Might as well... She thought to herself, figuring someone would have found out anyways. "Their father was one of the humans, Vincent was his name. We would have married but first my people refused to accept him, well some of them anyways. Anyways, when he was sent back, there was...Besides loosing him, I lost my son to Earth, but my daughter...Elain. After I found that Vincent and Mark had been sent back to Earth, I found Elains..body. No one had killed her, but the incident had. I still don't know why." She told her, appearing to shrink more than she was. "When I went to check up on Vincent and Mark, the town they had lived in was bombed because of a stupid war. I managed to beam something that both had that we had shared as a family. So, in all reality, I lost them all."

"P-Persephony!" Illusen shrieked while she sobbed. Hugging her tightly, she told Persephony, "I love him so much... But... I would never want that to happen... Dave..." His name! DAVE!

(( Yes! Another person finally! *does a happy dance* ))
Persephony had tears running slowly down her face, her arms mechanically placing themselves around her to return the hug, hesitantly returning it. "You were lucky...He is still there for you." Sighing, she pulled back, a sad smile on her lips. "There was a reason I became head of the research team as to how and why the planet did react that way to the humans being here for a year." She added, rubbing her arms comfortingly.

Nodding, more tears silently fell down Illusen's cheek. "I... I know. I just wish it was the same for you... That you didn't have to lose them..." Illusen held onto the hug for a while, and once her sobbing quieted, she let go. "When they come... if they come... the humans, what will we do?"

Persephony shook her head, "What happened happaned, and it was probably meant to happen that way." She said softly, sighing as she rested her chin on her hands. "When the humans come we have to greet them like before. After all, we or at least I, are the representatives of our people. The ambassadors, its what we are supposed to do. None of the others besides the five of us are doing this research. And we barely have anything!" She yelled at the air and sky, sighing in frustration. Calming after a few moments, she stared at the water. "Sorry, I'm just frustrated."

Sighing to calm herself further, she looked at Illusen and smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Thank you Illusen. To do your best is all we can do. Anyways, we should probably get back. I need to do more work." She rubbed her eyes and yawned, rising up to her feet and turning back in the direction of the stump that was a side entrance to her secret underground complex.

Following Persephony into the stump, Illusen told her, "I've always loved all of your secret passageways... How do you come up with them?" She was trying to make sure that Persephony's mind was as far away from her lost loved ones and into something else.

Blinking, she looked around the hallways as they walked through them, Persephony going back to the main data room where they had been before. "Really? Well, I just first start with places that people would find an object just there. Like, really obvious, so obvious that they just consider it normal like the tree stump in a forest. So, thats one way."

"If your planning on taking any others, then you must have a death wish. You can't go exploring on your own or else the passages will twist themselves to that the traps will go off when you least expect it and are too relaxed to react fast enough to save yourself." She said rather harshly, plopping down in a chair and swiveling over to one consol and typing away quickly, codes and equations, trying to simulate a situation for one idea she had as to the planets reason.

Persephony had to internally push her brief anger down again, hiding the fact quite well. "Would you rather I tie you up and then feed you to the gobskens down the hall? After all, their favorite meal is fairy. Then don't complain." She snapped, pausing in her typing to narrow her eyes at Illusen, then turning back and finishing up, hitting a button on the keyboard and sitting back to watch the screen.
"I'm running a simulation to try and see if one of my theories is correct." She answered, her eyes following the movement across the screen as it zipped by. But the result was not what she wanted, pounding a fist in frustration down on the counter top, the lights flickering as sparks rippled off of her body before she relaxed again, everything returning to normal in the room.
