He edged out of the cluster at the doorway and flopped onto a sofa. Looking up at LP, he replied, "Well... We got back to the 'states all right... and Anastasia's been pretty happy here. I just haven't been by the shop in a while, I guess... It's weird. I can go 'round and find a door to this shop anywhere we live, you know? But anyhow, I've been on vacation for the past two weeks, and only just went back to base today. I don't sign off of vacation for a bit yet, but I came back so that Anastastia could come in here and visit with someone, hmm... her own size."

*Giveing a nod LP listened to ar, she was still leaning on the wall like almost everytime anyone saw her, she shifted so she could see ar.* Yeah i know what you mean. The shop's door is pretty easy to find anywhere. I actully use it myself to go other places when I can't get to them from where I'm at. *she stiffled a bit of a yawn.* The shop has been pretty empty thou. Seems Nara's dissapered for a while again. He's been more moody as of late. I know I've not been of much help in that. It seems we always bicker 'bout something. But it's good have you back and hanging around.

-Nayati glanced upon the large group as Iris stepped into the shop, trying to shake the rain off of herself, though truely, as drenched as she was it was nearly a hopeless task. Laughing a little despite the fact she cooed happily to the child within her arms.- "You know rain is supposed to be good luck? Washing away the old, giving place for the new."
-A mere snort was all she recieved from the also pretty soaked youth, and Iris simply giggled a little more, lifting a hand in soft greeting, as she made her way towards the counter to set down Nayati.- "Happy new year everyone."
-Nayati watched with interest, watching the velvets he did know with soft silence.-

"Really?" he asked, "That's odd... Naraka always seemed to be a light-hearted sort of person... though I s'pose it's been half a year and more, now, since I saw him last."
As Iris came in out of the rain, he smiled, and winked at Anastasia. "Why don't you go help them dry off, honey? And then maybe you and Nayati can start your own game."
Anastasia was glad enough of the excuse, and her colors brightened as she made her way to the countertop. It was tough work scaling the shelves that made up the back of the counter, but soon enough she had chinned up onto the countertop. "Happy new year to you too," she told Iris and Nayati. "I can dry you off, if you want..."
Without really waiting for a response, she began to draw the water off of the unicorn next to her, leaving him dry, but still rumpled from the rain.

*LP watched ana.* I suppose he's just tried. He is pretty nice but one just gets feed up and tired after a while. *she shurged* I try to keep any brickering between us to a low.
*She watched Iris and chuckled* How is it that rain is good luck iris? I always thought that it matched the gloomy. *She shurged softly* how've you been anyhow?

The man on the couch waved his hand dismissively. "But enough about that... She's right, Iris, how have you been, lately?"

((*is so super hyped up today* I just found out that I get to illustrate a childrens book!!! And if that's not enough, I'm getting a devil tail and nov letter to do it. *nearly boucnes off the walls from excitment*))
"Oh I.." -He paused as the water began to leave him, laughing a little despite the vagabond ruffled look his was left in.- "That's incredibly useful! Thanks." -A large grin touched his muzzle and he glanced from the large group back to Ana.- "Not playing with everyone else?"
-Trying to wipe/hold back dripping locks of hair, she smiled a little sheepishly to LP.- "Now now.. anything has a bright side if you look hard enough. But...
In some cultures and beliefs you couldn't be more lucky then having rain on your wedding day, because it like I said, washes away the old, and begins your new life freshly. I think it's fitting for ringing in a new year, don't you?"
"Oh?" -Realizing from Ar's words she'd been asked more, she pursed her lips in thought, before shrugging gently.- "I'm fine and good I suppose. I'm not a fan of 'a million things going on at once', but I can't complain too harshly about it."

*LP nods softly* Suppose your right iris. never seen it that way but yes tis very true. And it is a great way to ring in the new year. Thou at my place it's currently snowing. I do hope it's not another blizzard like last years. *she gave a soft chuckle*
Million things at once? Dear lord. I'd have a fit can't keep up with my normal twenty or so a day much less a million.

((Wow, Iris. That's pretty cool. Is it going to be something published, though? - not disputing the value of a devil tail, but if the book's going to see mass market you might want to ask a little more wink ))
"Well..." Anastasia balled up the water and held it in front of her, between herself and Nayati, and explained, "I think they started without me, really."

((Go do that thang. smile I'm gonna bounce myself as soon as the maids leave. They parked me in... But I don't know how long they normally take to clean. So I may be here another ten minutes, or another hour... who knows.))

"Ahhh.." -He glanced down at the game in session, tail flicking softly back and forth.- "Well, we could play something if you like then? What do you like to do?"
"Not really a million things... just lots." -Holding her fingers out she began to list, touching a finger with each item.- "Christmas baking, New years cooking, decorating, undecorating, keeping Nayati and some of my other little ones amused, caring for horses, trying to keep Nayati's garden safe and sound despite the cold and now flooding areas.. and umm" -Pausing a little, she finally laughed.- "Just stuff I suppose. But what about you guys? I'm sure you're doing just as much, yeah?"
((Oh no no, it's just a book she wrote for her baby, who'll be born in April or May. The only copies will be hers, mine, and perhaps one for LP now. :3 ))

((Ah, well, still cool. And I'd love to see a copy if you wouldn't mind...))
"Wow," he commented, "You have been busy. I haven't done anything like that... Mostly I go mooch off folks for the holidays, and I've been bringing up Anastasia in that delightful holiday tradition, as well. Let's see... We started by hitting my parents' house for a week, then went up to visit my brother and help him work on his car, while Anastasia stayed with his wife... Then back to my folks for new years, and now back here. The most work I've done has been to sometimes help with the dishes, if I feel generous."
He gave a feral grin and added, "It's good to be a guy."
Anastasia considered that question. There were lots of things she liked to do, but she couldn't think of any that were actually possible in the shop, here. "I dunno," she told Nayati, "What do you want to do? I mean... I don't have any tools or anything, here, an' there's nothin' to build..."
