... Some weeks later ... Rainy sundays. They had to be Ra's favourite. They were like a license to do nothing. For a start it was Sunday, the last day of the weekend the day of rest. Then the rain, there was no point getting up if you couldn't do anything. Yawning a little he snuggled back down under the covers and pulled Obie closer. Closing his eyes he was prepared to drift off to sleep when his cell phone started to ring. Groaning he rolled over and reached his hand out to try and locate the annoyance.

Obie smiled and snuggled deeper into Ra's warmth. This was why she loved him. Moments like these where he just held her and made her feel secure, something he had been lacking in as of recently, she thought but made herself stop. As his cellphone began to ring, she sighed and released him so that he could find it.
Having had a minor disagreement with Giani over the phone, Israel's overactive mind had started to cause her to panic. He was going to leave her. They never fought, but since her decision things had been kind of strained between them and now they had actually had an out and out argument. Panicking, she dialed the first number that came to mind.
Hyperventilating as she attempted to calm herself, Israel clutched her cellphone to her ear and pulled into herself as she leaned against the side of her bed.
"R-Ra... please... I need t-to talk to s-someone," she managed to get out once he answered his phone.

Ra closed his eyes as he heard the voice on the other end of the phone. It wasn't that he didn't like talking to Is and helping her out, it was just Obie was getting a little touchy about him spending so much time with her.
"Izzy, just breathe o.k." He said flopping back onto the bed and running his hand through his hair. "What happened?" He asked with concern.

Obie breathed in deeply and arched an unamused brow at the name he spoke. She was all for helping people with their problems, but this was seriously starting to get out of hand, she thought as she turned her back towards him and hugged her pillow.
"I can't! I'm trying but I can't... Giani and I had a fight. I knew this was going to happen. I knew it," she sobbed. "And n-now I can't breathe... I can't stop crying," she cried, yanking a stuffed bear off her bed and clinging to it tightly, burying her face into it. She really was trying to get a grip on herself, but the harder she tried, the worse she got.

"Is, just try and calm down." He said watching Obie roll over and closing his eyes again. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. He thought as he listened to Is panic. "Israel it's going to be fine, G isn't going anywhere." He looked at Obie. Did he stay and reassure his pissed off girlfriend or go and help his friend in distress. Obie he could deal with later, at the moment he did not want Is to do something stupid. "I'll be down in a bit." He said flipping the phone shut and leaning over Obieto rest a hand on her waist and kiss her shoulder.
"Is thinks Giani's going to walk out on her. I need to go down and stop her doing something stupid." He sighed and leant his forehead against her shoulder. "I'll be back to cook sunday lunch for you like I promised."

Obie swallowed and simply nodded as she closed her eyes. Assuming he came back at all, she thought with a slight bitterness as she stretched out and pulled the covers up over herself.
"Fine," she said softly, pulling the covers up over her head.

Ra returned having calmed Is down, phoned Giani and asked him to come and spend some time with her. It was his job to be reassuring her about this whole mess. Not Ra's. If he wasn't careful his own relationship would go down the pan.
Looking forward to dinner and a movie with Obie he smiled and turned the handle to her door. It was locked. He frowned and knocked.
"Obie, it's me. Are you there?" He asked resting his hand against the door.

Obie sniffed and wiped her palms over her cheeks as she looked over at the door. Today he had promised. He had promised that it would be just them and he had been gone for -hours-.
"Go away," she called out and hugged her legs to her chest as she looked away from the door. Almost everyday it had been something. Granted, she knew Is was going through a rough time, but he was -her- boyfriend. Is still had Giani and if they were having problems, it had nothing to do with her or Ra. At least.... it had better not, she thought darkly.

Ra sighed at her words and rested his head against the door.
"Obie, please. Are you going to let me in so we can talk?" he called through the door. "I'm sorry, I really, really am. Please let me in."

"I said go away!" she yelled and grabbed the sofa cushion, throwing it against the door. She was so angry she was shaking. Why did it have to be him? No... why had she allowed herself to get so attached? She had known, deep down, she had known. Everything had been going too smoothly. Life was never so easy going without plotting to rip the rug out from under her.

Ra rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. Women. He thought to himself.
"Obie, pealse don't be so rediculous." He said with a slight weary tone. "I said I was sorry. I got Giani to come over and do his job so she should be fine now. Please Obie, I was always there for you when you needed a friend, can't you trust me?"

Bolting up from the sofa, she grabbed a bag of his things and stormed over to the door and unlocked it. Pulling it open she looked up at him her anger plain to see.
"If it had been that ******** simple to take care of, why the hell didn't you do it sooner? Just leave me alone Rashne," she said, shoving the bag into his chest and moving to shut the door again.

Ra blinked, severly shocked by the ammount of venom that shot from her mouth. Of course it would be his fault. Trying to help a friend. Sometimes he wondered why the ******** he bothered with people. His first thought was to let her throw he tantrum. His second thought caused him to catch the door before it slammed shut and glared at her.
"Don't be so ******** selfish Obsidian." He said as he watched her. "I didn't know how serious it was until today. You know it hurts that you can't trust me to help my female friend through a breakdown without screwing around. Do you really think I would pass up spending time with you unless it was a life or death matter?"

"Selfish? That's right... I'm selfish. I haven't bloody seen you in weeks and when I have you're too tired because of all the time you've spent with her. Excuse me to have wanted -one- ******** day to be with you in your busy damsel saving schedule. You make it too damn easy for people to take advantage of you, so forgive me for being a little paranoid. I mean... I -saw- the way you were with her. You were being -awfully- friendly for being just friends," she yelled brushing away angry tears.

Ra sighed and stepped inside, closing the door so they could have this argument in some area of peace.
"You see me all the time." He said keeping his voice level. "I hang out with her when you are busy studying because I understand how important that is for you." He sighed and looked away for a moment. "She's not taking advantage of me. And please don't jump to those kind of conclusions Obie because I would never cheat on you and it insults me that you think that low of me."
He swallowed and looked down at th floor.
"I just wanted her to know that she had a good friend, I was trying to be caring. Now if you want to just take a deep breath and calm down a bit i'll tell you the full story. One that you might understand. You know, thinking of it I was lucky Chii was so absent when I took you in that time. Into my room. A bigger cause for suspicion I think."
