'Okay, Pay attention!' Bindi told herself firmly in her mind, not wanting to be rude and miss his name for a second time! Thankful for his calm and understanding demeanor, it allowed the pup to relax and not fret about what he would think of her. Yet as the moment came when he would once again enlighten her on the secret which was his name. Leanding closer in anticipation as her full undivided attention lay on Sekani...his mouth opened...this was it!
.....and nothing came out. Unable to comprehend for a moment, her muzzle cocked to the side as she debated if he spoke in such a pitch that even she couldn't hear. Naawww. That was impossible. Standing, she once again sniffed at his mouth...perhaps there was a frog in his throat? Smelling nothing out of the ordinary, she seemed to be in thought for a moment as she observed his appologetic smile. Was he sorry? Did he not want her to know his name? "I....Why don't words come out? Are they stuck?" She questions, her childish logic slightly able to comprehend the situation....in a very broad view.

Nen's pale lanterns met Litre's, but quickly flicked away and their gaze was on the ground again...though they didn't stay there for long. At the male's words of another pup, and then at the larger male's howl, something in her brightened a tad.
Lifting her muzzle, ears flattening a tad, Nen added her own puppy howl to the other pup's. It definitely lacked the soul twisting howl of an adult, but it held promise with its watery tempo; a stream that would soon turn to a river.

((:3 I love how there's like... functioning as a pack. It's cute with all the position taking and what not.))
Tre scratched absently at his ear while Alexander figured out what the trio should do. No matter where they went, he'd be fine with it, so long as they eventually tumbled along the tan female. He was curious about her now, and he really did want to eat his mouse at some point in time. The body on his head was just oozing yummy smells, and it was almost torture to not devour it right then and there. The dark blue pup's howling pulled his thoughts and eyes away from the top of his head, however, and he was suddenly confronted with a new challenge. How do you howl while balancing something? On the ground the rodent went once again, now severely abused in its death. Without so much as a second thought, Litre took the other male's lead and lifted his head out for a puppish howl, which ended up more like a yip than anything else. It was the best he could do in his young age, no matter how awkward it seemed, and he even felt a little pride as it meshed with the other two's melodies. There were few things in life as exhilerating as sharing a song with fellow wolves, and even a pup could appreciate it.

Sekani would have laughed at Bindi's concentrated look if he had been able. She was really too cute, especially since she thought that she had missed his words the first time. Even if she had not heard his name the wanderer would not have taken offense. He didn’t let himself get bothered by such things. It wasn't like she had been blatantly disrespecting him. She just had a short attention span, as most pups did. One had to be patient and forgiving with the young ones, even ones as cruel as Guaf. In comparison, getting named "Snail" was much worse than having a pup ask him to repeat his name.
The male held still and let her sniff, watching silently as she tried to figure out what he was telling her. After a moment, she seemed to come to her own conclusion. He smiled a little at her logic. Yes, one could say that the words were stuck, for he did have a voice. It wasn't a very nice one though, his damaged voice causing his voice to be extremely rough. The sound was there, in case he needed to get a point across, it just wasn't very effective. He could only manage a sort of hollow, raspy bark should he need to. He could try his name, he decided, as he had done with Reicher. Bindi had, after all, deserved it.
With a quiet cough, Sekani attempted to sound out his name. It was rough, and it made his throat feel strange, but he managed a soft "Se", then a "Ka", and then finally a rather squeaky "Ni." There. He'd gotten it out. The apologetic smile was back as he gave his tail a small wag. Hopefully she wouldn't ask him to repeat that.

((I gotta go for the night. <33 Snow day tomorrow, so I'll reply first thing in the morning. Uhm... I don't want to slow down the RP for you guys, so just sort of pretend he's following the group. If y'all end up talking and what not, just say he's eating the mousey. 8D When I get back on tomorrow, I'll just post saying that it was a very yummy mouse and have him participate again. xD Night. <33))

Body immediately tensing at his cough, Bindi remained perfectly still as he began to speak his name in syllabuls. His voice was raspy, rough, and almost scary to her ears....yet somehow, it suited this older male. "Se..." She began to repeat what he said, to make sure she got it right. "Ka.....ni. Seka...ni. Sekani! Thats your name!" She yipped happily, giving a small jump backwards as she twirled in a circle before facing him once more. "Sekani! I likes it! Does it hurt to talk? You must have a lot of words stuck in there. Thats okay! I'll try not to speak too!" She decided and have a deep nod of her head...well, before she heard the chorus of howls in the distance.
Twisting her head around, it sounded like the puppies earier...yet having so little experience with howls; she wasn't sure what they wanted. Turning back to Sekani with a confused look, she thought it best to answer them, before making a face realizing that she just said she wouldn't talk. "Oh...well maybe in a bit I won't talk okay?" She smiled, turning her body towards the sound and cleared her throat. Now, Bindi was slightly smaller than most pups her age, even the females...however, as she lifted her snout to the air one wouldn't have been the wiser. Letting out a rather loud and on key howl, her mother had told her that sometimes biggest heart's and souls are in the smaller bodies....so Bindi sung out her soul song as loud as she could. After the howl died down, she looked back to Sekani with a smile and a wag of her tail...still happy to have met him in the first place.

(( Okay, Kater. nn I have no problem suspending our portion of the rp until tomorrow. -graduated high school and has mondays off of work- ;D Either way if fine. ))
Alexander felt his soul being soothed by the combined voices of his companions. Companions… how nice it was to finally be able to say that word! He had companions. Alexander added another chorus to his howling. This time, he stood on all fours, wagging his tail like a puppy enjoying his first meal of milk. The young male could feel the sound waves of their voices travel through him. This was definitely one of the things he missed about having a pack.
After a while, it seemed no one was responding to their howling. Just to be sure, he lowered his head, closed his mouth, and listened very carefully to the area. He listened for any reply, whether it be adult, teen, or pup.
“Do you hear anything?” He asked the others, swiveling an ear back to them.

Sekani nodded brightly when she repeated his name, glad for once that he hadn't had to resort to letting a pup choose his name. Snail wasn't exactly the most attractive of names. He was lucky that Bindi had been paying attention this time, and even more so that she seemed to understand that he didn't like talking. It was always a relief when other wolves caught onto the fact quickly. The less stress on his vocal chords, the better. He laughed inwardly when she told him she liked his name, his tail wagging happily. It was his way of saying "I'm glad". He tilted his head when she declared that she was going to try not to speak, amused.
Sekani had come to care less and less about the words and more about the emotions behind them. Since he was limited only to expressing feelings, this was a lot easier than it sounded. But not for a pup. Pups like Bindi needed to be able to speak, especially since they had a lot to say. There was no need for Bindi to take a vow of silence so early. He was about to express his curiousity about her choice when he heard a noise. His ears perked at the sound of the howl, recognizing it as one of the puppy's. The pup didn't sound like he was in danger, so Sekani didn't give it much thought. Bindi, however, seemed eager to answer it. It seemed that the vow of silence was over rather early.
With a soft smile he listened to her howl, grin widening when she looked back at him. He wagged his tail in response, glancing in the direction of the original howl. He nodded that way and tilted his head. Did she want to join the other pups?

The female stopped when Alex stopped, and listened when he listened. Though, when he didn't hear anything, she sure suddenly did.
Lifting a paw, she touched him quickly, softly, and then thrust her head to the right in the general direction the other pup's howl had come from. Her icey tail rose just a little, and gave the smallest wag, but a wag none the less.
