He does not have the sense to hold on right now. The brown landed in the free stretch beside his rider and, glass still in hand and skin over one shoulder, K'rel climbed to his back. Disregarding a warning from the brown, he instructed Siventh to the air, and once both were clear of the heights they disappeared between--

To reappear to the sound of shattering glass over the beach. The frigid cold of between had been far too much for the elegant wine glass, and the rider's tight grip upon reentry to normal air had been enough to destroy the frozen glass. He jerked his hand back with a curse, but not before several pieces of chilled glass lodged themselves in his palm and fingers.

...You really deserved that, you know,
Siventh snorted as he spiraled down towards the beach. The brownrider was too preoccupied with finding something to wrap his hand to reply.

Liliath raised her head with a snap as T'bell entered the room and let out a hiss. The greenrider backed up in start. Between!

"What?" T'bells stomach dropped and he absently patted the whers that crowded around him. "Who?"

Siventh and rider. She was too annoyed ot use his name. the beach.

"He's drunk!" T'bell cursed and twitched through his whers. There had been no keening so there wasn't a death, but the idea of him doing something like that and still having a good amount of wine left in the skin. "By Faranth's egg." He cursed again and pulled himself onto Liliath's back. J'kin, K'rel, if it made two he lost just after almost figuring something out he diodn't want ot think of what a mess he'd be.

Liliath took off and flicked between before leaving the bowl. Her own risky actions didn't bother her, she was small and confident enough that she could handle it, and her rider's mind was not fuzzy around the edges.

The brown had just come to land on the beach in a flurry of sand when Liliath appeared in the sky overhead. He crooned a greeting towards the green when he sensed her irritation, a sound which quickly turned to a full-out bugle of hello at a swat from his rider which was mean to silence, not encourage, him. Wincing at the mild headache that spiked from the combination of alcohol and dragon bugles, K'rel slid from his brown's back, dropping the wineskin on the sand in favor of attempting to remove the glass shards form his palm by what little light was available from the twin moons in the sky.

I would not have come if there was a risk,
Siventh quickly assured the green, tucking his wings in for her to land near him. I know this cove well enough to find it without my rider's aid, though his picture was a good enough guide.

Liliath landed quickly and happily flung sand over K'rel. My rider is irritated. He is right to be. I would not lose you between. She felt T'bell slide from her back and canted her head to him, then dragon grinned. Excuse me, Siventh. You would hear much more for this if you did it.

And with that she snatched K'rel as if he were only a herd beast and, with a few wingbeats, dropped him in the waves. She was nice enough to go only waist hieght, and kept herself from dropping him too far.

T'bell was too confused to stop her, but jogged after her anyway. "Oh Liliath!"

K'rel ducked his head against the cloud of sand that attacked him with the green's arrival, and settled for turning his back to the green to continue picking out slivers in his palm. However, the last thing he expected was to be plucked from the ground and find himself hanging out over the water. "Ahhh--!" And splash. His shout was abruptly cut short as he was dropped into the surf, and, even with the water as shallow at it was, it was a moment before he surfaced, coughing up water and sending a rude gesture Liliath's way with his injured hand.

Siventh experienced only a brief moment of worry when the green initially kidnapped his rider, but quickly enough realized that Liliath meant him no real harm and let out a draconic laugh as K'rel waded back towards the shore.

Liliath resisted the urge to step on him and make him go under again. And simply followed him out of the tide, eyes whirling.

"You idiot!" T'bell was there to meet him when he emerged sopping wet. "Going between drunk?! What a fine Wingsecond you make! Lets just kill ourselves off before thread even has a chance you coward!" He shoved him hard back into the water.

"Siventh wasn't lying when he said you sulked, you mighty hatchling!" He cursed, then noticed the small eddys of darker colour in the water and his anger dropped, replaced by concern. "Are you hurt?"

