In my high school band, I was an outcast for caring too much. They all thought I was strange. Then I went to college where I am a music major and everyone is as big of a geek as I am. Almost.

We always get picked on, and we're the lowest chairs in our sections.
No one likes us cause' thier from the lighthouse team, which means thier bunch of stuck-up asshat prepsters.
As for dances and s**t of the order, We useally tend to ******** them up for everyone else.
Just our little way of saying "If you don't want us to be a part of this family, We wont be! ASSHATS!!!!"
Cause a band is a family. And we're the black sheep.
Marching band is where its at though.
Even the asshats from school band will blend together with us Blackies there. Hope its the same with consert band, we're bacialy the same cept' we get to ride on a float. My first year without marching, Its gonna be hard...

there's this one girl--clarinet, chelsie-- who nobody talks to and nobody really likes. never gets noticed. don't we al have one of those???

That would be me.
I only have a couple of friends in band, and when they aren't around, I get really shy and never talk. I'm afraid to lossen up, so I never do sectional/band dances and don't cheer. I even bring a book for me to read during football games because I don't want to participate. (My friends play different instruments, and we can only sit with our section.)
People know that I'm a big softee and try to get me loosened up, but I'm too much of a stubborn idiot to do so.

Yea that person just happens to be me. I play Tenor Sax and Bass Clairnet and well i'm the only one that plays those. but I pretty much only talk to the Bass Guitar players but other than that i'm pretty quiet in Band.

Well we have this one sax player (smurf hunter, lol). She doesn't play the right scales, has a lisp, is annoying and down right rude. One day I was talking to my section leader and she thought I was talking to her. I was facing the opposite direction, how does that work? Everyone hates her.

in my school band, most people are friends or have their own cliques. the only ones who are quiet in band are 3 or 4 clarinets. they don't hang out with eachother though. too bad our band isn't as tight as our orchestra seems to be sweatdrop

I am... I don't really hang out with anyone. When I do we don't talk as much as most people, either there playing a video game while walking down the hall or I'm just gah. Kinda weird... I'm a loner outside of band to *laughs*
During marching band I participate and stuff. My BD's always picking on me though lol.We also have a Bassoon player and a euphonium player and... Thats it. Thats for Symphony band
Concert band Once again, I'm the only one. Everyone else is either preppy and OMG HE'S CUTE or... well... all happy. I'm more of a mellow shy quiet person... lol

The only way im a loner is cause im a lone bassoon. However that doesn't matter!my band is real friendly we are a mix of preps, jocks, punks, 'gangstas',nerds, anime freaks,and watever else is left. so i can't truly feel like a loner since everyone is so awesome. But i will say i have gotten picked on by a senior that played bassoon but quit in sixth grade to be a trumpet. that is the other way i felt like a loner cause he's only one out of three people that quit.*sniffle* crying . i have gotten over it though since there is a 7th grader at the juniorhigh that plays the bassoon, and his older brother is my age and in band, so i'll make sure he doesn't quit...muhaha...i just have to wait two more years till he gets to the high school, so UNTIL THEN!!!!

Rawr, I and my friend are loners.
Were the only Bass Clairies.
Were the only ones that complain about our parts.
Only ones that Can't share a stand.
Cant stand each other's notes in our books xD
Story: I highlight my notes that I need reminders on in my music and we wer eplaying and she kept gettign distracted y the Highlighting xD

i talk to some people... but i recently found out that the few people i was starting to think of as friends have some certain qualities that i absolutly hate. so i still talk to them, but whatever friendship was growing just got severed. so yeah, i'm a loner. the only emo/hippie/tree-huger in my entire flute section.
