The cat's ear twitched slightly as he looked out the window himself. "Oh goodness! Wow. I havent talked to someone so long in forever!" He purred and smiled, turning back to Jigue. "Let me get something so you can take these sweets home." Purring, he stood a moment and went over to the counter were he got a small box.
Coming back he started to put the extra treats inside. His tail flicked. Today had been wonderful. He really HAD enjoyed it and it was nice that he was able to talk and hang about another that enjoyed conversation, or seemed to be starting to like it.
Basil finished and looked to Jigue. He stopped a moment. "Would you like me to help you home?" He knew the other could probably make it, but it would make him feel better knowing that he got back. He didnt want make it seem like the other feline was helpless, because he knew he wasnt. He hoped the other didnt get the wrong impression. He also didnt really want to have to part ways yet....

Jigue tried to keep his ears erect, but it was difficult when they wanted to lower against his head so much. It wasn't fair; why did the sun have to set? Why must the day end? Such lines were rather cliche, he knew, but they rang true at the moment. He sighed as he reluctantly resituated himself on the edge of his chair, eating the last bit of the cupcake quickly and folding up the paper mold. Basil's purring relaxed him, but it also made him miss his friend all the more. For the longest time, it had seemed that Jigue hadn't had such a good time. He couldn't remember the last time another treated him as an equal and not just a handicap.
Realizing there was no use in prolonging it, Jigue braced himself on the table and lifted himself up, stained paper still in hand as he grabbed for his violin. Listening to Basil place the treats inside the box he had gotten from the counter, Jigue couldn't help but smile. "Thank you," he managed to say, nodding at the next question as well. "I'd like it if you could help me home, at least up to where we had met," he answered with a smile. He could feel Basil's uneasiness about his own question, and reached his arm up to squeeze Basil's shoulder.
As Basil finished, Jigue wrapped his free hand around his friend's arm so he could lead him out. He didn't know the way out this far, and knew he would get lost if not for Basil's generosity. The temperature was warm, and Jigue began to feel uncomfortable in his long-sleeved shirt, but the air was calm and had a sweet smell to it -- the kind given to the air from the numerous patches of grass and trees in the area. All-in-all it was a relaxing atmosphere, but Jigue still felt cautious as they stepped out of the bakery as it was still very much different that the atmosphere indoors. He tightened his grip on Basil's arm, resting his head on his shoulder as he tried to relax. The way home shouldn't have very many encounters with anyone, especially so close to dusk, but he still felt on edge.

Basil gave a purr, happy that his offer had been accepted. Whe nthe other feline grabbed hold of him, he wrapped his arm around the others waist gently, but firm enough to help lead him. He carried the treats in his other hand as he gave smiles to a few people left at the bakery. Florien waved from the door of the kitchen.
"Bye Basil! Bye Jigue! It was so nice to meet you! Come back again!"
The cat was relaxed like most of the time as he usually was. It was just his nature. Giving a small sigh once outside, he smiled. "Its a nice night..." It seemed to be a twilight. His favorite time. It was beautiful; the stars just peeking out, but you still have the soft colors on the horizon of the sunset.

Jigue turned to where the sun was still visibly setting, a mango orange against a darkened sky, even if it was blurred together in his vision. Blackness was all around them like a void of empty space, making it so Jigue had to watch his footing even more carefully, for to him it was like being in a closed-off room. Shadows were not discernable to him as they were in the daytime, making him unable to know if something was coming up on him but for the compactness of air around it and the stillness of sound that happened by his ears when he neared. Because of this he had the strong urge to cling to Basil tightly, so as not to ram his side into anything, but tried to back himself away from this instinct. He knew Basil would be more attentive to him so as not to do that, but Jigue wasn't one to let go of worry so quickly, even if it was reasonable to do so.
However, unlike all the other times before, and in a way, contradicting his personality completely, Jigue relaxed and let go of his worry. He wasn't sure how he had done it, and wished he knew how for future reference, but just being with Basil and trusting him like he did, it was... easy. It was easy to trust him! He didn't understand; never had it been so simple to trust someone like this, and within but half a day's time. It usually took much longer to earn Jigue's trust -- days, weeks, even months of time -- but Basil had surpassed these expectations. How could this have been?
Then it struck him, a pang of fear at his heart at the thought: he had a crush on him! But... but that can't be... Things don't just happen like that; it would be too simple if it were. I don't believe in things like that! he thought to himself fiercely, squeezing his eyes shut. There was no happy ending here, there never was. He didn't believe in 'love at first sight,' even if he couldn't see. And yet... his feelings seemed to derail this very belief.
After his moment of silence, Jigue lifted his ears to the sound of Basil beside him, hands still gripped onto his arm. He had hoped he hadn't given himself away, but Jigue's own hands had grown sweaty with such deep thought that he was afraid it just might. As a way to save himself, though he was horribly blushing, he pulled at the collar of his sweater, tucked beneath his vest, and breathed a, "Wow, I guess I shouldn't have dressed so warmly. This summer air isn't going to get any cooler!"

