We have a Band Trip every year. Last year we all piled ino coach buses and went down to condos on the coas for like 4 days. It was great fun!

wOOt!!! play James Bond in the hallway of the hotel its awesome we have like two tripa a year one to state then one to Alberque New Mexico and in 2007 were going ot the Hawaii Invitational.

I wish we could have trips every year, but we're too poor. We go once every four years, I think. We started it again because in the past there have been behavior problems on major trips, and our marching band was invited to march in the National Independence Day Parade last year, and that's an offer you really don't pass up on. So we decided to go and set an example for the rest of the school. We did an awesome job, so we might go on trips more often now.

Oh, and of course there's the competitions we go to, we went to Marion and Oskaloosa. And we're going to state this Saturday (not today) and Ankeny's Mid-Iowa Band Championships. I can't wait!! biggrin And our pep band rocked last year. We got invited to play at the Girl's State Basketball Tournament in Des Moines last year, which was awesome. We had to learn 4 fight songs, but everyone loved us because of that. And when we got to our platform, it was a total mess from the band before us, so we cleaned it up. We even had fans up in the balcony things who were dancing when we played. Oh, good times!!

My band goes on spring trips every year. My freshman year they went to Florida, last year they went to Toronto, and this year we're going to Virginia Beach/Busch Gardens! I can't wait! Haven't been to Williamsburg in two years crying The only downside is we're leaving on my b-day crying crying

My band The University of Washington Husky Marchingband is going to Japan on thurday! We're going to perform at a parade in Osaka and then do a marching demonstration as well! It's gonna be different since they use the metric system there and there wont be your standard yardlines. We'll be performing indoors and we'll only have markings to let us know where we are. I'm quite excited about it since i've already been to that area of Japan only this time i get to perform with a marchingband. We're gonna be performing at highschools there as well!
The sucky part about it is after we get back into Seattle we have to board a bus and head out to Oregon for the Oregon University game... No rest for the wicked i guess!

The Guam Territorial Band participated in the 16th Annual Australian International Music Festival in Sydney...
We came there to do our best...and we got GOLD!!!!

My Band (Marian Catholic High School) goes to a diff place every 2 years. This year, we're going to Florida and we're going to be marching at the Disney World Parade in Magic Kingdom!!!! lol, I'm a freshi, and I've heard from my fellow Low Brass Players (Tuba player, I am, GO TUBAS!!!!!!!!!) That on the way to wherever we go every year there are strange... strange rituals that happen... lol I'm a little freaked to find out what they are (since A: I'm only freshman tuba. and B: I'm the only girl tuba.)

My school's band is going to be in the Columbus Day Parade in Chicago on this coming Monday. It's one of our biggest events because it's on national television. So, if you're planning on watching the parade, we're the Dixon High School Marching Dukes from Dixon, IL. whee

everyother yr we go to Disneys Magic Music Days and before teh miss america parade moved to Nevada we used to play in teh parade... damned trump... miss america was fun last yr... oh and when we dont go to disney we go to wildwood

My old band the Llano Yellow Jackets goes to Disney World every 4 years and my current band, the Marble Falls Mustang band goes to a trip every year. Last year we went to Hawaii and this year we're goin to Dallas.
