Berial's eyes seemed to light up at the sight of the stars. His marks slowing until it came to a stop and a smile creased his features. "I love the stars.." He stated, the fear gone as he looked upwards at them.. He was smiling full out by now. He preffered nightime before dyatime becasue of the stars..
Erik nodded, taking th caw as a sign of assent. "I. thank you.." He murmured, getting u from his kneeled possition adn starting outwards.. He couldn't go back to hsi notes now, not after that display.

Reiha smiled, "I love the stars too" she told him happily, "I think they are so beautiful. I like to think that everyone has their own personal star" she admited to berial, finding a nice spot where they could see most of the sky and sat down, her hand still wraped around his. "And that star watches you and knows your entire story. And when you die you go to your star and become a star as well and watch a new story"
Korbin flapped out and moved up to the roof. From the roof he could watch the kids, and when they went inside he would go out hunting. He was pretty hungry but he had to make sure Reiha was safe before he left and she was safest when she was in the house.

Berial sat down enxt to her, craning his neck upwards again.. The mark shifted in the darkness and his grip tightened on her hand slightly.. "do you think our stars know.. what happened before the train?" He said, his eyes scanning the skies for his star, not that he was sure what it looked like.
Erik stood i the doorway.. He could barely make out the two shapes in the darkness, but he knew they were there.. Sighing he pushed his glasses up his nose a bit befoe continuing to watch in silence.. His work could wait.

"They have too" She arused him, as his grip tightened, "That's their job" She looked over at him, titling her ehad to the side as she watched him. She moved a bit forward, to give him more comfort. "But the past doesn't matter" she said quickly. "it's tomorrow that's important. Tomorrow and today. yesterday is already gone" she murrmered, watching the sky. "So why worry about what you can't control?"
Korbin watched the pair carefully. He tilted his head to the side as he flaped down to Reiha's head, to watch Berial's arm. "It's moving!" he swaked back to Erik. Normally Korbin wouldn't care so much about human wants but when smeone cares so much about Reiha then Korbin tends to care more. Afterall Reiha cared back. If Berial worshiped Reiha but Reiha didn't care back then Korbin wouldn't care ether. Because Berial couldn't hurt Reiha then.

He sat in silence for a while, looking up at the stars, before his gaze dropped at the mark shifting on his arm. "I guess.." He said simply.. Reiha knew beter after all, but he lifted his marked arm onto his lap, watching it pulse.. It did this sometimes...
Erik ehard the squack and his feet immediatly started moving towards them. He arrived quickly, and tried to make out thier expressions in the darkness.. He couldn't.. "I.. mind if I join you?" He asked softly, squinting through his glasses to try to catch his expression.. He'd been scoring hsi books, to no aail.. if he only kenw what that mark was..

Reiha glanced up at Erik, her eyes gleaming with the little light it could catch. She, over the years of her past life, had made her eyes work in the dark till they could see. As conquence of that in this life she had exclent night vision. Nothing unhuman but good for her species. "Of course Erik. I was just telling Berial about the stars. What I think of it." Reiha glanced down, her free hand moving over to rub the mark, as if to tell it to be still and leave Berial free. She then smiled at her friend before turnign to the stars. "But we came here to see pictures Berial, don't forget. All the stars make pictures"
Korbin shifted slightly as his stomache rumbled, he wasn't sure if he should leave or not. Erik WAS here but he seemed so weak and pathetic. Korbin couldn't trust Erik at all. No it was better if he stayed, even if Reiha was spending more attention on the boy than him. Which wasn't right. Korbin was her BEST friend. That means he should be first.

Erik sat down by them, his eyes going skywards.. The stars he could see. "They're called constellations.." He said softly.. "The pictures.." He said.. Looking up at the sky he searched for a moment before realized that any Terran constalations probably couldn't be seen from here..
Berial's mark calmed with the combines influence of Erik's precense and Reiha's comforting rubbing.. It seemed to follow her wishes, growing still after only a few seconds as his eyes went skywards.. His face was impassive for a moment before his face broke out into a large grin. "I see a fish!" He exclaimed, pointing to a direction in the sky where in his mind,t he dots conected to form a fish.

"I know" Reiha said in a way that all smart aleics take when adults try to teach them something they already know. "I'm not talking about those. I'm talking about ones you make up yourself" She then turned to the sky again, watching it, turning around to see Berial pointed. She looked up and smiled, "I see the fish!"
Oh great fish...Korbin loved fish and he rarely got any. Now he was craving fish. Oh great. He shifted on REiha's head, growing darker and darker, as he wanted some food, or attention. But Reiha was ignoring him and he couldn't hardly leave her alone in the dark with weaklings.