The cat could tell the other feline was nervous, though he didn't let off he knew. With his own experiences behind him, he wasn't much of one to fantasize about love, but only tried to guild others to those feelings. It seemed a bit hypocritical, but it was the way it worked. He believed in dreamlands of peace and beauty, not love and romance.
Basil just continued to purr lowly as they walked. This sometimes happened simply. When Basil had met Orion in England, it had been a snap. Just like that, a blink of a eye. Whims were nice to follow sometimes. It was like following the wind. Picking up and leaving is just like that.
At the others grip the cat just smiled and mildly pulled the other a bit closer. "Summer nights are always nice. Maybe a breeze will start up." He had realized and wasn't going to deny he was attracted to the other feline. It had been so long with so many things that had happened in the day, it was nice. He had very much enjoyed the company and hoped that things could continue. But he would ask about that later. ((x3;; ))

(( Wow... I just realized how many commas I had put in my last post. >.>; That was unintentional. XD ))
"Heh...," Jigue answered simply, blush still visible as he turned his head away. It wasn't the best cover-up, but at least it was something -- and truthful. In an act to continue with it, he rolled up the sleeve of the arm that was still gripped onto Basil's own before alternating, grabbing onto Basil with his other arm while he rolled up its sleeve (while also switching hands that were holding his violin) before returning them to their original positions. "A breeze would be nice to have," he smiled, nodding sharply once.
He hoped he was acting normally now; nothing like thoughts previous to get in the way of things. He sighed, breathing in the warm night air to clear his head. I should just ignore it; I'm acting foolish, he told himself, holding off growling at himself audibly so he wouldn't have to change the subject again. It was just one day, and there was no telling what may happen in the future. For all he knew things could take a downward spiral, so he shouldn't cling so tightly to Basil, let alone develop a crush. Things always seemed to go awry, and it was possible things would prevent the two of them from seeing each other for long. After all, it always seemed to happen like that... friendships never seemed to hold up.
Jigue's eyelids lowered slightly, almost giving off the appearance that he was glaring but more serene. His tail flicked sharply once before continuing its sway as the pale tabby fixated his consciousness on what was current, releasing his train of thought. He listened to the sounds of the outdoors, including the crickets and trees whereas most of the birds were long gone. It was rather quiet, he noticed, and he wondered if Basil had been on any particular train of thought or if he had been walking in the silence all along. "So... you think we could see each other again anytime soon? It'd be nice to have a day like this again," he asked, even knowing it may be a longshot without actually setting up a date and time.

((All good. x3 I do that sometimes. xD Though in a sentence then another thought of the thought then a thought of a thought. xD Etc. <3 ))
Basil was just watching the sunset and his ears perked as the other spoke. He was quite calm as usual, and his tail swished slightly as they walked. At the question the cat gave a chuckle and gently nuzzled into the other felines' hair. "I'm around the park everyday, unless it's rainy. I'm sure we could get together again, it would be positively lovely. If you would like, I could come get you tomorrow or we could meet in the park again, then do something."
Truly, chalking in the park was his life, besides his books at home. It was his sort of day job that took up his time that swept his mind away. Unlike most, he was able to enjoy this job having support at the estate so money was never a problem.
"I would greatly enjoy your company again tomorrow if it isn't a bother. You could possibly help me imagine another beautiful dream scape to take down on the sidewalk for everyone else to enjoy." One of the ways he looked at his creativity in his drawing was it wasn't fair to hide it away for himself, but he needed to share it with the world, even if some didn't rightly appreciate it as some. Everyone was different.

