His eyes darted a quick glance to her stomach, and then he turned his head to the side, with shifty eyes. "Noticed what?.." He looked again. Ugh! He surely wasn't being sly about noticing, nor was he convincing that he hadn't. He drew in a deep breath and held it. She would be fine by tomorow if he could just pretend he didn't notice. Then he wouldn't have to admit she was round in the middle..

Chu'mana gave a sheepish grin as she moved closer, nudging the side of his face with her muzzle. A small chuckle escaped from her mouth as he replied. "That I've put on a few pounds. It could mean only one thing really." A flick of her curly tail and she lowered herself to the ground gently. The weight of her stomach was getting to be a bit tiresome.

He watched her slow decent to the ground. It could only mean one thing.. what, that she ate a horse? A blank look came across his face as his brain began to process that thought. ..ate a horse.. Suddenly it clicked.. He bounced to his feet with a shocking stare on his face. He looked crazy. He leaned in and gleamed into her eyes for a moment before a huge clown-like grin cracked on his face. He still hadn't blinked.

The sudden jump to his feet startled her momentarily. Had it just now set in as to what she was getting at? As she relaxed after her small start, she smiled at his large grin. "We're going to be parents, Hok'ee." Her voice was soft for the moment. Small movements from inside her belly made her feel akward but she just brushed it off. It was her first time having foals, so it just seemed to her that it was a normal feeling that everyone had.

Hok'ee let out a deep "Ha!". Do you know what this means? He said with the utmost, hardly contained excitement. "It means.. there's going to be an army of Hok'ee's marching around this place!" he picked up his feet and began to step in the highest prance possible. "Look out world and prepare for the greatest foals this land has ever seen!" He turned back to Chu'mana and then stopped. Had he still not blinked?

Letting out a small giggle, she turned her head slightly to give her mate a curious look. "An army of Hok'ees huh?" She giggled some more and shook her head. He was definatly excited about the whole prospect of the soon to be foals. That was good. "Perhaps you should wait until they are born and able to walk around right before you make them march."

"Those are going to be some of the best darn looking foals, you just wait." He said with two hops on all fours. He looked like a bounding four legged rabbit. He sombered up when he realized she was right, he needed to wait until the foals were born. What's more, he needed to take care of Chu. He took some proud, high steps over to her then gave her a soft, but strong nuzzle to her neck. "I will be here for you and our soon to be foals. Anything at all that you need, you let me know."

"I'm sure they will be." Her curly tail flicked across the grass lazily. As he nuzzled her, she nuzzled back. Letting out a small sigh as she buried her muzzle into his mane. She closed her eyes for a moment before leaning back and looking up at him. "Now, don't go running yourself ragged trying to take care of me and the foals. You need to make sure you take care of yourself to."

Hok'ee laid down gently beside her, as she burried into his mane. He felt he could melt at any moment. He wasn't the least bit nervous about the whole idea of young Hok'ee's. "Don't you worry about me, I'll be just fine. How about you? Are you okay? You know, about having foals? I will protect you no matter what." He looked at her with a concerning look of love on his face. He wanted to know that she felt safe and in control.

She let out another soft laugh as the concerned look came to his face. Nuzzling his cheek, she nodded her head. "I'm just fine. It's a bit of a strange feeling, but I think it's just because it's the first time and should be normal the way I feel anyway." Chu'mana slipped her head underneath his chin and closed her eyes half way. "I know you will, Hok'ee."

Hok'ee couldn't be more happy with what life had dealt him. Here he was lost just a couple of days ago, now he had found his love, and found the promise of a family. His beautiful mate was more than he could ask for. Now, masterpieces that would show their beaty together were growing inside of Chu's belly. How odd and totally wonderful that must seem to her. He sniffed her hair as she pulled under his chin. "You smell like a perfect mother." He said with certainty.

By now her eyes were fully closed as she listened to the sound of his heart beat. Her curly tail flicked across the grass lazily as she enjoyed this moment of them just being together, her and her love. But soon there would be more to their little family and a lot more to be aware of. At his comment she giggled lightly. "You can tell that just by smelling me?"

"Well, I can. Your fresh scent is telling of great things." He was getting tired, which was obvious by his idle chat. How long had they been laying in this field without rest? He yawned and then closed his eyes. He intended on resting with his head up. He was asleep shortly and dreamt a great dream. In his dream there was a small army of foals that were strickingly handsome, like their father. They were all prancing in a high step, to the beat of their father's high prance. Magnificent creatures of grace. He had a proud stance to his head, even in his sleep, as he dreamt of their kids.

((I suppose I'll move it along this time XD;; ))
After a few days had past, Chu'mana was in a deep sleep next to her mate. Dreaming happy dreams. But suddenly she woke with a jolt. Her stomach felt like it was rolling, and that meant only one thing. With her heart fluttering, she quietly moved away from Hok'ee and stood up. She didn't want to wake him as he seemed to be pretty tired from taking care of her. Without a word, she wandered into the cover of the nearby forest.

Woke after his side went cold. He glanced about and saw his beautiful mate wasn't to be found. He got worried and rose to his feet in a quick shuffle. He began to rush about the place in search of her and still couldn't find her. Panic set in before his senses did. He could have just followed her scent.. Suddenly his ears tuned in to noises in the distant trees. He rushed over to investigate, his feet couldn't carry him quick enough.
