Yakuti shifted uneasily at first. The god he'd met was special... He really hoped it was all in his head.

"It was pure white all over with huge wings... It's eyes were black and the thing kept trying to be friends with me." He said with a scowl. "Before long, I attacked it, but when I bit into it's wing, it just... Came back, like nothing happened. He told me I needed to learn to control my anger, but I didn't listen, I couldn't hurt it, so I drove it away." He said in a frustrated tone. He hated it when he felt helpless or weak, and that lion sure did a good job of doing both of those to him.

Shira smirked. This sounded interesting. She had never seen any lions with wings before and those that had aggitated her had died so what Yakuti was describing proved that there was something out there that was stronger than the average lion. Perfect time to test her strength, however, now with the pack she had not much times as she may need to wander around seeking a winged one.

Looking down to the blue hyena, she placed a paw on his head.

"Hey, maybe we should go out and find that lion again and kill it. That would be interesting enough. I am sure you'd want to too."

She whispered again. Maybe their plan wasn't for the others to know. Besides, Shira was surely enough for a mere lion, Yakuti's strength with her own can surely take on a nature reject lion.

Bringing herself back to the pack's discussion.

"Surely, a pack of a superior species cannot be having difficulty with a lion who nature has cursed them with wings. If we can take down birds and lions, the way I see it, it is killing two with one hyena. Who knows, that lion group may be harboring one."

THe tawny female's blood was beginning to boil for a good run, however, it was best to get herself settled in first before running off on a killing spree.

Mafa eyes narrowed as she thought, thought of the lion she'd see, thought of the one Yakuti had seen, and thought of her smouldering rage for them both. It seemed she and Yakuti had seen two different gods, which was not a good sign at all. They had no right whatsoever to be on her territory, and she wouldn't stand for it.

At Shira's whispering, and then her outright declaration, Mafa's head jerked in her direction. She was a firey female, Shira'd do this pack good if she could assimilate herself among their ranks well enough.

"Well, then, Shira, why don't you go on and look for that lion. Report your findings to me next we meet."

Mafa rose an eyebrow, as if she was challenging Shira to find this pest and later take it out. Her eyes moved to Ahsante, holding eye contact with him for a few seconds before scanning the rest of the group,

"This goes out to all of you. It seems the lions are on the up-rise. I don't want to see or smell them anywhere near here, it is your job to keep them out and away. You fail at that, it means you've failed your pack, failed ME. And for all you newcomers, my wrath is something you do not want to encounter."

Mafa growled the last part of her sentence, aqua eyes fixing with malintent on everyone of her underlings. Fear was the best way to get what she wanted. The more they feared and respected her, the more she'd be able to have them accomplish. With a final sigh, Mafa turned her body from them, only moving her head to look behind her,

"You are all dismissed, go as you wish, you'll know where to find me."

With that, Mafa jerked her head to face forward and trotted away, not really wanting to look back if anyone had any questions or comments.

Yakuti's ear flicked at Shira, he wasn't sure if he wanted to go hunting for something like that just yet. He wasn't very strong, and last time he couldn't leave a scratch on it.

He shruged, "I guess." He said simply, not bringing up the fact that they were not only winged, but also powerful when it came to healing, it was almost creepy.

Yakuti sure hoped that what Mafa said wasn't entirely true, but he knew it was either way. The lions were getting stronger, and here they were in small numbers. Sure they were superior to them, but sheer numbers could overtake them if they weren't careful. Simply recruiting new members wouldn't be enough, Yakuti didn't know of any couples, so pups seemed out of the question. The pack seemed to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

He nodded his head at Mafa and quickly turned around towards his den. Just then, it hit him. The new members didn't have anywhere to stay. His home was big enough for another, but he wasn't sure if he wanted an extra resident just yet. He wouldn't be able to keep things to himself very well, but if he had to chose one to stay with him, which he hoped that he wouldn't have to, he would want Shira there. She was strong, someone he could look up to.

Regardless, he just swished his tail and continued on his way home, pushing the thought from his mind.
