Lamia led the way, Hallas makign sure to keep an eye on the surroundings, in case of enemy approach. It would take a good hour to reach the Hellion dive point, so they had to stay cautious. They came to a rocky outcropping leading to a Vale, and Lamia led them around the side, just into the yellow zone
Hallas brought up her com window "Now that we are out of possible contact range, and I ahve turned all my communication links off, I can talk with you. I am with The Arrangement, a group who are against Grandmaster Celsus and his phycho-tyrannical rule. We haven't done much yet as far as mounting ourselves against the Grandmaster, but I have a feeling that, perhaps it was The Arrangement that had our mission changed to end up teaming with you guys. We will know once we arrive at our destination, I assure you, our leader may have unorthodox methods and act shady and eccentric, but he has a heart of gold, and I respect his ideals"

"For the moment, would you mind staying focused, there will be time to discuss this later." Shadow said, not meaning to sound offensive. he was dedicated, focused to the innocents of the war. Not all were lucky enough to defend themselves since war broke out, let alone have the chance to flee.

After about ten minutes Chimera had reported in confirming the destruction of the Anti-Aircraft defenses that that were covering critical strategic zones and the forces protecting them. Pin Point had yet to report. Zealot and Predator were outside the capital, scoping out the defenses. The destitute suburbs, cratered and battered by indirect orbital fire. Several shot down bombers had crashed into the homes of the poor. Zealot and Predator began to move in. "The Orbital Defense's power generator should be in the government and military sector. Let's get in and out quick. Possibly hit the generators for the Anti Air defense grid here." "Roger."

Meanwhile Pin point had found a nice cozy spot on the top of a hill over looking a depot with the main force of mobile artillery cannons and rocket launchers. He was about a kilometer away. His gun cameras came up. They were his scopes. He fired into the engine blocks of the vehicles one by one dismantling the force.

THey arived at what appeared to be a rocky cliff next to a river, and Lamia went over to a somewhat covered section of rocks. Within a few seconds, a nice hole was there
"Alright, I've opened the tunnels, let's get a move on, you guys lead, I'll cover your asses"

Shlag's and Zealot's tore into the capital city of Meconis. They bulldozed vehicles that got in the way. Every window in the buildings they pasted by was blown out. They made there way at high speed toward the government sector.

Shlag suddenly had a wrenching feeling in her gut. She knew what it was. She had experienced it before. "Retreat." Her voice over the radio was steady and calm. Shlag and Zealot opened a glass cover and hit a switch. Two rods popped out of the top of their mech's shoulders. They released their mech's limiters. The limiters were only releasable on special forces mechs. It granted them infinite amount of energy for one minute. They both hit the over boost in an upward motion. Zealot quickly outpaced Shlag being a whole 300km/h faster in over boost. Within 20 seconds they we out of the suburbs. "Ma'am, why did we retreat?" The second he finished his question the charges detonated. The shock wave only added to their already incredible speed. The explosive power had been hampered by the bombs ground level detonation. Nuclear explosions tended to detonate down and their most effective was always a mile to half a mile above the target. The explosion was large, but could have been much more deadly had it been detonated VIA above the ground. They wouldn't have escaped had it not been ground level. A second after the explosion a screen popped up in her visor. "Blue Nymph do you copy? We have readings of a nuclear explosion in your vicinity." "My squad and I are alright. My Squads has received no casualties. I repeat no casualties." Your orders are to pull out. Return to the LZ. We're going to bombard the ruins into dust and everything below it with it. "Roger that." The screen closed and another opened. "Rendezvous at the LZ. We've just been ordered to evacuate." Chimera and Pinpoint appeared in the window. The nodded and turned their forces back toward their LZ.

About half an hour later they all had arrived and a transport ship arrived to pull them out. They loaded up their mechs and the ship took off. The mechs received a thorough spray down with water to remove the radiation. The water was then dumped before they exited the atmosphere. The Sal Torasian fleet turned all weapons onto the Meconis and the surrounding several countries. Their aim and munitions would leave the entirety of the Meconis and surround wastelands into dust. The ruins containing the artifact needed to power the Trans gate received a bombardment from the Imperial Flag ship and two large heavily armed battleships class destroyers. The entire fleet fired tactical nuclear weapon tipped rail cannon rounds into the ground where they exploded beneath the surface. So all that would be left of the country, along with the mountain range protecting it, were thousands of large craters and another area added to the Blood Sea. The monolith containing the artifact in the catacombs below the ruins was severely damaged yet not destroyed. It's base sunk into the ground leaving what looked like a metallic pedestal covered in boulders from the collapsed roof.

Shlag and her squad took a seat in the debriefing room as the ships continued to bombard the planet. They were going to turn the area into one big crater. An officer stepped into the debriefing room. Shalg and her squad went to attention. "At ease. Before the nuclear weapon in Meconis was detonated we picked up a transmission from the Aucties confirming they were behind the blast. We know you ran into some of their ground forces. The emperor will soon be declaring open and all out war against them. As for the original objective. We seemed to have accomplished it. But we're not completely sure. The Monolith containing the artifact known as the Bangle of Istar, has seemingly been destroyed. Since we have next to no information on the new enemy we will undoubtedly face we must assume the monolith hasn't been destroyed. We gained knowledge of this threat from an ancient transmission from where we believe the birth of the universe took place. It detailed the threat of the race known as Necontyr. They are far more resilient than anything we know about and have been dormant for well over 4 billion years. A couple of our moon bases had fallen to these creatures when we had mined too far and found their resting places.
This brings me to my next point in this story. They were the entire reason this war started. As you know 150 years ago we were in the most powerful alliance on this planet. Some cultists found the Bangle of Istar and had removed it. They took it deeper into the catacombs beneath the temple and unsealed the Necrontyr is hopes of finding a safer spot to hid the bangle. From what happened next is all speculation. We assume the necrons took the bangle and kept it. They then flooded out of the catacombs and began the systematic destruction of all life in the region. Our mother nation detonated several nuclear weapons in those regions. We had already been at war for 138 years and this seemed like we were losing the battle until we learn of the information our mother nation had concerning the development of that situation. Which brings us to four years ago when we had received the transmission. It dated back to 65 million years after the assumed date of the universe's creation. It chronicled the Necrontyr's genocide of all life on the planets the were on and the planets they were colonizing. Ours was one of the colony planets. Aside from that. The main catacombs they constructed were in the mountains where the Aucties are currently mining, beneath the ruins we were going to take today. The rest of the catacombs spread across the planet. Which is why our crust looked like it had been mined for millions of years when we first started mining. We have no information concerning their fighting abilities. Only that they had systematically destroyed many of the 'great old ones'.
Now onto war strategy. We're going to amass our three fleets and annihilate the Aucties. Before we do that we have to evacuate all of our civilians from the surface just in case we have to resort to using the Coaxial Cannons on the planet. Our armada has enough fire power to blow up this planet. That would only take place as a last resort. We would then fall back to our fortress world until we could settle a new planet."
