Okay, clear this up for me if I'm wrong...
If any kind of OTO-inspired chaos magic/k is an appeal to the hermetic paths, isn't it more important for a chaos magician to then study the patterns of reality and attempt to manipulate them on a more intuitive level? Perhaps even focusing on becoming a manifestation of the law and chaos inherent in the patterns of the universe?

its your own thing, makind it chaotic.
if you think that covering yourself in bacon grease and doing jump-rope nude will ward away evil spirits, that's your chaotic magic
(even I"M not sure about this one, some guy posted it in my forum question)

Khalida Nyoka From that large rar file, I have thus far read only the combat magick article... absolutely fascinating~! I glanced at that, havn't looked into anything in the rar I uploaded yet lol. Just stuff I found in bulk a while ago that I havn't fully gone through XD

Laren Please, what is this "combat magic" of which you speak? It gives two examples, one being from Red Magick, and the other being Black. It is all a part of chaos magick, the techniques/rituals, and it seemed very interesting. It briefly describes the "chaos bolt," and said that it was as close to shooting lightning from your hands as you would get in the physical world. the purpose of the red "bolt" is just a simple curse style attack, directed towards an individual or group. The black ritual, is one to bring about self destructive behavior... so really, you don't "kill" them, they do it themselves. It relies on things bordering voodoo. If you can, download the files from the link that was posted on page one. Very interesting things.

Ok, so this is what I learned so far, but, whatever I havent learn I can make up myself.
Chaos magic is everything and nothing. It is a meta-theory through magic. One uses whatever one wants, any technique, idea, or belief system, in order to create the desired change. The only thing that matters is results. Chaos magicians can pick and choose from any other traditions, or invoke gods of any pantheon, real or fake, Greek or Lovecraftian. Or they could make one up themselves. No internal consistency? No problem.
I'm having a lot of fun with this.

Shouldn't one be able to use Chaos to give themselves greater understanding? I'm going to try and say this with some sense, but I'm not sure I'll manage... If a novice/beginner were to make a ritual of some sort designed to be able to perform more adnavced techniques, through making themselves temporarily more powerful (via a mantra or sigil), and then repeat the process (likely highly time consuming), they would be at the level of a master... and from there it would just be a matter of imagination as the limitation.
