouldn't happen towards Genshin's shadow, for the orbs disconfigurate the distortion of space quickly resealing instantly before they return towards their attack. It was only a few orbs that went out, 12 to be exact, while the other 12 were around Genshin for some strange reason. They were orbiting almost like a helix around his entire body, but with a sudden point of his finger from the blade PAIN (which is now completely a different color due to the charge from earlier), the 12 orbs go directly towards Cryo.
The orbs from this group, only 6 this time, transmutate into a sword and slashes forward directly towards Cryo's head. The other group of crimson orbs were behind the newly formed swinging blade in a circular pattern then suddenly they dispearse to surround Cryo's body, but all they did were orbit in a similar fashion as with Genshin's orbs around his body. The blade would easily cut through Cryo's body due to the negative energies that were produced.

Cryo looked suprised at the attack and brought his own blade down to block but it was in vain. The weapon went straight through him. He looked down in shock to see himself splitting in half and then Cryo's body melded into the darkness. A disembodied laugh pulsated throughout the darkness from all directions. While the laughing pulsated throughout the entire world Genshin had created a bullet from Cryo's gun came from behind below and above the man. Cryo was behind Genshin smiling to no end. "Plan huh? You can't even tell the difference between a shadow and the real thing! Pathetic." Laughter ensued.

Genshin merely laughed at the notion that the man was trying to use shadows, but plainly, he knew where Cryovix was in the first place. The communication with Shadow Runner already gave that hint away, and Genshin revealed himself to show how fearless he is. If Cryovix was man enough to attack Genshin, then now would be the time, or when the time the blade PAIN goes downward towards the shadowed arena floor the entire arena would become the exact opposite of what it was.
Where there's Shadow... there is Light, and where's there a will, there's a way. The blade, PAIN, being held in a vertical fashion and is pointing towards the ground. The orbs, however, remain on course with their target. The orbs told Genshin where Cryovix is, and well, Cryovix shouldn't be within Genshin's domain. It could have dire consequences.
"Attack me if you want... my orbs still have you." Thus, there they were, on their target the whole time. Genshin wasn't following Cryovix, they were. Even with the guns, Genshin will easily suffice with just his blades, and his skills. But what would happen next all depended on Cryovix.

Cryo merely shook his head as the stupid orbs changed they're course to what Cryo would assume was Genshin's target. This being the case it was safe to assume that Genshin didn't actually know where Cryovix was. If that were the case he would be making a different move at this point in time. Genshin understood nothing he just continued on in his way. He had no idea what was actually going on. That was made completely apparent when Genshin ignored the bullets. If he'd known what those had been then he would have paid more attention than he was. For the bullets transformed when they closed range with they're target. They turned to waves of a whitish blue energy. An energy that would freeze anything they came in contact with. Anything including the air Genshin may or may not be breathing. While the ice bore down on him from above, behind and below. Rifts opened in the air to both sides and in front of Genshin. From the rifts came three identical sword blades. Two sparking with electricity and one just plain. Cryovix jumped out of the way of the orbs. Rolling to his feet Cryovix looked over his shoulder at Genshin. "Soon. Very soon indeed."

Genshin was getting rather bored with Cryovix, he thought he'd have a pure melee competition, but yet the man was pulling tricks out of a supposed hyperspace.
It didn't mean much in the situation, for now, Cryovix tried for another attack against Genshin. So, Genshin, in all of his great glory, lifted a finger, alerting one of the orbs that orbit around him to suddenly expand the black flames. These flames, weren't normal flames, they were of the Darkness, yet whose heat isn't even described not even the duration of the period they were used. Let's just say... they were hot. The energy would meet a separate but equal energy to nullify the effects of Cryovix's first attack.
Simultaneously, the orbs going for Cryovix continue their pursuit. Genshin thinks the man would just destroy them and not run away... perhaps there's something else up his sleeve... And poof... there it was, three blades coming directly towards Genshin's body. But apparently, there were two with electrical prowess while the other was normal...
A hiss occurred through Genshin's mouth as he leaped forward then spiraled his body over the incoming blade as the orbs, the ones surrounding Genshin, followed in place as Genshin suddenly land on the other side of the blade. The orbs, however, stay orbiting around Genshin to be a protective barrier.
Genshin assumed this man wouldn't be able to take him on in a battle with just the blades. Perhaps Cryovix is weaker than he thought, Genshin'd be more pleased if Gath was still around.

Cryovix in his dodging noticed something. Ryu somehow nullified all energy based attacks so far. The way in which he did this gave Cryo an idea or two. Things may be more interesting than Cryovix thought. Cryo would need to test it again to be sure but if his assumption was true then Cryo may find a use for his belt after all. Cryo's entire body engulfed in a light that didn't blind but made him unseeable by the naked eye for a few seconds then it abated. In his hands he held four knives. Cryo threw these knives into the air as hard as he could. All four vanished into a mist. Several seconds later the knives reformed. One coming at Genshin from behind while a second came from above. The other two were aimed at two of the eyes chasing Cryovix. Cryo then dove again and shot two or three bullets from his pistols at some of the eyes around Genshin. Now it was time once again to stay out of the way of the eyes till his test results came in.

Yes, the energies couldn't get to Genshin because they'd be nullified before they were able to get towards his own body due to the orbital waves. It might be the reason why Genshin took on the entirety of the attack with the bullets, but that doesn't mean that Genshin's incapable of defeating physical attacks as well.
Now, Cryo will make things much easier for the both of them. As the knives reform, Genshin's eyes open slightly wider than normal to gain more of a better perspective and vision of the entire arena. With a simple shift backwards in a back flip, his hands hitting directly upon the shadowy ground and his body leaning backwards kicking his feet up to avoid the knives, but his hand as he rises up lifts in front of his face as he begins growling. In the duration of growling, the bullets were going directly towards the orbs. (( I think that's what you meant when you said 'eyes.' ))
Suddenly, all the orbs surrounding Genshin react by colliding with each other creating a black fog as clashes were heard, then suddenly the orbs re-appear from the fog back in front of Genshin. But that trick isn't as easy of a distraction as it was shown to be... The other orbs, which had become blades before, switch into blades yet again and spiral downward to cut directly towards Cryovix's legs.
