He glanced over to where Kojiro and Kain were having a muscle-down, and shook his head. He yawned slightly and reached for a bag of Doritos, nacho cheesier plz, and started munching them.
"It's when they do that kind of mess that us guys get a bad name."

arrow The Final Frontier (Sandestin Beach)Alisa was pleased and yet restless now that the Gods above had heard her call for the smiting of the sand castle, her attention span however was not exactly a mile long though and since the castle had been struck it was starting to become dull. In Alisa's opinion this party need more pranks and less giant muscle heads with giant egos. Yes, she was watching out of the corner of her eye as the two flexed and showed off, her mind coming to the conclusion that they were either Fighting elemental fools or regular fools with a unhealthy obsession with flexing infront of other men in nothing but thongs.
It wasn't until she noticed that some others had taken notice that she concluded that she would have to use them to spark something intresting.
So while carefully watching the two muscled up metallic looking men Alisa began to tap her index finger against the sand, her finger starting a rhythm that allowed her to better concentrate. She listened to the way the waves moved and crashed against the beach so she could use the rhythm she was creating and apply it to the water, subtly tweaking the waves so that they picked up speed and strength. It wasn't noticable at first but Alisa was creating a homing wave, a wave that was meant to smack right into Kain and Kojiro.
The first to notice the change would probably be the surfers of course, the way the waves suddenly became aggressive, tossing off a few surfers who were not prepared or experienced enough to ride a wave that was actually growing. The surfers who were tossed off would find themselves safe though as the wave simply pushed past them, the area behind the wave surprisingly calm. This wave was not normal though as a section of it seemed to just die half-way to impact with the beach, the wave section that broke off weakening so that it harmlessly impacted with the shore as it should normally.
Now Kojiro and Kain would not be so lucky since the now smaller wave was picking up speed, Alisa's rhythm coming in like a drum as she pounded her finger into the sand. Her rhythm was causing the the wave to rush forward all at once, the speed increasing with every second. The water that had been compressed into a crescent shaped wave hit the beach only seconds after the final speed increase, the top of the wave rolling forward as the bottom hit the shore. The very top of the wave rolled inward towards the center as Alisa stopped the rhythm all at once, her finger stabbing into the sand and digging deep which would leave a nice looking hole after. The backside of the wave was aiming to roll over Kojiro and Kain so if all went as planned they would wash up a few feet away from where they had been standing, ontop of eachother of course.
Yes, Alisa was going to get a good laugh out of this.

Kojiro just raises an eyebrow as he was about to fall into his famous forward/back arm bend pose..and that always wins em, believe you me. Still, while one might be a little surprised when a wave rises upward to begin to wash over the two figures in their good-natured pose war, one is never caught totally unawares when one is a soldier and expects anything at all times. Except maybe a dancing purple monkey..and the Spanish Inquisition. The end result of the rushing water is subjected to an equation of liquid mass+motion=contact resulting in motion+Immovable Object. There is a brief flash of silver in the eyes of Kojiro, and being that he IS in his defense "stance" form, he can activate [Immovability].
In retrospect, one should realize that while water may damage Steel on a normal level, Kojiro is stainless, baby. He do not rust. So whent he backend of the wave rushes over him, regardless of where Kain goes, Kojiro remains right where he is, in a slightly bent pose forward, with his feet rooted to the ground harder than petrified tree roots in iron ground. Kojiro does not move unless Kojiro wants to move in the defensive stance. Feet still rooted, he turns his eyes about..he gonna find out who just watered him, and he gonna do that old muscle man soda can trick. Y'know, that can crushing thing they did in the 80's to show off.

Kain's body fairly quivered, muscles expanding and contracting as he felt out his next pose, a showstopper. Yes, it was to be brilliant, the sun shining as it caressed his tight musculature, bathing him in glorious heat... reflecting off of the sea spray as it crashed into h - ....
His pose was for show, obviously, not for balance and structural integrity. That became apparent when a huge wave slammed over Kain, where he could still be seen for a moment before disappearing under froth and many gallons of sea water. When the wave receded, it seemed that only Kojiro was still standing...
Kain was facedown on the beach, head pointing towards the firepits. He didn't move, either, not to lift himself out of the sand. His left arm raised, made something akin to a fist... and then he snapped his fingers and pointed ahead of him. The snapping should catch Kojiro's eye as it was meant to do.

