Edward rocks my socks, but I can think of one other character that could challenge him.
ALBUS DUMBLEDORE, he is the most loveable old man in the world, and he comes pretty close to being as good as Edward.

Genius __ Insanity Yeah right. Like we could fine a character better than Edward. Actually, I could get ten people to agree that Jacob Black is better than Edward. Not that I agree, it's just that I know ten people who would agree. Personally, I love them both equally. wink
I think he's ADORABLE! I wanna pinch his cheeks and fry my eggs on him cause he's so hot! In a temperature way. But yeah.
And Edward is hot in the appearance way but ice-cold in the temperature way..yeaa?
PFFT. I don't even know why I'm saying this..
Back to the point.
There is no person/species in reality or in fantasies that could ever be better than Edward Cullen that 10 people will agree to. Never. Ever. Nah-uh. =)

I just got new moon and eclipse, only partway in new moon but I was crying and hating Edward, so right now (were I'm at) Everyone is better than him.
EDIT. But I like him more in Twilight...