Erik looked upwards.. He didn't see a fish.. He'd never been good at cloduwatching or imagining or things like that.. He worked well with facts.. Looking over at them, he frowned, growing a bit exhasperated with the fact that he couldn't really see them.. "I'll be right back." He said, getting up and brushing grass from his pants, before striding into the house.
Berial was beaming now. She saw it too. Glancing around he pointed to another area of the sky. "That looks like Korbin." He said, drawign an imaginary circle over a large clump of star he found resemblled a bird.

Reiha looked over and smiled, she reached up to grab Korbin with one of her hands. "Look Korbin!" she pointed out happily, "It's you, you must of done something great before you came to me to get a whole group of stars. You must of had lots of stories. Maybe Korbin is my star" Reiha murrmered, looking down at Korbin, "Come down to protect me"
Now THIS was more like it. He fluffed his feather happily as the conversation turned to him. When Reiha started to talk about him as a star he smiled (sort of). In a way he was. He was her protecting star and he would always be there to watch him. Day or night.

Berial grinned and nodded. "Maybe.." He said looking back upwards.. "I think my star's still up there though.." He said, pointing into the general upwardsness of the sky.
Erik made his return quicly, hsi palms filled with small see throught crystals. Taking his seat again, he smiled a bit, before placing them on the floor. "Elea ie' dome.." He spoke his hand over the bunch of crystals and they lit up, sending a soft blueish glow onto the grass. He smiled, now bale to see much more clearly. "I uh... thought we might need a bit of a light.. it can get really dark out here.." He said, looking over, relieved to see Berial smiling.

"Well maybe some day it will come down" she told him, reaching over to stroke his hair back. "And then you can know what ever you want" Reiha looked down at Krobin. She knew he knew about her past. She could geuss after that freak out she had a few days ago but he wouldn't tell her. Then again he said it was because seh wouldn't like to know. So maybe Berial's star wouldn't say ether, if it was sad. Reiha hoped it wasn't sad. Berial didn't deserve sad.
Reiha glanced up when Erik returned and smiled. "Oh neat!" she said excited as he preformed the minor magic. "How did you do that? Can you use any rocks and make them glow? Or are they special rocks? Will you teach me how to do that?" she asked her questions quickly, wanting to know and know quickly. The stars were forgoten in the quest for more knowlege.

Berial's smile faltered for a moment. Did he want to know? "Maybe.." He said simply, bot sure of his own answer. Lookign down at the crystals he grinned at Reiha's exitement, but he'd had the crystals explained to him before. His gaze traveled upwards again.
Erik smiled broadly at her questions.. "They're special crystals that react to specific words.. I made them myself.." He said, a hint of pride inching into hsi voice.. It ahd taken months of alchemical reasearch. "some of the spells are complicated, and the crystals are dangerous if you mispronounce but.." He trailed off, looking over at Reiha. Her eagerness had thrilled him. Picking up a crystal, he held it out to her. "I can teach you the basic lighting spell if you want.."

The nice thing about what Reiha said was that he could know what ever he wanted know. If that was nothing, then he would continue to know nothing. The sad part if you don't know how much you want to know till you know what exactly it is you don't know. As long as you don't know then you don't know if you want to know or not.
But Reiha was looking up at Erik. "Oh yes please!" she grabed his arm, reaching up to grab the crystal. "Yeah I want to be able to do magic. I think if I do enough magic I can find a way to fly. Don't you think? Shouldn't magic make me fly?"

"It could, but.. magic isn't easy if you don't have a set talent for it, not hat I'm sayign you don't.." He aid,quickly.. trying to find a way to explain it.. "I mena.. people like me.. I have to rely on the crystals to cast magic, I can;t realy do much without them and flight.. flight takes a lot of magic.. and.." He trailed off.. He didn;t want to dash her hoped, but he didn't want to lie to her either. "but I geuss if you do enough magic, yes.. you could fly.." He said..
Berial hadn't torn hsi eyes frm the stars as he listened to them talk. "She will fly..." He said, surely.
Erik turned to his charge in slight shock, before smiling.. He had a lot of faith in her.. He turned back to Reiha.. "First I'm going to teach you how to turn it off.." He said. "You have to will it, want it.. That's the first step.. The words won't do anything. AFter you've focused.. yo say the word.. 'kshonna" The word rolled of his toung with praciced ease.. It wa s imple spell, only serving to turn the gem off once lit, so a mispronouncing should prove too dangerous.
