Sati pulled out a small pack of tissues from her bag, wiping fingers and mouth as she pushed away her empty bowl.
'You said 'last safe-haven'. Can you tell us anything about whats between here and the monastery?'

The old man shakes his head. "I can tell you nothing. You must go ahead with minds unclouded by preknowledge. The path is diffrent for each group. So I'm afraid I can tell you nothing." He smiles apoligeticly, hands spread as he shrugs a little. "You will need to leave soon if you wish to reach the inner gates in time."

'Somehow I expected that answer,' she said wryly, looking at Silver with raised eyebrows.
'Then I guess we had better get moving.' she stood, testing her ankle. It took her weight with only a faint hint of soreness.

Silver smiles, and nods, picking up his pack again, digging out his gauntlets and putting them on, just in case he needs them soon. He bows in thanks to the old monk before going outside, standing in front of the crack in the tree, listening to the wind blow. "You ready love?"

She nodded, having followed him, her pack once more digging into her shoulders. She brushed his hair from his face, planting a soft kiss on one cheek.
'I'm ready.'

Silver walks into the crack in the tree, walking slowly, listening and looking for any danger. The wood of the tree transitions to rock as they pass through the tree into a cave. After they both are in the cave, a heavy stone slab drops down behind them, blocking the way back. Silver jumps and spins at the sound. "Well, only one way to go now."

Sati nodded, reaching out in the gloom to touch his shoulder.

Silver nods, and digs around in his pack a moment, pulling out a crystal globe with a liquid inside. He shook it a moment, and it let off a silvery light, similar to that of the full moon. "There, that should help some." Silver slowly walked down the tunnel, senses at there most alert for danger.

'What is that?' she asked in a low tone of voice as they carried on walking. It was almost as if Silver had captured a small piece of the moon, the glow arching above them as below their footsteps echoed.

"Something I'd been working on for a while. Its kinda like I captured part of the light of the full moon in it, and now that light shall forevers shine out of here when I will it too." Silver smiles a bit, but then freezes. "Sati, step back about 4 steps. I just stepped on a pressure plate. As soon as I lift my right foot, a trap is going to spring. I think I can escape, but I don't want you caught in it too"

'You're getting very good at this shaman stuff..' she started to say, before he spoke about the trap.
'But...' she said,
'Can I not just move us both? I dont want to leave you to get hurt.'

Silver shakes his head. "I"ll be fine. Trust me. And I've got a feeling that there are wards all around this place that prevent movement via magic or special powers."

She balled her fists, feeling helpless. The one thing she could do, and she couldnt even do that. She sighed and moved back.

Silver waited a moment, and sprang into motion, diving forward. As He did so a large steel block slammed down where he had been standing, sealing the passage completely. He ran back to the block, yelling through it. "Sati! Are you okay!" As he yelled, the wall next to Sati slid back, showing another passage.

Her hair billowed around her as she covered her face as the block thudded down. Her ears rang from the noise in the confined space and it took a moment for her to realise that Silver was speaking to her.
'I'm okay,' she shouted back.
'Are you okay?' she pressed her hands against the block, listening for his reply.
