Chibi_Naru-chan [Akatsuki.Brat] On a Side Note, wouldn't it be boring if everything turned out the way everyone predicted it? One of these rumors has bound to be right... Kishimoto has to change things up a bit. Because if he doesn't, then it will turn into one of those 'Oh-So-Predictiable' series. That's what I'm afraid of. eek Kishimoto has a way of twisting things and making them into stuff you'd least expect. crying I don't want Yondy to be the Akatsuki leader! I'd be sad. I mean, if he is, he is. But I just don't FEEL that he is. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Why would he sacrifice his own life to seal Kyuubi, only to completely turn his back on everyone, gather up all the Jinchurikii (including Naruto, which makes even less sense if the daddy theory is correct) and extract the demons? It just seems... off.
Unless something very odd happened to him after Kyuubi's sealing, maybe?
I'm not trying to sound argumentative, it's just my opinion. I haven't seen this topic in awhile, so sorry if someone already launched a rant opposing this. XD
But Im with you on the whole Yondaime Hokage thing. I dont believe he was the leader of the Akatsuki. Only the most sinister of people are like that. Plus, this man is as evil as they come. I mean, he wants total world war and he is the puppet master.
Thats why I believe its the Madara Uchiha theor. Not much is known about him. He has been shrowded in mystery this entire series since he was first brough up from Kyuubi. And Sasuke had no clue. Why? Because why would the Uchiha's who probably had to work for a good rep because their bloodline is a horrible one, want people to know about a man that was as evil as they come. To be honest they wouldnt.
And that is exactly the type of man he is.
I think Im going to open a thread strictly about the unknown identity's of the people in the Akatsuki and in Naruto.
Because this always seems to come up.

Sounds like a good idea, actually.
Hey, for all we know, it could be some guy we have yet to hear of. But, I doubt it. I'm leaning more towards the Madara theory. We know nothing of him, so he's a complete mystery, as is the Akatsuki leader.

--The Trusty Sidekick-- There is no evidence that Yondaime is dead. They MAY have just said that for he may have left Konoha. Its never been proven. I agree. My theory is that his body died, but his spirit is forced to roam the earth. I'm still working on the whole "How'd he become evil, then?" concept, but I'm getting there.
Edit: I got it!!! Yondaime was ashmed and fled. The Akatsuki "roped" him in, and used his hatered of his "condtion" as fuel and made him hate everything!! *pats herself on the head and feels smart!*

The King of Shouji is what he was referring too and the "King" is the future children of the shinobi world. It has nothing to do with the Akatsuki.
New Theory. Madara needed a new body you see, and Orochimaru was part of the akatsuki. Orochimaru thinking Madara would favor him tought him how to do it, but with in all reality Madara used Orochimaru. Madara and Kyuubi has some sort of alliance together, each vowing to never use each other's power, but Madara seeked out Yondiame-Hokage, telling him he'll let his son, naruto, live forever if Yondiame sealed the Kyuubi, somehow Madara and Kyuubi had a big despute and Kyuubi and Madara became ricals, wihtin Naruto. In return Yondiame had to give his body to Madara, which he did.
Well what do you think of that?

I'm not really going for any theory right now, as both sides have a pretty good argument towards the other.
Trusty has a point... the Akatuski Leader has to be someone really evil. But the thing I've been getting myself into lately is he was someone with pure intentions, turned towards the path of evil. Like, something corrupted his mind.
I do highly doubt it is Yondaime though. Unless he lost his memory, got amnesia, and started an evil exile group. Other than that, I really don't know.

I really didn't think it was Yondaime, because I didn't think he would abandon the entire village like that. My only guess is that if he has anything to do with Akatsuki, it's against his will. He risked his life to save the village, so it just doesn't seem right to me that he would just up and leave.
Baaaah, I'm just gonna wait until they finally say! gonk

When sacrifcing his soul to him Uchiha Madara who has had supposedly more evil chakra then Kyuubi, could have excaped and took over Yondaime-hokage's body...Amazing how fast my mind works. O.O I read that part too and thought the same thing. But seriously, authors don't usually cater to the obsessive whims of the fans. They'll do stuff to make us scream and cuss and all that to make us want more, and more, and more. Even if someone says they hate Kishimoto for some of the stuff he wrote/drew, in all likelyhood they are still following the story. I think it isn't going to be a new character, but it will be someone no one will expect.

maile_no_keki_chan Okay, so I think that when Asuma was talking to Shikamaru about why the Akatsuki dudes killed him he was trying to say that they killed him because he knew the identity of the Akatsuki leader.
So, that means that he must have met him before, so that pretty much limits it ti all missing nin in Kohona except Orochimaru and Sasuke because everybody knows that they wouldn't have anything to do with Akatsuki...
So, from all of the theorys taht I've heard about missing Kohona nin being th eAkatsuki leader, that limits it down to that Uchiha Madulo (or whatever it is) -- the first one with the Mangekyo Sharingan. AND the Yondaime Hokage...
So, this kinda pretty much proves that it's one of those two who could be the Akatsuki leader!
I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't introduce a new character for a role as important as that, and knowing Kishi, it'll problably be a big plot twist, seeing as it seems that that's what he;s leading us up to.
Unfortunately -- All of the logic points to that Uchiha dude, but seeing as we've seen the Akatsuki leader's profile and eyes -- the apperance points to it being Yondaime unless they look really similar...
So -- what do you all think? This is really confusing my brain... a lot.

After reading the chapter a second time, not in hysterics, I noticed that Asuka told Shikamaru who the "King" was... Sooo... now Shika knows... Damnit, why won't they just tell us?!
Q&A Interesting theory. Whether it is wrong or right, I don't know, but it's definately got me thinking more about the Akatsuki head'man'.
