As Mozenrath approached the scene, he watched as a two legger flew past him and skidded into a group of barrels. Huh, well then...what was all this commotion about anyway? Turning his head, he spotted Yei not too far away and trotted up to her, but kept a bit of distance, just incase. Couldn't be too safe then sorry, could you?
His tail flicked back and forth idelly for a moment before it rested against his hinde legs. "So....seems you've got everything under control. What exactly happened? If you don't mind me asking?" Curiosity gnawed at the back of his mind.
Watching the two leggers out of the corner of his eye, he wondered if they were going to try anything else. It seemed Yei had given them more than they had anticipated.

"WELL!" Yei huffed, her nostrils flaring and her voice a higher pitch than normal as she tried to contain her rage. The mere idea of what they were attempting to do to her was appalling and she was beyond angry at this point in time, if she had claws she would have mauled them - just like they would have tried to maul her!
"They tried to tie me up!" She snapped and gave another snort, exchanging her weight from foot to foot in an only indication that she was stll somewhat skittish over the whole thing, "With their ropes and their stones that shone like the sun!" She continued, motioning towards the blade that was lying a distance away from her and well out of reach of the somewhat dazed humans.
"I told you these pale-faces were bad news!" She chirped.

Takeing a few steps towards Yei, he raised an eyebrow. "If they were such bad news then why did you come here if you knew there was danger in doing so?" He flicked his tail side to side thoughtfully. It was interesting, some Soquili knew the dangers of going to one place or interacting with some things and yet they still would run head on into whatever it was that was so dangerous. Or atleast to them in their minds, anyway.
Shakeing his head, he got closer to Yei, to where he was standing by her side. His black eyes looking at the two leggers who were still grounded. "Want to leave now, then? All I have to do is get rid of this kid and we're gone...."

"There is no point in delcaring them bad news without proving it first." Yei snorted, her tone somewhat haughty as she began to move away. Sometimes, she was a little too stubborn for her own good and she was hardly going to admit that his idea to leave was a good idea. Even so, she did remind herself that perhaps he wasn't quite as ditzy as she had suspected, having been around a number of stallions with these odd clothes on, she couldn't be so sure.
"So where else would you like to go?" She enquired at last, pursing her lips briefly as she considered the other locations she could take him, the beach and the graveyard had been seen so there was...
"The forests, the mountains or the village?"

He sighed quietly and rolled his eyes a bit as she turned away. But not long after he trotted a bit to catch up with her. Walking near her side, he looked at her out of the corner of his eye. "I'd like to stay away from the village for right now. Perhaps the mountains? I've seen much of the forest while I wandered so there really isn't much mystery there I'm afraid."
That was true. He had spent most of his time wandering the forests. Only to find out nothing more than it was a good place for hideing in the dark. And probably one of the most boreing places he could ever encounter. Sure, if you wanted to be alone all the time that's where you could of gone, but for someone who's trying to muscle their way into the Soquili society....that's not really a place you want to be.

"Of course." Yei nodded in confirmation as the clothed stallion spoke. The mere mention of the slops relaxed her muscles considerably and with a small smile she turned her attention to the path ahead. Now things were about to get interesting, there was scarcely a place on these slopes that she didn't know about. In fact, she could probably give him a guided tour of every inch but that would bore him to death.
Instead, she would choose the prettiest places. She doubted he was romantic at heart but all in all, she knew that all males appreciated the tour of some of the pretty spots when they wanted to uh...how could she put it...win over a mare? She shook her head, she'd never been courted like that but she could appreciate that males all had their own individual tastes and eventually her own stallion would come - for now, she would just be a tour guide!
"I find the forests quite pleasant during the summer, there are some pretty groves inside but the mountains are my home and therefore what I love most." She began at last, motioning towards the forest trail that was beginning to come in to view.
"It's also where you can see the most beautiful sights, where the most magic happens..."

