Chaos Sakura ((15-20 people and Raiu post your application in here as well thanks ^.^)) Chaos knew it was a woman...there were things that couldn't be hidden to knowing eyes. He watched them leave and slowly moved from the wall and then strode slowly from the ramen shop toward the infamous battlefield. He noted the way Yumi was walking and turned heading away toward the field of death and blood. He strode slowly in thought yet his senses beyond alertness and always on the ready. He breathed slowly pulling his straw hat down a bit more with his gloved hand as his katana and wakizashi swung at his side. He wasn't simply going to the battlefield for his health and meditation...there was something else he wanted to find...something legendary. (OOOuuu nice touch) *Kira strode fast through the woods and finnaly reached a long and steep flight of stairs. He sighed and began his long climb*

Appearance: Dresses like Aoshi from Rurouni Kenshin except he has a blacak trench coat with a silver trim, his shirt and pants are black not purple and he has a Katana on his right and on his left side. He has Silver Hair and stormy grey eyes.
Personality: Very secretive. Lives by honor and is very trust worthy after you gain his friendship. He is a loyal ally to have.
Description: Raiu is a mercary. He enjoys hiking in the woods and montians. Hi home is in a forest outside Kyoto,
History: Raiu grew up in Kyoto. His father was a also a mercanary and he taught Raiu everything he knew. His mother had passed away wile he was only a baby. When Raiu was 18 his father fell ill and passes away. He decided to pick up his fathers trade. Sadly his house burnt so he moved out into the woods.

Chaos stopped near a trench and looked into it. He shook his head slowly as he looked at it in thought and silence. There were decayed bodies long forgotten to be buried but there was something even farther that he was looking for. There were four legendary swords, but he only searched for one. He had heard stories and fables about it and now wished to find it...there were myths about the blade of demons, Muramasa, the blade of justice, Masamune. There were two others created by these two infamous sword makers and both held extraordinary powers. The demon blade was known as the sword of god since it was 9 shaku in length and could wipe out armies. Only few had the ability to even hold this blade. The justice blade was 6 shaku long but was still powerful. It was more passive and held more innocence one could say. The test besides the length was simple. Stick it in the river and if a leaf passed around it then it was the sword of justice but if cut in half the sword of demons. He wished for the justice blade since it was not bloodthirsty and he wished to use it to stop the rest. He had trained with long, short, and varying weights of swords. He searched now for it. Not desperately but more curiously than anything yet his senses and his Shigen(('Compassionate Eye' is used by samurai to 'see' farther and better than normal)) was at its' full use and searching for things unseen and unfelt. Animosity, Love, Curiousity, anything there even auras and heartbeats. He was searching for it all...

*Finnaly reaching the top, Kira entered the shrine, with a bow. Inside were a few dozens monks praying to a huge bronze statue. Kira quietly removed his swords from his sash, sat in seiza and began his long 24 hour praying to the Shinto Gods.*
OOC - Forgot to say....my char. believes well in the Shinto Religion like most japanese do..other than Buddhism or Christianity, not many of them

*the perpetual humming of monks could be heard all aroun, resonating in the many bronze bells. Kira's quiet harmony was at it's peak when his senses told him someone was standing behind him.*
Kira: Yes?.....
Man: Sochimashita (Excuse me), but could you leave our shrine...
Kira: And why this disrespect? Do I sacrilege your gods with my bloodthirsty sword as much as you think?!!! I am but a servant of this country!!!! And you insist or rejecting the ones who are trying to keep this country alive!!!!! EVEN IN A TIME OF WAR!!!!!
*Kira's ears caught the quick whistling of a needle so he threw himself sideways, catching his swords and holding them in battou stance as he faced the man. It was a very high ranked monk wearing an orange habit but he carried a blowpipe.*
Kira: What are you trying to do?
High Monk: Moshiwake Arimasen (I am terribly sorry), it is not you who we fear but the people that you attract to you.....we only wish for our safety....and you were causing quite the uproar...and disturbed the prayings
*Kira realized what he had done. He turned his head to see all the monks watching him in manner to say "How dare you". Kira sighed and got up*
Kira: Wakarimashita, sumimasen (I understand, my apologies). I shall leave at once. Again, gomenasai.
*He bowed to the high priest who returned it, bowed to the monks who returned it with slight nods and bowed to the small Shinto Shrine which stood beside him then left*

After 5 minutes of the two of them splitting up they met again at a small shop selling... yes, you guessed it... fish! They were both very alert, since they knew, now they were both here on professional business.
Yojimbo: So it's been a while since you last had to go on a mission hasn't it? I hope you're still in good shape, since you're going to need it.
Yumi: ...
Yojimbo: You know, I heard your last mission went smoothly. Now, this one'll have to go smoothly too, even though it's a lot harder! Understand? We don't want anyone to track us down after this one. We'll be having a lot of trouble after it anyway, we'll have to keep a very low profile too, so I hope you have somewhere to go after this?!
Yumi: I guess... but I don't have all day, now just give me the info already.
Yojimbo: Now calm down! You better have a lot more patience when you're dealing with this.
Yojimbo then picked up a bunch of papers.
Yojimbo: Here, all the info you'll need. You will not meet me again until after a month or so. If you need more info, go to Kai. If you mess it up you won't be seeing me ever again...
Yumi looked through the papers, then stopped when she saw the targets name.
Yumi: You've GOT to be kidding me! Why the hell do you want to kill him? Isn't he on our side? And... you can't mean that I'll actually have to assassinate his whole family.
Yojimbo: Now, that's why I told you we've have to be very careful this time. And as I said, all the info is in there. Later...
Yumi didn't even manage to say good bye before Yojimbo had disappeared into the crowd. The news were so chocking that she just rushed back to her room. There she carefully started reading through the papers after checking that there was noone else home.

