Tickle Toe Bob I'm lucky. Most of the trombones are girls in my grade! My 3 friends and I all play trombone( and all girls too). There are twoboy trombones, but they are both weird eek . ur luckey i am with two boys on the trombone

I'm in two bands, one of which I play flute with about ten other girls, and the other of which I'm the only girl in the whole brass section. (I play trumpet). I love my flute section, but I have to admit it IS very different in the brass section - it's a lot easier to talk lol (woot back row), and the guys are definately more strange, so it's entertaining.

Out of our 10 trumpets there are 3 girls. Me being one of them. There's 6 trumpet players in Wind Ensemble (1st band). Me being 1st chair, and another girl being 5th chair. Symphonic Band (2nd band) has 4 trumpet players, the 3rd girl being 4th chair...
Full Orchestra I'm 1st chair, and another girl is 4th chair out of the 5 of us.
Jazz Band I'm 2nd chair and she's 4th chair out of the same 5 people from full orch....
I would've loved to have been lead trumpet for Jazz Band...but I'm not much of a high note person. I'm working on it though...

Out of eleven Trumpets, we have three girls this year (one of which is a freshmen)! It's a nice change of pace from the two (myself and another girl, who I've been playing in band with for all seven of my years) that have been there since the girl before us stopped playing two years ago. (In Jazz band, though, I'm the only female in the trumpet section, out of eight...And there are only five girls in the entire jazz band, including myself. Two play Alto Sax, one plays keyboard, and the other plays guitar.)
All of the girls seem to want to play Flute or Clarinet. >.> Aside from the three female Trumpets, we just have one girl playing French Horn. Everone else is a woodwind.
It's kinda neat being the oldest (grade-wise) in the trumpet section, though. ninja The girl I've played with and I are both juniors, and everyone else is either a sophmore or a freshmen.
The rest of the trumpet section likes to do the wave when they think the band director isn't looking...

I would never give up playing the trumpet for another instrument.
I just love my section so much! It always feels like the trumpets just get to have so much more fun than any of the other sections. razz At least its that way in all of the groups I've ever been in.
If I were to switch, it would be to trombone or french horn. smile But oh how I love my section.

During marching season i play trumpet. There are about 7 guys now and about 6 girls. It keeps changingbecause of people ditching or graduating so yea. The guys are more fun though.
In jazz band I play the baritone. There are only four of us in the trombone section. Three girls and one guy. A shy freshman, shy sophmore, annoying evil junior and me, fun outgoing sophmore. lol
During concert season i play flute. Theres one guy in the section but its okay.

No offense (especially since I am one...), but girls seem to talk a lot more than guys (at least the ones in our band), and even if there are guys that talk a lot, they talk about more interesting stuff. I don't think I could stand playing the flute, or being surrounded by a bunch of the girls in our band (aside from a select few).
Of course, I get a bit of a reprieve from being surrounded by guys, since one of the people I sit next to is a girl. We do talk during class, but not a lot, and we know when to shush.
I can still be myself around anyone, though, especially if I know them.

I couldn't stand being a flute, being in a girl dominated section just isn't as exciting as the trumpet section.
Me and the other girl in our section actually have advantage because the older guys protect us, always have our back and etc.

I play TUBA ^_^we have 4 tubas and im the only girl. im in concert band.
we have i girl trumpet player out of 12.We have a lot baratones. 3 french hornes. 5 flutes.,10 clarnets,7 percussonists, Well i dont no what im forgetting. question
AND THIS IS HALF OM MY BEGGINNING BAND
