Old habits die hard.
His master had warned him to think before he had acted.
And there were some lessons that were learned harder than others.
Now, due to his striking down a pair of Whitehats, the Local Imperials were on the lookout for him.
Link ducked back into the cover of the alley as an armed Imperial Army Repulsorcar drove past, an Imperial Army Regular manning the rear mounted I-SEL.
"This one should learn to be more cautious. Much has changed since this one was last thrust upon the Galaxy."

"No lie. Jedi are becoming a rare commodity as Krayt tightens his fist."
Link nodded, then blinked.
In an instant his bokken longblade was pressed against the neck of a Rodian male who had somehow managed to steal up behind him without drawing the Ronin's attention.

The rodian's hands were raised and open, indicating peace and lack of armaments. An AR series blaster rifle hung from its strap at the Rodian's side. Clad in a petrol blue fighter jacket with a matching Cap, the being seemed to be a well armed spacer.

"Who are you?" Link asked suspiciously, his bokken still pressed against the Rodian's green flesh.
"Easy there, Swordsman." The Rodian said calmly. "I'm a comrade. The name's Reido. I'm with the Antarian Rangers." The Rodian pulled back his jacket to show a patch sewn on the inside of it: a silver blade overlaid upon a silver Ring on a purple field.

Link had heard of the Antarian Rangers. They were an odd group of beings, but one of the few collections of sentinents that Link could bring himself to trust. Their intentions were good, if not the motives by which they accomplished their missions. And Link understood that concept all too well.

"Prove it." He stated.
The rodian chuckled. "I understand why you wouldn't believe me right off the bat. But if I had any hostile intentions, I'm pretty sure you would have done the same to me as you did to the troopers you bashed. And with power like that behind your swing, you could only be a Jedi."
"Oro?"
"Look at you, kid. No offense-"
"None taken"
"-but you dont look strong enough to break top notch imperial body armor with a swing of your toys swords."
Link mused upon this for a moment and then shrugged.
"Factor in how fast you moved to take them down," Reido continued,"And it narrows you down to either a freak of nature or a Jedi. Fine a line as it is between the two, I gambled upon the latter. And am I correct?"
"This one is a jedi..."
Reido chuckled again."Heh. My powers of observation never cease to amaze, even myself at times." The Rodian glanced out the alley and motioned the Jedi further back into the alley.
Link took a cautious glance at the street then followed, sliding his sword back into his belt as he trailed after the Rodian.

--------

Concealed further inbetween the buildings of Taris, Reido took another quick survey of his surroundings.
"So whats the mission, sir?"
Link blinked.
"Oro?"
"The mission. Theres got to be a reason why you came to a world under Imperial Martial Law, and I'm here to help."
"You misunderstand. Taris was not under Martial law the last time the traveler passed through. He was quite surprised by the change. This one is merely looking for a transport offworld and has no intention of breaking the Imperial Military's hold on this world."

The Rodian looked disapointed. "No plan to strike at the Empire? No bold and heroic attempt to free these people from the burden of Krayt's domination?"
"Um...no....sorry."
"Kirflag." Reido muttered. "You sure you're a Jedi, sir?"
"The Jedi are not supposed to lead. We are to advise and support. So please refrain from calling this one 'sir'." Link stated.
Reido arched an eyebrow. "Didn't seem to matter much in the Clone Wars."
"And look where it got us." Link responded.
"Touche'."
"Oro?"
Reido shook his head. "Its an echani fencing term. But thats not important. The important thing is how I can help you. You say you need passage off this rock?"
"Correct."
"Well I got a ship and i'm about an hour from lifting off." Reido said, pointing a green, sucker tipped finger in the direction of his craft. "I can take you where you need to go, if it will aid in your mission."
Link gave a surpised expression and looked skyward briefly.

"Something wrong?" Reido asked.
"Would you happen to possess a lightsaber this one could borrow?"
The Rodian looked confused. "You mean you dont have one?"
"This one lost his some four years back."
"Wow. Not much of a Jedi are you?"
"The Order is not close with this one..."
Reido sighed and rumaged around in the inner pocket of his jacket. "You're damn lucky I managed to scrounge this up on a trip out to Stoga."

With that he tossed a lightsaber hilt at Link, one which he was very familiar with: a hilt that bore a resembalance to the sword handles of days long past.
Gripping the lost Rk'adk in his hand he stared at it long and hard in disbelief.
It couldn't be...Not even the Force works in such irony. Unless...

"Stoga you say?"
"Yeah. Now shift it. We got to be moving before the Imps tighten their security net and manage to root you out...." He paused, hopping to aquire the Jedi's name.
"Link. Link Darksun."
"Link Darksun? Never heard of you."

