Koori's eyes grew wide as she stared up at the crazy looking man before her, hands still plastered to her face. She to a step back, recoiling from his hand, until the felt the hard tree trunk pressing into her back. She slid down the trunk and slumped into the snow, shaking her head furiously, as if she could make him go away by doing so. Oh how she wished she was in her dorm right now, away from this sadistic looking man. No crazies or monsters to get her. Well, except for Glissa.
"No, no, no, no, no..." You could barely make out what she was saying though her hands. Drops of blood fell from the man's hands and landed on Koori's leg. She let out a shriek, and there was a blinding flash of light radiating from where she sat.

Yuki raised an elegant eyebrow at the woman sliding back, and approached slyly. One of his fangs rested over his lower lip, and he returned the bloody hand to his side. "Now, now, love~ I gave you the choice..." He said to the cowering figure before him. "But," Yuki paused, shrugging off his already too-loose cloak. It fell into a neat fold on the ground, making hardly any noise as it landed. "Since you seem to want to get awa..."
She shrieked, and the light flashed brilliantly around them, dazing him. The sheer shock let his more rational mind take over, and he fell to his knees, clutching his head. "Ugh..." Yuki moaned, this time in a painful way that vaguely resembled a hangover moan. He shakily lowered his hands to inspect them, and his newly darker eyes widened. What was he doing before...? He was in the hospital, and then...? His mind drew a blank.
A woman flashed across his mind. She squeaked...and the cowering...bloody snow...
"Oh, Oh, Lord, no. Please. I didn't mean to..." He whimpered quietly. Oh, this had been a bad idea. A very bad idea. And, as bad as killing that poor woman was, the idea of what Glissa would do to him once she found out made him wish he were already dead.
...well, deader, anyway.

After the flash, Koori spun around and in sheer panic tried clawing her way through the tree, but of course, to no avail. She was hoping her little spell would have sent him away, since most creatures of the night aren't exactly fond of bright things. But when she heard him muttering to himself, she stopped squirming and chanced a peak. He was kneeling in the snow staring blankly at his hands, which were still covered in blood. Chills ran down Koori's spine, and she hurriedly stood up and spun around to cower on the other side of the tree. It didn't seem like he was after her any more. At least for now.

After what seemed to be hours, (but was really only a minute or so), he couldn't bear to look at his hands any longer. Somewhere, seemingly miles away, the pale, bloody boy heard someone scuttle to hide behind something, but it didn't register that it was only a foot or so away. He slowly, numbly, rose to stand. His legs were shaking badly - he hadn't actually killed anyone in two decades, so the entire concept seemed completely foreign and gastly to him. His knees gave way and he crashed to the ground with a loud thud.
"Oh, why bother." He muttered loudly, the snow brushing against his skin and seeping into his pants. He extended his pale arms onto the ground, making his body somewhat resemble a uneven crucifix. It was somewhat fitting, though entirely unintentional. "Glissa's going to kill me when she finds out what I did. Might as well just lay here and wait."

When Koori heard what the man said, she poked her head around the tree to look at him. 'He knows Glissa?' she thought to herself. She almost laughed when she saw him sprawled out in the snow. Carefully, she tip toed back over to him and neeled down.
"Um... Excuse me... But... I uh... I don't think Glissa is going to be killing you..." Her voice was trembling. Her mind kept playing out a scene of her getting jumped and torn to shreds. She shook her head again. He couldn't be that bad if he was afraid of Glissa.

Yuki blinked, confused, as a woman's face came into view. Hadn't he...?
"Uhm. Hello." He said, blinking at her. "...you're not as dead as I thought you were." He sat up and eyed her over. She didn't appear to be injured at all, which was definitely a good thing, though she did appear to be shaken up. Understandable, given the circumstances. And now Glissa wouldn't kill him! Oh, things were definitely shaping up for the better!
"I'm terribly sorry about that...you startled me, and...well," He cringed sheepishly. "It wasn't the best idea to do that..." Realizing his manners - even if the situation really didn't call for it at this point - Yuki shifted his weight to one side and wiped his now free hand off on his pants as best he could, (which, admittedly, was just as dirty afterward, but he tried, and that's what counts), before extending it out pleasantly. "I know it's a bit late to make a good first impression, but...you won't mind if I try, will you?" He smiled, making sure to keep his fangs inside his mouth.

