"Ready girls?" She noticed in the back, another girl come to join them. She gave her wide smile and waved to her to come forward. She continued to keep time for the Ariku and Tanpopo, while Kioku came forward.

Ariku nodded and smiled. She picked up the shamisen and smiled at Popo. She began to play the song. She tried to keep the tempo and play the right notes. She stared at her hands for the first two measures making sure they were presentable.

Kioku blushed and bowed her head shyly before slowly making her way to the front. "I-Is there anything I can h-help with?" She asked quietly, almost inaudible.

"Yes, indeed! I have two questions for you," Iyasu replied with a grand smile, "What is your name and would like to learn shamisen today?"

She blushed again. "K-kioku...And.. I would very well love to learn to play the shamisen..If that is alright of course." She smiled a tiny smile and resisted the urge to bite her bottom lip.

"All right, Kioku-chan, the girls are playing through it for a second time, gone a head and pick up a shamisen and help you tune it once girls have finished this section." She smiled.

Kaida opened the door and peered. "Um, May I please join?" She asked walking up to the one that she knew as Iyasu. "I'm sorry for comeing in late..." She said bowing.

She looked over the Kioku's head and smiled brightly. Four students, the class was growing. She waved hand for Kaida to come over and nodded.
"It's all right, Kaida-chan! You and Kioku-chan here can learn together." Iyasu said to them, "You came in perfect time. Now then girls, you did very well, with almost no mistakes! You two learn very quickly. As you can see we have two new students, Kioku-chan and Kaida-chan!"

Seeing people look at her as she was introduce Kaida turned to face them and bowed to them. " Hello, I'm Kaida. It's wounderful to meet you all." She said sitting back up and the turning to the girl next to her.
" It's an honer to join this class Iyasu-sensai." She said quitely. " What do you need me to do?"She asked.

"All you need to do is to select out a shamisen and then watch and listen carefully. You and Kioku-chan are a little bit behind, but not too far. Let me teach you the strings and how to tune for the song we are learning." She smiled, "Popo-chan and Ariku-chan I would like to either continue practicing up to the point you know or take a small break. I need to catch these girls up, it won't take too long." She bowed to them, feeling very confident in them. "Now then, what do you girls know about the shamisen?"

Standing up and going to pick out a shamisen and grabbed another for the girl that she heard be called Kioku. " Here you go Kioku-chan was it?" She asked kneeling down and placeing the shamisen in her lap.
"The shamisen is used by geisha as an instrument to play for patrons, Some times the geisha that is onee-chan to the makio plays while the makio dances in." She answered.
"Also the shamisen is just a wounderful instrument."

Kioku looked down, blushed, and nodded. "Hai. I know." She blushed again, letting her bangs fall into her face. "P-Please forgive me." Kioku bowed and accepted the shamisen.

"Very good, Kaida-chan! All of that is true." Iyasu nodded, "Now then, the strings. As you can see we have three strings here. Ichi no ito, Ni no ito and San no ito. From left to right, thickest to finest (ichi = thinnest)." She pointed to each one and made sure they under stood. "So what are the strings from thickest to finest?"