Link slid his lightsaber up his sleave. "This one prefers to opperate in the shadows of obscurity. Now let us see this ship of yours and be on our way. This one has much he needs to do and so little time to do it in."
"You and the rest of the Galaxy, Jedi." Reido remarked.

"Ah, yeah," Freya said to Kathleen, taking the datapad. "So, you want us to totally boogie on down to Kuat, and totally help you mega-gank some ships and stuff. Like, am I right?" she queried, crossing her arms.

She nodded. "Yes, but not right now. The way our schedule is going, we will begin moving ships into Kuat via transports within the next few days. We won't be ready for at least a month. However, we need you to convince your allies to involve the GLF fleet. We can secure the necesarry microspace coordinates, but we'll need them to use them and ambush the shipyards directly."

She looked her directly in the eye. "Our goal is to steal the Pellaeon under construction there, and failing that, destroy it. Can we count on you?"

The young Sith Knight kept on following his masters lead, bored as usual. It was a long ride to get here, and he had little or no time to get some training in, get some movement of the muscles, and work on a few things he had been practicing. He walked in small steps in a slow pace, his red and black custom robes flowing a little. Hr=e looked at his master and communicated through telekinesis, and in sithese said, "Master, may I go and find the training room, I need to get a few things done," he said.

Fina Xanth

Fina was in an empty room at the base on Mandal. She had her eyes closed, blue lightsaber held in both hands infront of her and close to her body. Training during her spare time. It was something to do while she waited for orders... Remotes floated around her, their flight paths very random as they spun in place and on the move in the air. There were a total of 4 remotes, all spiraling around her. The remote infront of her shot and she merely moved her blade a bit to the side, the beam absorbing the shot completely...

The remotes continued their routine, shooting a low powered shot at all sides of her. She moved into a spin, swiping the blade this way and that, simply letting the blade absorb the attacks, then moved into another spin, the opposite way. She was attempting to learn a bit more defense against blasters with her Ataru movements. She wasn't really doing too well, and she supposed that she should have other people use some sort of low powered weapon similar to the remotes for her practice, since it was much harder to block shots from other people than it was for a remote. She sensed the shot from the remote behind her coming, but reacted a bit late from moving from the block against the remote infront of her, feeling the sting at her back...

Fina sighed, and deactivated the remotes with a wave of her hand, then brought them over to her, deactivating her lightsaber and putting it at her side before carrying the remotes back to her room. She entered the room, and moved to the footlocker at the foot of her bed, opening it and setting the remotes inside of it with her other training equipment from her earlier days of training. Catching sight of the helmet with the visor down, she remembered first learning to deflect blaster bolts... Then she shook her head, clearing the memory from her head before she went too deep into it. That was the past... She didn't need to linger on it. Closing her footlocker, she moved to leave the room, deciding to find something productive to do around the base, or to see if she had orders.

"So the Kenet Imperialists have been scattered?" Link asked of his new Rodian ally.
The two were making their way through a series of maintenance tunnels in the Undercity, taking the route that would encounter the least Imperial Entanglements. Reido led the way, his powerful AR rifle sweeping the path ahead with it's glowlamp.
"Yep." Reido responded.
"And there is now a Galactic Liberation Front?"
"Thats right."
"You say that the Empire hasnt been able to destroy them?"
"The Empire can't find them. The Gelfs have been on the run for four years after the Kenet loyalists got kicked in the shorts at Wayland. They may have the Core Fleet at their backs, but they're in no shape to stand against Krayt's Empire in a conventional war."
"And there are Jedi who are commanding this force."
"Uh-huh."

Link gave an annoyed sigh. "It is like the flow of time has looped back upon itself. Does no one learn from history?"
"Guess not." Reido said. He snapped off a shot from his rifle, dropping a native monster before it had a chance to spring. "Damn Rakghouls. You got to watch yourself down here or these freaks will jump out and rip you to shreds."

Link gave a slight nod, his mind racing to make sence of what had happened to the galaxy in his absence.
It was though reality were presenting a visual for a lecture his master had once told him.
The population of the galaxy, on a whole, are fools. They never learn anything and will unerringly repeat history's greatest failures time and time again. Thus it is up to a few learned to make sense of the chaos and steer the galaxy on the right path. That is what the Jedi are supposed to do. They must act for the good of the galaxy, to make civilization prosper and advance. For left on its own, the mass will knock over with their asses what they set up with their hands.
"Only now do those words make all so much sence." He told himself. "If this one was not such a fool, he could have done something to prevent this."
"You say something, sir?"
"No, Its-"
Link suddenly became aware of a dark presence, an aura that felt no need to hide itself. He sensed the force being probed and searched, as though something sinister were looking for something.
He shrouded his force signature and cast a cautious eye to the dank, dark undercity.

