((DIRTY BUNNY! NOW HOW AM I GOING TO WAIT FOR YOU TO COME BACK ONLINE? D8 ))
Lorioth ducked his head, unable to determine whether he was happy (was that too much like a pet?) or outraged to have his hair ruffled. There was something distinctly un-professor and student like about having his hair ruffled... but it seemed to suit Rylenn's behavior to do something like that.
Shake it shake it?
He shook his head, rueful and also a little bit embarrassed that he was holding such a conversation with a student. But that seemed to describe him perpetually today.
And so, in a way, it didn't bother him too much.
"What did you what?" he asked, having been distracted too much to understand the train of thought.

"If your specialty is medicine.. then what did I just help with..?" He murmured as he stop and tilted his head ever so slightly.
Even if Lorioth ducked his mind was on other things so his hand followed Lorioth's head. Rylenn blinked and took his hand back after a moment. He grinned slightly.. on a topic he could control. "Did I embaress you? Can I call you Lorioth or do I have to keep up the formalities...?"

"Oh." he smiled, having the grace to look sheepish. "That's just something to make my life a little bit easier." Indeed, it was nothing more than a glorified stain remover. Not that he was ashamed, it just seemed so unprofessional to use the school's resources for personal reasons.
At the next question, he paused. Taking it with a amount of seriousness that maybe it didn't deserve It seemed so lightly said, but Lorioth sometimes had trouble differentiating between such topics.
"You should call me Doctor Manneth." he started. It was proper, wasn't it? Even Javelin controlled herself sometimes when it came to giving him nicknames in front of students.
"But." he mumbled quietly. "I suppose Lorioth is okay now."

Rylenn smiled gently. "How about this.. when we are in private.. I will call you Lorioth.. and when we are with others, it will be Doctor Manneth.. " He grinned. "So you need to lead us to your place of residence and show me the pots and pans and things.. for I must cook.. my cook senses tingle with need." He winked. "I'll make you the best food you ever ate! So good you'll want to marry me just to have my cooking all the time!" He winked impishly at the other.

((... xDDD I LOVE YOU BUNNY!! XDD))
Lorioth let out an amused, if startled laugh at the last words. He stared for a moment, unable to decide if he should be blushing or saying something of the same nature. Sometimes, Rylenn reminded him a little bit of Ardanay. But a more gentle, if cheekier version.
And he didn't know quite what to do. Not that he minded.
"This way, then." he said, tilting his head in a slightly shy little nod.
His place, was it? Well. He was a neat freak, so Lorioth didn't think he'd have to worry about Rylenn walking in on an embarrassing mess.

(( XDD I know I know.. <33 I art teh love. I'll doodle a better one.. that was done at midnight so I was tired. ))
Rylenn smiled and wrapped his arm around the other's neck and shoulders. "I think you're going to enjoy my food.." He winked and slipped into Lorioth's place. He looked around and smiled. "Wow.. neat freak, huh? It's been a while since I have been in a decently neat house.." It was a soft, thoughtful comment as he began to travel around, looking at everything.
His mind took in everything, even scents and flavors on his tongue. He looked at Lorioth through his lashes and smiled. "We're going to have to get you out of that shell, you know.." He padded to the other and poked his nose. He smiled gently. "Tell me about yourself..?"

It was more touching then he was used too, definitely. Most of the time he shied away, or people around him controlled themselves too. But with this one...? He wasn't sure. It seemed natural for the boy to touch, and seeing as they were at his place, it seemed almost natural to allow it.
"Myself?" he repeated, and felt his mind rush to answer this question with... nothing. Blankness. His expression was amused, and somewhat nervous too. What were you supposed to tell others, about yourself?
Indeed, what was interesting enough, and what would be appropriate?
Slipping out of his grasp and moving towards the kitchen, he smiled. No. Everything about him was boring. Certainly, it must be!
"Rylenn, tell me about _your_self." he said quietly. And turned back to smile shyly. "Surely you must be more interesting."

Rylenn laughed and padded to Lorioth. "My life is depressing. It's not polite conversation for most... when I tell it... people pity me and try to, as they put it, give me the love I never had. And it's annoying.. so I don't divulge much.." He smiled. "Plus.. I asked you first and I -am- your guest so as decorum dictates.. I win. You first." He grinned impishly again. That grin was infectious..
He looked around Lorioth's kitchen and began piling supplies up. He murmured for a moment before grabbing some things and looking for pots. There was a serious look on his face.. almost Lorioth's when he was at a chemistry lab. He looked up and smiled. "Pots and pans..?"

Lorioth leaned against the counter the furthest away, watching but mindful to keep away. It was your standard kitchen, but except for the occasional reheating of soup and the rarer sandwich, he hardly used it. Except for maybe the coffee maker, and even that was low on his list.
So he watched, as if he was the student, and smiled at the question, shaking his head.
"I was born. I went to school, and now I am here." he said this softly, shyly-- oh no. Maybe this was too much information? What would someone want to know about him?
"What else is there?" he asked quietly, watching the boy's action. Yes. That serious look was something he had expected from Rylenn, but not over food. "Pots and pans?"

Rylenn laughed softly. "To cook with...." He pointed to the ingredients. "I can't cook without them.."
He leaned back and laughed. "That isn't very detailed.. I'll say something then..."
He paused and thought for a long moment before... "I was born in Georgia in the US. Always lived in the tiny town I was born in.. I could show you the exact spot I was born in. The back of my father's car." He sighed and began to cut things and work with everything. "My mom came from out of town.. from the capital of the state.. we were hicks. Someone from Atlanta amazed us... everyone wanted her and my dad got her.." His voice was soft. "They got married and had me.."

Oh. Right. What had he expected? Moving towards Rylenn and reaching under the cupboard next to him, he opened it, and then motioned with his hand. His expression was one of blankness. Well. He knew kind of what pots were used for. ans pans, too.
But honestly? It was probably his worse 'subject'.
Listening in an attentive gaze as he watched Rylenn, he smiled. It was a fond, slightly distant smile. "It sounds..." he said, searching for the right word. "Romantic."
And it did. The man and the beautiful woman, and the son too.
"They must have been happy."

Rylenn tried to stop himself from laughing. "Not so romantic. Turns out she was a crack-addicted prostitute trying to escape her pimp and duped my father into marrying her and giving her everything she ever wanted. She dumped my father and I as soon as he found out. After that.. he turned devout Catholic and decided to make sure 'I didn't turn out like my mother with her devil genes'. My life was hell until I left."
He set the chicken to cook and looked at Lorioth. He smiled gently, but there was obviously pain there somewhere.. it was just well hidden.

What are you supposed to do at the sight of someone in pain? Rlyenn did everything but remind Lorioth of himself, but there was something easy to identify with, in those pain stricken eyes. Moving closer and placing a hand on the boy's shoulder, he smiled.
What could say?
"You have us now." something similar had been said to him before, and it hadn't healed-- but it had made him feel a little bit better.
Yes. Rylenn did have 'them'. Lorioth just wasn't sure who he was talking about.

Rylenn smiled weakly. He wiped his eyes. "I was taught.. a long time ago to be self sufficient.. I can't.. easily put my trust in others.." He rubbed his arm.
He shook his head and grinned. "See? Not good table talk..." He sighed and looked up at the ceiling. He let his hair down before putting it back up. "It hurts.. and it always will.. and I think it's healthy for it to."
His eyes moved to the food and began shaking it some before starting the pasta. "Why this school?"