"No... Not at all..." she mewed sheepishly. As he stood up, Koori did too, but only to shuffle back a few more feet. She olmost cringed away from his hand as he extended it, but not so much because she was afraid. His hand was still smeared with semi-dried blood despite the attempt at being wiped clean. She could tell he was trying to be polite, so she bit her lip and stuck her hand out for a shake.
"Kiwadoi Koori... Nice to... uh... mee you!" She smiled honestly, despite the fact that her insides were turning upside down. She could feel the wet blood on her fingers and it was making her slightly queazy.

He winced a bit as the blood squished lightly between them. Maybe it would have been better to do a simple, 'Hello! And you are?', instead of making her obviously more uncomfortable than she already was. 'Oh well~' The vampire thought to himself, 'might as well make the most of it.' And it wasn't as though he could turn back time and stop himself from putting the poor mortal throught this whole bothersome event anyway, so making it slightly worse probably didn't matter as much.
"I'm Ketsueki Yuki, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He leaned down and pressed his cold lips to the back of her hand, hoping he wasn't being too forward.

"Plea... sure..." Koori simply blinked as Yuki bent down and kissed her hand. Just a few minutes ago he was dripping in blood and about to shred her to bits. Now, he was being more gentleman-like than that stuck up prince from where ever. Koori tried to run the past couple of minutes through her head once more, to make sure she didn't miss anything, when it hit her.
"Oh NO!" She yelped, pulling her hand away. Immediately she spun around and dropped down to the ground, madly scooping up her papers. They were all soggy now, and quite a lot of them had blood splatered across them. The covers on her books were starting to soak up the melting snow as well, and the distinct smell of wet leather was wafting into the air.
"Oh drat... That was the student's home work..." She sighed, giving up at last.

Yuki bit his lip as Koori went down on the ground, knowing it was his fault that those papers were probably beyond the point of salvation. He sighed to himself, and knelt down. "Is there any way I can help...?" Though, eyeing the decayingly soggy paper, he knew it probably was easier said than done.
"I"m really terribly sorry..." He started, picking up a blood stained paper and brushing it off. "Here, let me get those..." His hands deftly slid the papers together and he arranged them into as neat a stack as possible with damp papers, before handing them to Koori and standing up. The vampire slung his cloak over his shoulders, tying the chain together, and pulled his hair out from underneath the fabric.
"I'd best be off then, before I cause any more trouble..."

Koori kept scooping up soggy papers into a messy pile, and suddenly they were all in a neat stack in her arms.
"Oh... Well... That's help enough! I know a spell that should dry these out just fine! Or... light them into flames... Now that wouldn't be much better..." She furrowed her brow at the thought. She'd rather grade runny papers than ashes any old day. She looked up at what Yuki had said, her train of thought shattered.
"Really? Umm... Do you have a place to stay?" She asked concernedly, surprising her self by doing so.

The vampire chuckled a bit. "No, I don't believe flaming papers wouldn't be any sort of improvement, however amusing it would be." He paused at the following question, though, surprised at how kind a person would have to be to show such concern toward the person that had, albiet unintentionally, tried to kill them. "As for the other, I don't have a place to stay, persay, but I'm perfectly alright waiting outside until morning. I might take a stroll around, and perhaps try and find Glissa." He'd almost forgotten that the whole reason he was here was to speak with her, and, more importantly, ask about that concerning distress he felt emit from her earlier.

Koori chuckled softly at his first reply.
"That's fine! But it brings me back to why she wouldn't be killing you... Glissa's not here at the moment. I heard she went back to the underworld. There was a huge fight the other night that nearly destroyed the battle arena, and I think Glissa was involved. That sort of destruction can only be done by her... But the only reason she would go home is if she was badly injured." She paused at that, not believing what she had just said. There was no way Glissa could have lost to anyone.

Glissa...lost? He furrowed his brow and frowned, knowing that, while entirely possible...was just unfathomable. He felt the anger rise within him, but pushed it down. Not here. "Ah." Was all he could manage to say without growling in anger, which he was sure that Koori wouldn't exactly appreciate. Whoever hurt his dear friend was going to pay for it, sooner or later. Hopefully, for their sake, it would be later.
Regardless, he lacked the powers to go to the underworld, so he was at a loss as to what to actually do now. Yuki chewed on his lip, contemplating his next move. "Well," He started, after calming down - well, calming down enough that he wouldn't scare the poor girl. It was moreso a facade of calm than anything else, really. "Now I am a bit stuck as to where I'm going to be staying. I thought this was going to be a short visit, but apparently I'm going to be here a while..."
(I'm sure we're both glad you feel special~ >P)