"It seems that the Sith are on the hunt. Quickly. Take us to your ship before this one inadvertantly defeats the entire operation. And do not call this one Sir."
Reido looked back at the jedi and gave the Rodian aproximate of a frown. "Right then. This way."

"You'll have to return to the Pillar to practice, apprentice," HM stated. "The station can't have every luxury we would desire. But something tells me you won't mind the escape from this dull place. This droid," he said pointing at a small black wheeled droid, "will guide you to the docking area for the Palleaon. no need for a shuttle."

~~~~~
The crew had finished unloading the cargo, as Zanatos announced his intentions for a hike aroud the base. Several humans though it wouldn't be bad for a refreshing walk, though most just wanted rest. So the small group went out into the sunlight again, as Zanatos began taking images with a small camera. Such sights photographed were the shield generator, the main hangar, and had he time, he would have desired a panoramic view. But time grew short quickly. so he would have to reconstruct them on a map later.
Jade nodded, turned and faced the droid. It made a little beep-bop, and then began to guide him to the dacking area for the Palleaon, when the destination was reached, he entered the ship, and went into the cargo hold, he then sat down and began to meditate, trying to focus in on the force before he began his lightsaber training. After centering himself, he opened his cold yellow eyes and arose from the ground.
He ignited both his bladesand began to practice the Juyo and Jar'Kai Niman style of fighting, using martial arts combined with his movements. He practiced doing butter fly kicks, and adding deadly moves to it. He then connected his two lightsabers and began practicing saber staff movements with Juyo, slashing side to side, up down, and all around, practicing keeping motion and how to always be on his guard in a fight.
(The Kenet Loaylists are not scattered. Just relocated)
As it was, there were new orders. Everyone at Mandal had new orders.
Most of the fleet was being split into two divisions, each with a Revenge-II as its focal point. The first, led by Sven, was destined for heading more into the galactic proper, torwards the area of space near Muunilist, to attract some Imperial attention. Those Imperial Knights at base were accompanying as well, to get to their next objective: finding Roan Fel.
The other division, headed by Crow, was on route towards Hutt Space, to gain some information on the whereabouts of Elshae'k. Once known, they would then arrange the mission to liberate him and as many Loyalists as possible.
Both divisions, meanwhile, would also be meeting up with the smaller, splinter fractions, to gain their aid, and get them relocated for the operation at Kuat. Already, a single carrier had been inconspicuously loaded with a squadron of Predators, and more were following every day.
Thus, a datapad was left for Knight Fina Xanth to report directly to the command ship, the Roan Fel.
((Not everyone knows what you know. Rumor and fact become intertwined and twisted as word passes from mouth to mouth.
Reido thinks you're scattered because thats how he heard it. Or it could be that he is using the wrong word to describe the situation, very possible given that Basic is not his native tongue.
Since you never had Jedi in your ranks and were a Loyalist imp supporter anyway, its unlikely that the Antarian Rangers will have that great of an opinion about you, let alone acurate information about your defeated forces.
My characters state what they see and what they know, not what I know, which is the truth of the matter. That separation is the difference between my characters and myself. I dont utilize OoC Knowledge because it ruins the game and it ruins the authenticity of my characters.))
Fina had noticed the Datapad in her room, picked it up, and started reading it as she moved to exit her room, so instead of searching for something to do, she now had a meaning in moving around the base. She was to find a shuttle to take her to the command ship. She read as she walked, then set the datapad at her belt...
Today Fina was dressed in a uniform looking much like an imperial officers, except it was all black. A black longsleeve uniform shirt with black pants, gloves and boots that went up to just under her knee's. She'd entered the hanger for the shuttles and looked them over. She sort of didn't like it when it came to using the shuttles, and it was at times like this that she despised not having a ship of her own. In either case, that was lksomething that she didn't need to bother with thinking about. She just needed to catch a shuttle for the Roan Fel...
She moved to the terminal next to the entrance of the hangar and checked the destinations of certain shuttles, and spotted the closest one loading up with clones to head for the ship. She turned, spotting it, then headed off toward it. As the last of the troops were getting on, she merely walked onboard, just taking a spot and standing. She'd looked around at the clones as they sat in the seats of the shuttle. She merely turned toward the entrance and seated herself cross-legged, waiting for take-off...
After the shuttle had taken off, it wasn't too long before it reached the Roan Fel and the troops were unloaded. Fina left behind the troops and started toward the exit of the ships hangar...
Almost as soon as she entered the hangar, an escort was already awaiting the Imperial Knight. It was a lone guard, a clone in white stormtrooper armor, unidentifiable among the other clone troopers. He walked up to her. "Lady Fina?"
Fina stopped in her tracks, looking at the escort as he spoke to her. She nodded. "Yes?" She said, he obviously had something to say to her. She guessed he'd either tell her where to report, or he'd escort her to where she needed to be.
