Ran was about to 'remind' the other girl that she didnt want to be massed with the others from Kirigakure, when Mai-lin took off. She glared at the door and sighed. She'd go visit the apartments ruins later that night, when everything cooled off. There still might be a chance some of her valuables had been saved... Afterall, containing her most precious ones had been a thick metal box that she didnt think any fire could really melt it.

Flopping back onto the bed, Ran stared at the ceiling once more. What did she care? The baka probably remembered someone else she had to yell out over this 'Li-wu' guy. As she stared at the ceiling, she didnt notice her eyelids becoming heavy again until she was asleep.

Ran remained asleep, her face buried under the pillow on the bed. Her breathing seemed a bit ragged, and she coughed sometimes, shifting on the bed every time she did. She didnt really have dreams... or nightmares, for that matter. Just vast expanses of nothingness, often with her standing alone, other times, important items to her in them....

Ran sat up quickly and coughed a bit more because of the quick motion. She glanced over at Mai-lin, then where the... She got up and moved over to the metal box that sat on the floor. Sticking a finger by the lock, bone stuck out and she formed it into the right key before hardening it and using it as the key. Opening the box, she let out a soft sigh.

Ran closed the box after a few moments, and picked it up. Standing she went and sat back down on the bed, the box resting in her lap, its metal still a bit warm. She watched Mai-lin for a moment, and then a question formed. It might've been a bit cruel for someone else, but for her, it was just mearly curiosity.
"Why do you mourn his death so much? Every time we bump into eachother, you always bring him up, like its everything's fault he's dead or, just my fault, or whatever. What was great about him?"

Ran narrowed her eyes slightly. "Well, that's a stupid reason to mourn him all the time, dobe." She grunted. "I dont think he would've wanted it... Besides, you dont know what really happened with his death, so you shouldnt go blaming the world for it." She growled. Rubbing her eyes slightly, she yawned a bit.

"I understand your hatred, though." She muttered. "People close to me have died because of that village, too, but it's still my home." She lay back, the box still in her lap, the bone-formed key shifting into just a peice of bone sticking out before she broke it off and stared at it.

"What a stupid way to live... to groan and complain about a death every day of your life and not allowing yourself to appreciate some of the finer things... Even i'm not that stupid, and i'm the last one alive from my clan..." Her voice was quieting as she stared at the bone fragment, lost in thought.

Mai-lin glared at Ran. "You just don't understand." she muttered, standing up. "I'm going out." She said as she looked at Himi who was curled up asleep at the end of the bed. Mai-lin rolled her eyes and opened the door. It slamed shut as the dog-girl stalked out of the building.

Mai-lin shuffled her feet against the ground as she walked. She really had no idea where she was going but she couldn't stay anywhere near Ran for long without getting mad at her and trying to start a fight. SHe thought about what the Mist girl had said and chewed her lip. "she doesn't know anything about Li-wu! How can she know what he wants...but she's right...I just...I can't let him just die for no reason!"

The young teen looked up and saw she was at the edge of the old -very old- Uchiha compound. She pulled herself over the gates into it and started to wonder around, kicking the stones.

Looking around the area she was currently stabled in, Anekio pulled out her katana. "There's nothing else to do, eh, Itachi-sama?" She pulled out a crinkled picture of the man that had killed majority of her ancestors, smiling at it. Of course, the picture made no reply, so she put it back in her pouch. Twisting the katana around in her hands, she got to work for helping out her arms and cutting things.

Hm..Wonder what the other child of the group will be like, surrounded by three girls too. She smirked inwardly, slashing at the trees, lightly, with her weapon.

Anekio continued her work, moving her katana from hand to hand and slashing it repeatedly at the tree. Hearing the flapping of wings, she stopped her work. "Oh, hello, Fuki." She smiled, wiping the sweat off her forehead, for she had taken it off some time ago. "What's going on?" She asked, as if she was having a real coversation with the bird. Settling herself on a large rock, she took in a deep breath, letting it out through her nose.

Anekio sighed softly, putting her katana away. "Hm..Tori wants to have a chat or something?" Pulling off her leather gloves, she put them in her pouch. "This'll be amusing I'm guessing." Walking up to one of the higher branched of the tree she was just using, she focused her chakra to the soles of her feet. It'll be faster if I take trees. She told herself, taking off on the branches, everytime making sure her katana wouldn't cut her leg, like it had done before.

She continued until she saw Fuki, who was a few miled away. "Eh, good thirty minute run." She sighed, settling herself on the tree branch. "Let's just hope I don't get in trouble for slacking off." It was probably true, what most of the clan thought of Anekio, she was somewhat lazy. She did work hard, but she didn't like to do so, which troubled her quite a bit, since her father always expected her to be just as good as anybody else. Relaxing herself, she stretched out on of her legs, with a snort of amusement.

As Rei jumped from roof to roof, he found himself inside the old Uchiha place. As he jumped up to the largest building, he noticed a girl below him. She had short brunette hair and golden eyes...and she was rather cute.

"Yo!" He called down to her, hoping not to startle her.