Success! Success! She had done it! She had slammed them bo -- wait a minute ... someone wasn't face down on top of that one muscle dork, that means it wasn't completely over yet! Wait, what? Why was he pointing in her direction? Okay, calm now, this can be rectified, she would just have to do something about that metal dork before he spotted her.
This meant of course she wasn't backing down from a challenge, Aliza's sense of determination kicking in as she began to seek out another source of water to use, which surprisingly wasn't far from where Kojiro stood. Infact, it was right under him, the water that had been absorbed into the sand making a rather convenient ally at this moment.
She had no time to make a rhythm but she was able to manipulate the small amount of water left in the sand just fine since the rhythm was only to help concentrate. Kojiro would probably feel the sand give out under him right about now, the remaining water that Aliza was spinning beneath his feet causing the sand to get soggy as it strained to maintain the mass of the steel behemoth. At this rate Kojiro would have to move or the weakened sand would give out and pull him down to about chest level.
If she couldn't move him then she would just have to move what he was under.

Sand isn't THAT structurally weak. Even if you wet it totally, when the water pulls back, only part of the sand would be saturated, and it isn't quicksand; true, in Titanium stance, Kojiro does weigh a little under a ton; still, the physics make no sense. If you put a lot of water under a semi if it was sitting on the sand, it wouldn't sink that far. The tires might sink in halfway and refuse to move, and the semi might tip due to the sand crumbling at the surface, but sand PACKS. It does not suck one under by that much, unless the wave is of such magnitude it could break off parts of the terrain itself, such as a wave produced bya hurricane or other such storm. that, and the sand absorbs the water, it becomes clumpy, not like quicksand or mud.
Regardless, even as Kojiro begins to sink some, he catches Kain's little motion, and turns his eyes to the offending party. He ends up being about to just above his knees when his body shifts, and reduces its form. Technically, now that he's partially sunk, he can't be knocked over either, rendering the original intent of the wave moot. In a sense, he's achieved his own form of victory. He doesn't recognize this person messing with the waves, but he's not about to just lie there. Oh no. By causing vibrations along the outer part of his body, he uses [Vibrato] now that he's in his Steel Stance. The rapid vibrations are a hum..then a violent hum..then sand explodes everywhere, leaving him in a nice little crater, about twenty feet in diameter. He crosses his arms, raising one eyebrow at the figure Kain pointed at..he's doing that shiny thing. That can't be good.

Yumiko has been watching these events as they unfold, and, while she can't exactly say she's happy to see it, she isn't mad to see it either. When the sand explodes from around Kojiro, she's got one hand up, a small whirlwind around her sending the sand hurling outward around her in a spiral, to land on others.
She was interested in watching him. She was always interested in watching him. She just had to make sure he didn't see it.

"Eeek.."
It didn't matter now, the immovable object had moved! Even if it was only a tiny bit, it still moved! Even being crushed like a can wouldn't get rid of that fact, the sand had given way and pulled him down so thus he moved!
"Hehe, stilled moved.."
Surely this isn't a sane thing to be thinking or saying right now but it wasn't exactly sane to try and smash a wave across the back of a steel giant. Now, if the original purpose of pulling the behemoth under had worked perhaps she could be cheerful and say this but it didn't work, he had busted out of being buried with that flashy "Crater Maker 2000" technique.
It was odd though, he hadn't sunk as much as she had planned, normally something like this would have him trapped in a full body casket. That was why she had spun the absorbed water beneath Kojiro's feet like a whirlpool afterall, to clear away the sand so that the weakened and soggy top layer would have no choice but to give way and pull him down. Here she had thought it a master plan, keep the weakened top layer of sand under the giant metal man while she cleared away some of the middle layer by pulling all the water from the sand together and spinning it like a whirlpool, then when he dropped in stop it all at once so the sand encloses around him.
Doesn't matter now of course.

Chris merely stared unblinking into the vortex of sand as it washed over him. And then he simply absorbed the sand into himself. Nifty little trick, that, even though it meant he'd be clogging up the sewers later.
All the sand coming toward Sohee was simply and instantly turned to glass upon impacting with the improved psychic barrier she had erected around herself.

"So what gave you this bright idea?"
"Playing RO."
Sohee sighed theatrically. "Right. So just because the admins of that game can alter the images they use for their towns depending on the time of year, you get the brilliant idea that you can just up and change our climate on a whim?"
Chris looked up from rifling through a box of Christmas decorations and gave her a look that suggested he considered such the most natural event in the world.
"Well, yeah. I mean, it's doable. We've got Alisa who can alter the ocean currents, that new Fire Master girl to reduce the ambient heat, and then Yumiko can summon us up some northerly winds. Hell, she dropped a bloody tropical storm on us once. A chill wind shouldn't be anything for her."
The spirit began to reply, paused, started to speak again, then once again stopped. Finally, she just shook her head slowly. "Well, at least you're not having a shortage of hairbrained schemes."