Jigue's feathery ears flicked at Basil's answer, but no sound could come from his throat. He hadn't expected such an answer, one that could reasonably be every day if he had wanted. And Basil seemed to want him around as well! He walked stiffly, unblinking as he mulled it around in his head. They had connected today in a way Jigue was unable to with anyone else to date, maybe it was the same with Basil? But he seemed like such a free spirit, one who was much more outgoing than he himself was, he must've had more close friends.
Jigue shook it off; this negativity wasn't for this moment. Why must he always look at the bad that wasn't proven and could very probably be wrong? He closed his eyes, leaning back into Basil with a smile. "I'd love to come by again tomorrow! I don't have anything planned, and it feels like it's going to be another good day, weather-wise," Jigue finally answered. He didn't feel a storm or any other bad weather brewing, something he was good at predicting with his heightened senses.
His demeanor seemed to change as he continued about thinking of tomorrow, at least mentally. Optimism came more easily now that Basil had told him how often he was out-and-about, and even moreso that he offered to come pick him up. However, the others of the apartment complex might be overly protective of him if Basil came by, just in the fact that they had only known each other for a single day and they didn't want him to take advantage of the blind feline. However, they didn't know Basil like Jigue did. In that single day, Jigue had seen his soul and was given a glimpse of the kind of person he was. The others wouldn't understand, but... Well, Basil had an addicting personality, to say the least. Maybe it would be easier later on... "It's okay, I'll come by. I might not be ready when you come to pick me up," he explained simply, smile brushed across his face. "When are you usually here?"

The cat's ear flicked slightly at the thought... When was he usually here...? "Mmm... Id say safely, by 8 in the morning. I get early starts and the morning light is a very pleasant thing. And if the weather is as nice as you say it will be, I want to get as much time outside as I can."
He smiled and purred happily. He was more than happy with the explanation given to him, and wasn't going to pry because there was no need. "I do hope tomorrow will be a lovely day. I'm sure it will be."
The cat glanced back to the sunset as it was shedding its last rays upon the earth before disappearing for its nightly slumber. Maybe tomorrow he would do a night scape, just like this one. Oh the wondrous ideas! His purring increased a moment as he pleased himself with the thought. "Lovely night, lovely night... That's what ill call it." Hot very creative but it worked....

Jigue nodded once, drilling the time into his head. "Eight it is! I'll try to get here by then as well, but I might be a little late," he said matter-of-factly. He knew it may take more time than he thought due to excitement and his blindness, but he hoped it wouldn't. After all, the excitement may just urge him to move faster rather than mess things up.
Gah, I need to relax! I'm getting all worked up over this... I need to settle down so I can sleep tonight, he told himself, trying to relax his tensed muscles. He turned to where he knew Basil to be and smiled widely, unable to get rid of his visible happiness. "Don't worry, I'm usually right about the weather. Not to mention that I remember another one of my flatmates mentioning that it was suppose to be nice and summery-like all week, at least according to the news," he explained further.
In the next few moments, Jigue enjoyed the silence. Sure, he liked to talk to Basil, something he wasn't very comfortable around many other people, but just being by his side and knowing he was there for him was enough. Silence spoke volumes, after all. As he considered what the two of them could do tomorrow, he was startled slightly as Basil's voice came to his ears melodically, and he wondered what he was talking about exactly. However, he didn't want to sound ignorant, so he remained silent as he turned to the last bit of sunlight he could decipher among the darkness that was all around them.

