Most recently I re-watched the movie Akira. I watched it again because I remember how cool I thought it was when I was younger and had forgotten most of the plot. It had a lot of mixed messeges about it, but the one most evident was war, and secret weapons and "be careful what you wish for..." stuff like that. I really enjoyed watching the movie again, and was worried that I would have weird dreams. Which I did. mrgreen

Oh god...My nightmare of that movie since I had watched Akira when I was 6 and the ending part...gross..|||
Make me almost puke when I look at just the storyboard of how Teho's body lost control(I dun mean anything of it,it's just it's not for a people who got a weak stomch while watching that artbook of showing the part of machine and organ to form a giant baby looking while the detail of the body...|||.And not even a right timing just after the mealtime to see the artwork|||)
yes a good movie but definitely not for a 6 years old kid to watch it because after that it ends up to be a nightmare lol|||

But other than that,it's not too bad
And somehow my 'imagination' always appeared that my imagination character would turn Tehou's body back to normal (Maybe I wanna fight for my 'nightmare'???)

Anyway,just my opinion of Akira ^^|||

In Inuyasha, It made me think about how Kikyo felt knowing she was killed and then brought back to life. An thinking on how she felt.

every anime i finish after i would think alot about it and be sad that it's over and keep thinking about it for a week untill, im back to normal

That's kind of the same thing I do. Like its a pain to realize that the anime's finally over and stuff.

I watched grave of the fireflies a few days ago and i have to say it really upset me. It was such a sad story i have to admit i had a little blub at the end and it made me think about the effects of war on innocent people. Have you seen any anime that has really made you think afterwards?? crying

Same here, I've seen Grave of the Fireflies a couple of times and it really let me see the horrors of war. I have some friends and family in Iraq and when I saw Grave of the Fireflies, I thought about what they were seeing. It also made me even more against the war.

NANA made me think about real life more. Usually, Anime is supposed to be a world of dreams, where anything can happend. But NANA really made me see the world as it is, which isn't always perfect, and can be quite cruel sometimes. The characters were realistic too.

I would have to say Howl's Moving Castle.
Not only is it a great anime movie(& one of the best ever ^^)
But it taught me that looks aren't everything.

Anime has taught me that life can be unfair but you cant let that keep you down and you must fight for what you beleive in to follow your dreams and also you heart that the world can be a better place

Anyone put down 'Death Note' yet? That anime really makes you think. Seriously. Is the world such a rotten place? And if it is, is it right to kill the 'rotten ones' and deep down, are the criminals really that terrible? Sure they've made mistakes, but is it right to kill them? So many questions.... gonk