K'rel stiffled a groan, lifting his head to roll his eyes at the greenrider. "I knew exactly what I wa--" And then, to add to the growing list of wonderful things that had happened that night, he was shoved over and promptly fell beneath the waves once more, though this time he was much quicker to surface. The dunkings had had the effect of sobering him up a touch, and he had the sense to grit his teeth against a reply he would undoutably regret if spoken aloud.

Instead he fisted his hand--which was probably less than intelligent, when he thought about it--and stormed as best he could through the water towards the beach. "I'm perfectly fine. You wouldn't happen to have brought an extra wine glass with you, would you?"

T'bell scowled at him and followed him out of the water, but kicked a splash at the brownrider's back for good measure. "Let me see it, you giant hatchling. And no, I didnt bring you a wineglass you LUSH!" He snatched at the back of K'rels' shirt. "You're drunk, and wine won't help that at all. Besides, Liliath's sitting on the wineskin.

And she was.

"And if you're this roaring drunk, Wingsecond, maybe it's a good idea I asked before I got it in my head to kiss you!"

"If you and your dragon are going to spend Turnover dumping me into the ocean, the least you can do is allow me my wineskin beforehand," he countered, waving his fist towards the green. "Off of it, now!" However, he did pause in step, mostly because of T'bell's hand holding his shirt, though the greenrider's following words only gave him more reason to stay. Truely confused now, he turned to face the greenrider, shouting just as loudly as T'bell was. "And what, little green, is that supposed to mean?!"

Liliath ignored him.

"It's supposed to mean that I was hoping you weren't going to turn into a mad raving drunken lunatic, pull some stupid stunt, get yourself hurt," He yanked his arm over and gently examined his hand, "And act like a spoiled child because I thought to ask, and rightly now, if you were drunk before you started trying to fly me!" He frowned at him, "Don't you think it matters to me? Don't you think I might want a clear idea of what you are aiming for?" His voice dropped as Zephyr spun up, taking flight away from the loud noise, "I may be a greenrider but that does not mean what everyone thinks it means. Next time I try to figure something out I'll make sure you're not drunk when I ask."

K'rel seemed momentarily shocked by T'bell's behavior, mainly that the greenrider was speaking to him in such a way at all. His surprise momentarily gave way to amusement at the greenrider's, to him, unexpected bravery, but amusement quickly turned to shame as T'bell went on. He silently allowed the younger rider to inspect his hand, head bowed slightly as he watched T'bell's hands work.

"...I wasn't trying to take advantage of you," he finally mumbled without looking up. "I wouldn't."

"I know you wouldn't." T'bells' voice was quiet, but he was still angry. His hands were gentle as he picked out the glass with deft fingers. "Liliath and many others would flay you alive for it." He sighed, "I was more worried that you didn't know what you were doing, or that I'd be taking advantage of you being drunk because I liked the idea, and that we'd both feel sorry for whatever happened because of it." He glanced up briefly. "Now that I'm experienced to say it, I can assure you I'd prefer my come-ons sober, if that's seriously what you intended."

"Fear of your dragon is not what prevents it." His frown returned as he watched the greenrider work, though he hardly flinched at all as T'bell drew the shards of glass from his hand. However, when T'bell looked up, he smile, closing the injured hand in a fist to keep him from getting distracted by it. "Well then, am I sober enough now to try again?"
PostPosted: Sat Jan 06, 2007 6:04 am

T'bell frowned at him, though it was less angry and more amused, "At least you're sober enough after between and two dunkings to ask that question." He tilted his head, "I can still smell the wine on you, but you're not raving anymore. I'd say you're sober enough to.." He fidgeted, fingers drumming a light rhythm on the brownrider's closed hand. "To try something simple so you don't overwhelm yourself with the complicated things."

"Complicated things!" Laughing, he drew his hand away from T'bell's, pointing an accusing finger at the greenrider. "You underestimate me, little green. First worrying about between, then not trusting me to my own hand, and now this." He shook his head once more, but noonetheless quickly closed the space between them and lifted a hand to tip up T'bell's chin, meeting him in a brief, innocent kiss before turning and heading towards the green dragon. "Off of my wineskin."