((Jigue will have to tell Basil where to go. x3 He doesnt know where his house is. he's merely escorting the other. <3) and since Ive been reading the previous posts, I now remember all the promises made xD))
"Lovely! I cant wait. <3" And it was going to be lovely! It would probably end up one of the funnest things he'd do in years, besides drawing that is... "Dont forget you promised to play me a song with your violin. Im looking forward to that." His tail swsihed then slowly wrapped around the other feline happily.
"What should we do tomorrow? You'll have to help me brainstorm." Oh dear... The cat was getting excited. He just couldnt wait. He would probably be up all night sketching his brains out or reading... With a purr he nuzzled the other gently. He really couldnt wait, he felt like a child again, when his sister would make cookies... He'd have to sit and sit and sit and smell them as they cooked... But they were worth every minute of the waiting in the end because they always turned out delicious. As would this 'date', it would metiphorically taste 'delicious'.

(( >.>; Riiiight, I knew that. XD ))
Jigue snickered, nodding at Basil's reminder. "Don't worry, I didn't forget. I'll write up the perfect song to play you!" he replied, blushing slightly at the words that came out of his mouth. He already had a good start punching in the notes in the notebook he carried, but he still had to perfect it. It helped that the song continued to run through his head as they were together, a song that he considered was made just for Basil and nobody else.
Tilting his head, Jigue commented, "You just read my mind! I was trying to consider what we could do, but..." He shrugged just then, not mentioning he let the thought drop. "I'm afraid I'm not very imaginative on the matter. After all, I don't get out much. Too much stress and all," he admitted. It was a lot easier to get out when you had a friend coming with you, but that rarely happened until now. "Maybe we could head down to the harbor? I haven't been down there in a while, and I miss the sand and water. I can't go down there by myself, since it's so far from home."
His head jerked up just then, his ears twitching to the familiar stillness to the air and smell of the brush and plants. "Turn here. The path wraps around the park and then breaks off. My home isn't too far from there," he explained, heart beating rapidly for a few beats before he willed it to settle down. Guess we're going the whole way.., he thought, anxious. Breathing sharply, he smirked. I don't care what the others think. I know better, he concluded, more sure of himself.

(( x3 Teehee. <3 -loves to Mooger- <3 ))
The cat smiled and purred happily. He was about to reply to the idea when the other spoke up again. Turning as he was told, he continued to walk. "I envy you for living so close to the park." He purred. Maybe some day he cuold beuild a house and make his OWN park. Now THAT would be cool... He'd move his treehouse to a tree in the park and he would b able to just climbdown to the sidewalk to draw. He gave a muffled chckle at himself. He sure was giddy...
"The harbor would be great!! I havent been there in ages. <3 I like to sit in the sand and soak up the sun." Luckily his skin toe never changed much. He never tanned nor burned which was pretty nice. He wasnt much of a water cat, though he did let his feet sit in the water, that was about it... At the others comment about it being to far he smiled, "If yo ever want to go, I will take you, that way you wont be alone."

Jigue blushed at Basil's compliment, chuckling nervously. "Well... thank you. We've got a few residents that like to take frequent visits to the park," he explained, leaving out the fact that one practically lived in the park's pond. It was true, it was nice to live so close to the park. If he went out, he didn't have to trek the city to get to someplace serene and peaceful, something he wasn't very adept at.
The tabby cat's grin only widened as Basil agreed that the harbor would be a great place to visit. He was excited to be visiting it again, but even more so knowing that Basil was going to come along. "I think it'd be more fun than I've had there with you there, too!" he commented. He'd probably feel more at home with someone there that had similar interests as him anyway, making the day all the more special. His tail whipped about happily before he made it relax, not wanting to hit anything with it. "Do you have any other ideas? We don't have to do it all tomorrow, either," he persisted, hoping they could do this more often. He wasn't used to doing so much in so short of time, but... maybe it was time for a change?

(( Whee. x3 Anthro in the pond. <3 -giggles- I also need to apologize for my terrible typing skills xD ))
Smiling, Basil gave a chuckle. "We could get some snacks at the bakery before we go so we'll be able to just eat there. I think just a day at the beach would be nice. It's amazing how much time will go by, personally it flies for me." It was true, by time they were done you never know what time it will be.
Then a idea popped into Basil's head, "How about we just wing it. We'll plan as we go along. Like the wind and follow our whims and urges." He purred, his tail flicked slightly happily. Yeah... That would work. "We can work on our flexibility."
