Mina sighed as she stood erect again and walked to the door leading to the showers. She slipped the key in and looked up at Taiko. "I have no idea. He seems shy." She smiled slightly as she turned the key and opened the door. She tossed the key back to Taiko as she walked over to a bench. The showers were arranged in small sections, four shower nozzels in one open area like a locker room. She kicked off her sneakers and started undressing, her back to Taiko. "I'd like to get to know him but I don't think he'll open up. That and the 'jackass' thinks we bug him so he's gonna keep his eyes on him." She looked back at Taiko over her shoulder and smiled. Mina blinked suddenly. "Hey, why'd ya dump soup on me in the first place?" She frowned cutely as she finished undressing and walked onto the tile, turning on one of the shower nozzels.

She Followed her into the room and leaned herself on the wall by the door. "Yah Unon does that.." Taiko said apathetically. She looked away as Mina started to undress "I DIDNT dump it on you on purpose! i tossed it into the can and some got on you. Not my fault you were in the way"
Unon looked at Adrian and sighed. "Well okay then if youre not hungry at all." He fiddled with his keys trying to find the one to Adrian's cell as he started to walk away. He looked back from all the way across the room to see Adrian still sitting there. "you coming?" He shouted

Mina shrugged as she stepped under the hot water, washing off. She started purring slightly as she closed her eyes and washed her hair out. "Sorry then..." She sighed as she flexed her muscles under the hot water. Her black tail flicked around and Mina started humming to herself as she bathed.

Taiko unconciously rocked her head back and forth to the tune. Her heart started beaing to the rhythm it seemed. As Mina hummed the tune lodged itself in her head and she started humming along to it."That's ni-" She then noticed what she was doing and stopped humming then coughed trying to cover it up that she liked the song. 'Hn' She thought.

Adrian blushed as the guard called to him, and quickly got to his feet. He hadn't actually notice the man starting off..something of great embaressment to him. He didn't mean to be so inobservant, but since he never actually looked at anybody...and he never paid much attention...it was very easy for things like that to happen.
"I...I'm sorry."
He stared at the ground as they walked, now not only having his usual nervousness around people, but his embaressment at making himself seem stupid.

Mina blinked and turned the water off. She looked back at Taiko and smiled widely. "You're not such a hard a**, are you?" She giggled and flicked her tail, shaking the water off. She walked out of the shower area and grabbed a towel from a shelf, wrapping it around herself as she walked over to her clothes. Mina dried off and dropped the towel on the bench as she started dressing. She sighed and picked up the towel again, scrubbing her hair. Her ears twitched and she wrapped her tail around her waist again. Mina looked over at Taiko and smiled, slipping her shoes on.

Unon stopped walking to wait for Adrian. "That's ok..just stop drifting off like that, it could get you in some deep trouble somehow." He wiped his forehead with his hand as they got to the door. "here we are" he smiled and went to search for the key again. After being distracted to call Adrian he forgot that he was looking fo the keys. This time he found it fairly quick though and unlocked the door walking in to turn on the light. "do you need anything that i can get you?"

Adrian shook his head, still staring at the ground, and spoke "No..no, I don't need anything."
He sat on the bed, shivered slightly, and then crossed his arms into a sort of self hug...honestly, he was a bit cold. But he wasn't going to complain - considering he could barely manage brief conversations, he didn't think he could actually ask a guard for anything. Maybe, if he had been absolutely freezing, he could ask, but...not when it wasn't flat out necessary.

"Hmph!" Taiko snorted, then realizing she was looking the girl up and down her backside blushed immediatly red. She turned away quickly as Mina turned towards her forcing the blush down. "b***h" she whispered to no one in particular really, mainly cursing herself but she doubted Mina realized that so she turned her back fully towards the cat trying to make sure she didnt notice anything at all. "Where's the key? this needs to be locked." Taiko gestured at the door. "Dont want any peeping-tom's" She blushed even more to a dark red color but she kept her back towards the girl and kept her voice in control.

Unon cocked an eyebrow. "You look cold" he walked over to Adrian "See? youre shivering" he said pointing out that Adrian's hands were shaking. "Im going to grab you a better blanket." Unon walked out of the cell looking back at Adrian with a smile. He then went to the main laundry room and pulled a cleaned, recently dryed, down blanket out of the dryer. He closed up the dryer and walked back towards Adrian's cell. 'That guy needs to learn how to ask for what he wants' He thought as he went into the room shaking his head. "Here" he walked to Adrian and put the warm blanket over his shoulders.

Mina watched Taiko. "I have the key..." She sighed as she ran her clawed fingers through her hair, brushing it out. "I don't care if anyone looks, there's nothing to see." She walked over to Taiko and the door and blinked. "Oy, you're red? Did I say something to make you mad?" She bit her lip innocently. "If I did, I'm really sorry." She held out the key to Taiko.

Adrian looked up at the guard for a moment, startled by the blanket. It was warm...it felt very nice, actually - but why had he given it to him? He was a guard - why wasn't he acting like the others, who had just ignored him, so far? Or like how he'd seen a few of the other halflings being treated by some of the guards...insults, mocking, just general cruelties...why was he being nice?
After another moment, he realized that he was staring at the man - his face turned bright red, and he stared back down at the ground. He pulled the blanket closer around himself, in effect snuggling into it.
"...thank you.." he said it quietly, but he wanted to say more - ask more - like the question at the forefront of his mind...why was the guard being so nice?

"ah um uh no--you didnt. Just was-- why do you care!?" She snatched the keys from Mina violently and locked the door in a frustrated manner. She growled to herself, her tails twitching like mad. After she got the door locked she walked over to the shower "im getting in for a minute." She took her shirt off hastily, then the rest of her clothing and tossed it to the side. She then jumped into the shower and turned it steaming hot. After a while she turned around and ran her fingers through her hair yawning. "Hey--what was that song?!" the one you were humming"

"You're welcome Adrian," what he was thinking earlier came back into his head. "You need to learn to ask for what you want. If not you'll go bye life without ever knowing what its like to be happy. What? is it because im a guard you didnt ask? Truly enough i hate this government. You shouldnt be treated like this just because some scientist ******** you up! Only reason i work here is to get some good money, and to make sure the people in this prison arent treated like dogs." He sighed. "Then again theire are a few who need to be taught the difference between right and wrong.." he started to trail off when he realized Adrian was spacing out. "hey you ok?" he said, concern in his voice.

Mina smiled as she sat down on the bench. She leaned back, bracing her hands on the edge of the bench. "I heard it before I was caught and sent here. I think it was called 'The Shining' by somebody named 'Badly Drawn Boy'. Odd name for a guy who sings like that." She smiled and closed her eyes, humming the opening of the song. Mina relaxed and laid down on the bench, stretching out. She continued to hum the song as she cracked an eye open and watched Taiko in the shower.