He trotted along, next to her as they started along the path. Good, looks like she had calmed down now with the prospect of heading into the mountains. Well, since they were her home of course she'd feel the most comfortable there and now they would be far from the two leggers. Though he wasn't all that sure why Yei had gone into that place anyway. Especially knowing what he knew now.
His attention was caught back into the world of now as she spoke again. "The forests are nice if you know where to go. As are the mountains if you had an experianced guide to take you along the mountain trails." As she mentioned magic, his ears perked slightly. "Magic? What kind of magic?"

So he liked magic did he?
Yei placed a secretive smile on her lips as she continued to move up the slopes. Her head leant forwards slightly as she maintained her balance and with a small sigh, she fixed her gaze on the route ahead. It was easier to start from the top and to work her way down again she was going to take him directly to a meadow upon one of the flatter regions of the mountains.
Granted, most of the flowers would be gone now but some of the winter survivors would still be in bloom. He would at least get to appreciate the view of the Kawani lands from this sheer height anyway.
"The spirits, every season they descend form the heavens to touch the mountains." She explained, motioning towards the dull grey sky as her smile grew. She came to a halt as she proceeded with her explanation.
"As soon as they touch those mountains, the season changes...Flowers bloom, creatures wake up - everything."

Mozenrath nodded his head as she spoke. Spirits descended from the heavens and touched the mountains to change the seaons? What immense power they must have! If he could find a way.....but how?
He followed close to her. If he kept to his own thoughts for too long he might get separated from her and then probably never find his way out of here. "Interesting. And you say they do this change to the land every year?"

"Well, that's what it looks like." Yei gave a very lose shrug as she came over another ridge and glanced towards him inquisitively. Despite the eerie feeling he gave her, he seemed rather nice and approachable - an individual who really took an interest in the Kawani way of life, or at least someone who wanted to try and understand it.
"It happens every year, sometimes if I have the right timing I can see a burst of light before it happens...and then slowly things start to change. It's such a pretty time of year, I love it." She sighed, her eyes developing a warm glow to emphasise how much she really enjoyed that time of year, it was a shame it was over.
"Of course, even the spirits need to rest...that's why we have winter!" She informed him dutifully and released a small chuckle. A small sigh, a whicker later and at last she came over yet another ridge and was face by plateau upon the mountains. Here, the grass reached her shoulders and yet, despite the snow sprinkled delicately across the hardy strands there will still hints of colour hidden within the flowers that still insisted on blooming at this time of year.
"During summer, this place is a magical garden...so beautiful and very few know of it."

He nodded his head a few more times as she spoke. A spark of light? Hmmm, he might have to go to the top of the mountains and scope it out himself. He wanted to see what this light was that initiated these changes in the seasons. Never having heard of such a thing, he muddled over it in his mind for a moment.
As they reached the ridge, Mozenrath leaned over slightly to get a better look at the plateau in front of them. It amazed him a bit that there was still grass growing here. As well as some flowers. In most other places these things died quickly, slept until it was time to grow again in spring time.
"It must be quite magical. It's amazing how this grass has survived and that those flowers are still trying to bloom even in the dead of winter." His gaze moved across the plateau. "I'm surprised not many know about this place. I would figure stallions would bring mares here to woo them during the spring or summer when everything was lush and blooming." Though the thought of such things lingered shortly in the stallions minds. He knew perhaps one day he might end up being that kind of stallion. If the right mare came along, but that might never happen. But still, this place seemed to hold an air of magic in it. He would remember this place, just in case. And for the fact that it seemed so magical.

Yei nodded, Mozen was correct in his assumption and she herself had once thought along those lines. There's was just one factor that he had forgotten and one that she had too when she was younger and that was that very few ever came this far up the mountain the first place. To most, the lands were too treacherous, the footing to unsteady and as a matter of preservation it was better to stay on flat ground.
"In a few weeks the grass will be completely submerged and the flowers will disappear until Spring." She offered a small smile and nodded towards the plateau fondly, "The mountains will be rather void of life until that time, most tend to move down the slopes until summer because of the dangers that lurk up here." She explained.
"A shame really, some of the sights you can see up here during winter are beautiful...like the icicles hanging from the cave entrances - they even sing!"
