i've disabled the gold notifier now, it was getting on my nerves.
a lady in another guild i'm in said she read that the 10g per poll was a glitch eek some glitch as it's been that way the whole time i've been on Gaia(18 months) i do feel sorry for the people who've put time and efort into creating polling guilds, but they're earned their gold from the polls so...
and there's no reason why these guilds can't stay alive, people just need to learn the art of conversation wink

Ok, from what I can see, it looks like the newer members are going to benefit from this now much more than those of us who have worked our tails off. Althought it's good for them, it should be the same for everyone. Just my 2c.

well, i've just read some posting by the person who put together the gold notifier, and it's confirmed that earning 10g per poll WAS a glitch, it's meant to taper off the way it does now sweatdrop
it was left for so long because people were just too busy with other things to fix it, so they let people rake in the gold for a long time!
but now we will be getting less it seems, AND the polling guilds are likely to become redundant*shrugs*
to look on the bright side...if people's gold earning capacity decreases...maybe the ecomony will take a bit of a dive and prices will come down!! which will be great for people who are questing for expensive items xd

yea buffyhowe...I can see that happening....I've already had to put 2 people on my ignored list that I previously had as friends (nonpurkles)....because they were sending forward email like messages....good lord...it was like reading my spam folder

well...
i've been polling for some time in the quests forum, never getting less than 8 per poll, usually getting 12.
i got 7 for the one in this thread, that's the lowest so far, this much be because my post count is still below 1000, i only did a bit of posting on this account to collect my 32 and 14 gold posts, but i've stuck with it now until my poll gold decreases..

I may just be slow at this, but a good place to get gold is the av arena thing....I just made over 200 gold in about 5 minutes.....started out getting 10 gold each vote, then tapered off to 3 gold each....not bad

yes, the avie arena is an easy way to boost your gold as there's no waiting time between votes there 3nodding

What the... eek Guess I'm going to have to read through the whole thread later to figure this out. So gold is now fluctuating and polls don't work as the uber gold makers as they used to be.. Hum... it does work if your post count is lower, not sure if the cut off point is still 1000 posts, but i expect it is.
i'm STILL getting between 8 and 12 per poll, even after earning 2K today.
i'm really not at all happy about this! it seems now, for me to be able to earn from polling, i shall have to use my lower count mules and shift the gold around, and once everyone's count is too high, create another account, and just keep on creating additional accounts as each one is maxed out, i don't want to do this!
why are we being punished for having been on the site longer than others! IT SUCKS!!! scream