*It wasn't really that time of the year just yet, but she didn't really care. It could have been raining molten lava, fire shards setting her curtains on fair and her poor Vulpix running around like a frantic psyduck and Keahi wouldn't mind. Nothing would erase the fact that she was humming Jingle Bell Rock, despite it wasn't even Thanksgiving just yet. Nope. Not a single bit of it bothered her while she pulled out a small box from the closet. The brown container wasn't much, but it was all of her personal posessions from her mother that she had managed to reclaim; at least those concerning the holiday season. Her hand smoothed away the layer of dust that had collected on it over the months, and with a single tug, she unfolded the flaps of the box to show off a few ornaments, and a single star, which appeared to be some sort of tree topper. It was probably odd for her of all people to be enthralled about the Christmas spirit, but it wasn't any odder than say. . . a hot dog on a stick. It probably had no business being there in the first place, but it was still there in the end.*

The good general was busily decorating the Christmas tree that he had gone out and bought from the local Wal-Mart. It was one of those ones that came with the lights already attached to it, so all you had to do was connect the pieces and plugs, and boom, you've got a pre-lit Christmas tree.
So that saved him a little time for that. Thus, he stood on a chair in his living room, leaning forward so he could hang the other ornaments and what have you on the tree. Predictably, most of the ornaments were special holiday-issue ornaments of things like Yoda, the red Darth Vader, and a few from various other games and such.
For her part, Sohee snuck across the living room in a bonafide ninja fashion, holding a santa hat in her hands. Smirking to herself, she drifted over to her master, up a little, and then tugged the hat into place over his head.
He looked up at the sudden presence of the hat, then turned around to see Sohee floating behind him, grinning in self-satisfaction. He shook his head, then reached for one of the ornaments sitting on the couch arm nearby.
Only to come up short when she drew it out of his grasp with a flicker of Psychic energy. With a wave of her hand, she sent the ornament drifting toward the tree, hooking it onto a tree branch and letting it dangle there.
"Someone's feeling playful today."
She only grinned again, nodded slightly, and drifted away.

Okay, so the last thing anyone expected from this woman, would be the festive music flowing through her stylishly decorated apartment, or the ease with which she strung christmas lights around a modest sized tree that took up a small place on the landing near the fireplace in her den.
Upon the mantle, were rows of candles, small figurines that looked as if they'd been etched from glass, and hanging down, were two stockings, one a deep black trimmed in white faux fur, and the other a sparkling violet. Both fabrics were laced with silver threads, and sparkled in the light from the quietly burning fire.
The place was the very epitome of cozy Christmas cheer. It likely didn't present the scene that most were used to from the woman who was cold as ice.
Moving, she glanced out a pair of bay windows, at the still sunny area below.
"I predict.. snow.." A smile that was warm, private, as she moved back through the apartment. Somewhere, the scent of brewing coffee grabbed her attention, and if she knew anything, Faust had set it to make. Which meant he was drifting around somewhere.
It was good, the days they could just be.. normal, together.

It was almost that time, it was the winter season, and oddly enough it hadn't felt like it was until well... just suddenly. The freezing air making Keahi's hair on the back of her neck prickles upward. The young woman looked up to the skies, the darkened clouds coming from who knows where? There was definitely a smile on her face, she couldn't place it, but this wasn't just a mere coincidence that was for sure. Keahi continued to walk along the districted area, glancing in the windows of the shops. There weren't too many people on her list to tell the truth. She hadn't really gotten accustomed to a lot of the people and still felt like the 'new girl' on the block so to say. That didn't stop the small bag filled with Christmas cards signed and addressed. It mainly was going out to prospective businesses. As usual, Keahi couldn't seem to keep a handle on a job.
A fierce gust of wind cause the master to stop in her tracks, feeling her core temperature trying to raise as in response to the alternate element. Her teeth chattered for a moment. "Baby, it's cold outside," she began to sing to herself. The tune was a little strained and Keahi wasn't really the kind of girl you would considered a girl blessed with a musical talent, but her voice still satisfied the void of company. For a small moment, she have a deep seeded envy for Viola. She was probably curled up in the apartment next to the traditionally gaudy Christmas tree decked out in tinsel and small glass colored ornaments of red, green and orange. "This welcome has been so nice and warm.....my sister be suspicious.." she continued, turning the corner on the way to some place to perhaps claim some warm cocoa

Faust watches outside the window with a musing look. He isn't having anything himself, though he's got the pot going. She might like some, he mused..yet. Briefly, he removes the hat on his head, and watches the sky. Around Van, the whispers are dead, so he has nothing to worry about. Still, there's an anxiousness that he feels, and it's because of what's coming. He has the God-Beasts..but..what else is there in the world? He can't help but think of the situation he's in. He's of two minds. Destroy all life..or forsake destiny and live with humans.
He sighs, as he looks at his free hand..and he tightens it up into a fist. These decisions are getting harder, and every day, he knows is one step closer to when he'll finally have to act. He returns to looking at the sky..waiting for the snow to fall..
