Xantir grinned faintly at the compliment. He had always been the slowest in his tribe and to be told he was now the opposite sparked in him igniting something. He let out a happy whinny then bowed his head and turned following her closely. He didn't know where they were going but for some reason he didn't care. It was as though that one thing, that one tiny boost in his pride, had removed all doubt in his mind. Even if it only lasted for a short moment it was worth it.
He raised a single brow as the river came into view. If they didn't stop racing it was likely one of them would fall in. The rocks were known to be slippery. "Aeris! Wait!" He cried pressing forward passing her slowly he continued to gain distance until her turned to face and stop her. If she fell in he wouldn't know what to do.

Aeris turned her head toward the stallion "what happen ? you're already tired ?" she smiled. They are near the river now. Actually Aeris played one time here in the water with a friend stallion, it was so funny she wanted to play with Xantir, thinking he will like it.

"No...it's not that." He said wondering slightly how her mind always seemed to have such a strange, maybe positive outlook on things. He glanced over to the water that twinkled and beckoned to him not understanding how he ever thought that they could fall in. "It was...it was...I thought...I was afraid you would fall in." He murmured knowing that he sounded utterly ridiculous.
He was scared though he would never admit it, not even to him self. He was scared that his past would repeat itself and that he would lose another. He tried hard to forget what had happened but it would always be there keeping him from being what he wanted. Bysti still held him captive keeping him from being free, the reason why he had run.

Aeris stopped and turn back toward Xantir "You're so cute, thank you for worrying for me. But don't worry i'm a big girl, i know how to take care of myself, i will never put myself and you by the way in something dangerous". she turned her head back to the water "My plan failed. But your reaction was so nice i can't reproach it to you".
She walked calmy toward the river now, "wanna take a bath ?" she said

Xantir didn't react so much on the outside but inside he was smiling slightly. He had never been called cute before but it gave him a pleasant feeling and that was good. He followed her closely not really listening until the word 'bath'. "What?" He asked tilting his head to the side. It seemed like a rather odd request but it was possible that he had just grown accustomed to bathing alone.
"Do you normally bathe with others here?" He asked thinking that he may need to get someone to record all the customs here. He didn't want to mistake something and hurt him self or another.

Aeris stopped before the water, she looked where Xantir was and put a foot in the water. Then she used her tail to throw few water on him. "I bath with the mare with who i live actually, but by this bath i want to say playing in the water, to go paddling, not cleanning ourself. " she smiled

Xantir blinked in mild shock as the water got him straight in the face. He had a lot to learn but for now it was time to get even. An evil grin spread over his face as he leaped into the river ignoring his mind's cries of 'you idiot!' He landed in the icy water only a few meters away from the mare. She had an advantage over him with her long tail but his weight and strength would make it easy to move the water.
With all calculations in mind the battle began for him. He charged forward through the frigid water stopping just short of Aeris to send a small wave of water at her.

She received the water on her neck. With a mischievous glance she said "good you decided to come in, it is cold no ?" and then she trew much water toward Xantir. She laughed, even if she herself thought the water is cold, "Apparently, it's good for the health"

"Just a bit..." He said shivering a bit as the icy stream water hit his flank. It was fun, but he didn't see how it could be good for health. More then likely it would only lead to sickness if they didn't dry quickly after words. It was far to cold to be out in the open air and wet. He took a few steps back wards then started kicking up a few small spurts of water. He didn't want her to get sick but it was to soon to stop just yet. Their battle of water had only started.

Aeris said it but she started to feel the cold water through her clothes. "I heard it is good for blood circulation" she laughed. Then she shook herself and the water on her clothes flew arround. It was fun, even if it was cold. But she will not be able to stay in the water for long

His eyebrows furrowed at her explanation. He had never heard anything of the sort but then health was generally something left to learn about on your own. In fact he hadn't even known what sick was until he arrived half dead here. Still something didn't ring right to him so he stepped closer and put his forehead against hers. Her coat was frozen but she felt unusually warm underneath. No matter what was said he knew that wasn't a good sign.
"If it is good for you're blood then they meant in the warm weather." He said pulling away before nudging her side to get her to move. "Come on, you should get out before you get sick or freeze."

Actually Aeris was starting to feel dizzy ((with eyes like this @_@ XD)). She accepted to move when Xantir pushed her. "Ok ok i go out" she smiled even if she felt cold, she thought Xantir started to be much natural with her, it made her happy.
When she left the water her clothes became heavy with the water weight. "Ouch" she said when she felt it. "We need to find a place to warm up. I guess i got a bad idea" she winked and sticked out her tongue toward Xantir

He gave her a look of concern at her slight cry of pain then put his mind to work. He didn't know many warm places outside of the village but perhaps a place small enough would work. "Follow me..."He said making his way quickly up stream towards the forest. There was a small cave there barely big enough to fit a horse but it would serve their purposes just fine.
If he could get her inside he could block the entrance from the wind so she would warm up and dry. It never even occurred to him how he would be stuck outside in the weather. In truth it didn't matter. He was strong and even if he got sick he wouldn't let it keep him down. They would have to force him to lay if he did.

Aeris shook her body to put out of her clothes as much water as she can, then she followed Xantir. "Where did we go ?, are you alright ? I hope you will not be sick because of me, sometimes i really need to calm down" she said quickly "but i want to make you smile it's why...".
Then she shut up and tried to follow the stallion

Xantir smiled softly not sure how to respond to her worries. He didn't know how to describe the place so he barely knew where they were going. He was alright but he didn't know for how long so he couldn't very well answer. She wanted him to smile? That desire he didn't under stand, after all, hadn't he already smiled for her? She was so kind but he didn't know what to say to her. Anything from the voice ran the risk of sending people away it seemed.
All this in mind her opted for silence for the rest of the trip glancing back occasionally to see if she was doing alright. He could see the piled rock cave just ahead. He didn't stop but stepped to the side to give Aeris a better view. "That's where we're going." He said tilting his head at the rock. "Once we get close you climb inside. You should be warm in there."
