Obie laughed and glanced up at him. "You know... I really think it will be my love," she smiled. "I mean... Giani is a fun guy and honestly... when else would we get to have an opportunity like this? It's not even about the nudity really," she said softly, a small epiphany suddenly striking her. "We're going to express something that we share and really... is that so wrong to let the world know how we feel about each other?" she asked, moving to start cooking the meat.

Ra gave a snort of laughter and shook his head. "You make it sound like a porn movie or something." He said as he sliced the lettuce. "Though, you're right. There's nothing wrong with it when you put it like that. I do wonder how he'll have us pose though." He gave a smalll laugh and looked back over to her. "Yup, now I get the intrigue. I'm totally curious."

Obie laughed again at his assessment of her epiphany and stirred the meat around before adding some of the vegetables she had cut up.
"I'm sure it will be totally innocent," she said with a smirk, though the question made her start to wonder as well. Israel seemed like a girl who had her head on straight, so if she could trust him upon first meeting him then why couldn't they? Now she was really very intrigued to see his work and her mind wandered off to the little slip of paper stuck in her book. She would have to give her a ring to see that portrait everyone had been talking about soon to make sure she hadn't made a horribly rash decision.
"I know you're dead set against it, but maybe you should come with me to see her portrait. Or at least ask to see some of his other work, as I'm sure he has more. It might take some of the nerves and intrigue out, you know?" she said, keeping her attention on the food she was cooking.

Ra looked up at Obie and smiled. "I'm still not sure about that." He said with a small smile, taking a tomato and starting to cut it up carefully. "I mean, it feels so wrong to see my female friends naked. Very wrong."
He sighed and started to throw the salad into a bowl. "That's just cultural s**t though, I mean hell, even hair is forbidden. Maybe once I see it I'll think differently."

"It's funny to think, that way back when I asked you what features you found desirable in females and one of the things you said was longish hair. If you had stayed in Iran, how on earth would you have known?" she smirked, tossing her own hair back over her shoulders subconciously. She looked up at him and smiled happily.
Well... at least they could be uncertain together and she really did feel a lot better having Ra with her. He was the first person she had met that had made her be capable of looking past her family's years of harping on how ugly she was. When she was with him she really did feel beautiful. It wasn't just a word he said to make her feel good. She had felt very selfconcious when she had volunteered for this project. She checked the food and then turned to face him completely.
"Thank you Ra," she said, reaching out to place her hand on his arm. "It will mean so much more to me to have you by my side in this little adventure," she smirked slightly.

"Ah, but that's half the mystery. Power of suggestion. Besides, it's not like I hadn't seen women's hair. My mum and my aunts, not that I have some freudean thing for them, but you get the picture."
Stepping close to run his fingers through her hair he smiled. "But I suppose I would have always been guessing." He smiled at her next comment. "I would never do it if I couldn't have the picture done with you. It's the thought of sharing the experience that makes me look forward to it."

Obie listened to him and smiled as he ran his fingers through her hair. She really loved it when he did that.
"Besides, this will end up being something we'll look back on and laugh about when we're eighty and it would be a horribly embarassing story to share with our..." she suddenly stopped and blushed when she realized what she had been about to say. She was seriously getting way ahead of herself. It really amused her at how many times she caught herself thinking about the future and seeing him in it. She had never been one to delude herself with fantasies like those before... but they were still nice to think about, she thought as she turned to hide the blush and make sure nothing was burning.
"Keep an eye on these," she said, glancing up at him and handing him the wooden spoon she had been using. With a smirk she walked back into the living room and grabbed the book she had been reading and pulled out the slip of paper with the numbers on it. Sending a sly glance to the kitchen, she pulled out her phone and dialed Giani's number.
"Hey Giani... this is Obie. You've got yourself a couple's portrait," she smirked. There was no way she was going to let Ra sleep on this and back out on her the next morning.

Ra smirked at her blush and stepped forwards to take over the cooking. He had known exactly what she was about to say, he had been thinking the same but that really would be expressing things beyond them. They had only been together just over a month. He may have a romantic view on things but he was also a realist.
"What are you doing?" He called, hearing the tones of her voice feintly from the other room.

Pinning the paper with the numbers onto her bulletin board, she walked into the kitchen as she listened to Giani's excited musings on the other end of her phone.
"How did I do it?" she repeated his question, leaning against the wall just out of Ra's reach. "That's just a secret I'm going to keep. But he says he's looking forward to the experience and that's what you wanted, right?" she smirked, wrapping her free arm over her waist. "Just be gentle. He's still a bit skittish but he'll be there with me. He promised."

Ra turned to face her listening to the conversation she was having, a slight fear building in his stomach. "Oi." He mouthed shooting her a glare as he was torn between grabbing the phone and watching their dinner. "I'm not a hundred percent sure."
Watching her and realising that this was a battle he was not going to win or back out of. "I'm going to get you back for that." He smirked as he watched her finish the conversation.

"Alright Giani. Ciao," she smirked and flipped her phone shut, keeping her eyes on Ra. "Did you honestly think I was going to let you sleep on this? If I'm going to do this it will be with you and only with you. So if you really don't want to do this, you'll have to be the one to break it to Giani that he's lost himself two models," she smirked and stepped forward to finish up their dinner. She suddenly turned around and looked up directly into his eyes.
"Please my love? I promise this won't be as horrible as you are imagining it to be. Besides... don't you ever just get sick of playing by the rules all the time?" she asked, searching his face to make sure that he was not upset with her for what she had just done.

Ra smirked at her and shook his head. "You really do know me too well." He said as he stirred the meat around in the frying pan. Stepping back he allowed her to take over again and listened to her speak. Her words made him laugh a little. "Aziam, I said I would." He said, stepping up behind her and wrapping his arms around her. "I'm just nervous...Only two people have seen me totally naked since I was a young kid, and you are one of them. It's hard to get over the ridicule."

Satisfied that no damage had been done, she leaned back against him as she turned the heat off. "I'm going to assume the other was your mother?" she asked with a smirk, leaning a little so she could look up at him. She pressed a soft kiss to the side of his neck and resumed getting dinner ready, putting the gyros together.
"And don't be nervous my love," she said. "If you want my honest opinion, I really don't think that Giani will think negatively of your scars. He's an artist right? Aren't they always looking for new perspectives on things? And like I said earlier... your scars are not a negative thing. They're a different perspective on beauty," she said, glancing up at him as she set the finished gyros on plates for them.
"Would you like some tea with these?" she asked, turning in his arms to look up at him.

"Um, o.k." Ra smirked kissing the top of her head. Not disputing her untrue assumptions. Just as he didn't want to think of her ex exploits he was sure she didn't want to think about his.
He gave a small snort of laughter at her assumption of Giani and sighed. "You're probably right." He smirked. "He'll probably be all like my parents and their view of them."
Smiling as she turned to face him he kissed her lightly and looked into her eyes. "I'll make some saffron tea." He said, stepping back.

Obie smirked when he neither disputed or confirmed her assumption about who the other person was, which amused her really. She returned his soft kiss and smiled happily at his offer to make the tea. She really loved his special blends. Grabbing the plates, she took them over to the small coffee table and set them down. She grabbed a couple of large cushions and tossed them on the floor next to each other in front of the plates and then returned to the kitchen to grab the cutlery and salad.
"So what's on your agenda for the evening after dinner?" she asked as she set everything out.