*Kira had left the shrine behind him a hour or so ago and he could faintly see Edo up ahead. A few carts pasted him before entering the town.*
(in that time Tokyo was Edo and it was not very big)

Raiu decided to go out side to train waiting for his next client to come. He first choped down a tree and threw it high into the air. He then jumped after it and choped it into many circlure discs in lighting fast moves. After he landed he threw as many discs into the the air as possible and tried to hit them all whith shirukiens. He then took the rest of the discs and threw them into the air and jumped after them choping each one in half. Raiu then walked back into his hut with some of his new firewood.
Raiu: Darn I am still not fast enough on the shirukien throws and my slashes were a little off.

*The Town of Edo was filled with people walking the streets. Performers here and there were dazling spectators with their talents, merchants were yelling out things to bring customers and many houses and inns were in sight. Kira was not paid attention too much. Many samurai or fighters had passed by Edo on their way to battle in Kyoto or West Honshu. Kira decided he needed to relax a bit so he entered a small Inn, smaller than the rest. Inside it was fairly clean. A lady stood at the front and bowed as Kira entered. He returned it. A woman dressed in maid's clothes approched him.*
Woman: Welcome to the Akabeko. Right this way sir....
*She led him through the many closed rooms to an open room. She stood at the doorway holding her hand out as a sign to enter.*
Woman: I shall be with you in one moment, O-Samurai-sama.
*she politely bowed and left*

Chaos stopped at a cave looking into it in silence. He closed his eyes and breathed slowly before removing his blades and holding them to the side in respect before slowly entering. He returned his wakizashi as he entered holding the katana at his side as he walked. He went into the cave and moved slowly as the blackness surrounded him and gripped him with the silence. He could feel the bloodthrist in the cave and the repelling place of this bloodthrist both coming from almost the same place. He kept moving slowly as he listened attentively to everything around him.

Yumi spread out all the papers in front of her to get a better overview of them. Then she let out a long sigh while falling backwards. There she lay on the floor with her eyes closed for a minute or so before slowly getting back up again. She got her ink and a paper then started scribbling down a few points. After even more time had passed she had finished writing, she now had one single smaller paper with the most essential information, in code of course. She burnt the other papers, really made sure that every single piece had turned into ashes. Then she read through what she had written.
Yumi had gotten a mission to assassinate a pretty rich business man, Yamanaka, who was known to be on the Shinsengumis side. But according to the information Yojimbo had given her, he had slowly and secretly been moving more towards the Meiji side, helping them financially. This was not the reason they wanted to kill him, because as long as only the Shinsengumi knew he was being unfaithfull they could use it to their advantage. But now the Shinsengumi fears that the information they know has somehow leaked, therefore, he must be assassinated. The order was also to wipe out his entire family, to destroy all the evidence of it being the Shinsengumi behind the deed. All of this would be very hard because of the recent tightened security around Yamanaka. It would be hard, but should not be impossible, this was something Yumi was sure of. Now the question was only, how? And to answer that question she needed to get to know this Yamanka and his family better.

Came to the final chamber having already dodged thousands of traps and avoided death many times. He opened the door and moved to the side as a blowdart shot through the crack. He finished opening it and looked at the single monk holding a cross spear. He slowly stepped in and put his katana in his belt as he waited for the monk to move. They both stood motionless in wait and finally the monk leaped forward. A blade was on each side of the chamber both contradicting the other. Chaos moved quickly to the side as he charged and avoided the cross in the spear. He hooked his left arm around the shaft of the spear too far to be reached by a punch. He then drew his wakizashi and slashed out as the monk looked up. Soon after he could only see red and then blackness. He fell to the ground in pain holding his eyes and then suddenly felt nothing as the blade went through his head.
Chaos pulled the wakizashi back out and dried it on the monks' robes. He bowed after returning the blade and then looked between the two weapons. They were weapons of power and greatness...to wield one meant that the blade had accepted this person and would bring them victory. He looked at the blade of demons and turned from it walking toward the sword of justice. He stopped in front of it and removed his blades setting them in front of him. He bowed down slowly and touched his head to them. He then rose and reached out with both hands to Masamune.
They wrapped around the sheath and the glow instantly took him and began a trial in his mind and soul burning and fixing. He gritted his teeth but did not scream out for mercy. He would take the test from it as he should and would let it become him. He breathed heavily as the blades' aura surrounded him and began to pulse with his own. Then suddenly the only aura was from behind him of the bloodthrist. He looked at Masamune and bowed his head fully removing it from its' place of honor. He then bent down and returned his two blades to his side and strapped Masamune to his back. He turned and looked to the bloodthrist and bowed slowly before turning and walking from the sacred place. Few could find it and even fewer could take the trials. He eventually exited and returned the boulder to the front making it look like a rock wall. He bowed and turned making his way back to the town.
He was to protect Yamanaka tonight on the thought that his commander felt that Yamanakas' life was in danger. He strode slowly and looked at the sun. Midday...that's good he could get there in an hour and switch off with the bodyguard already there. Although he didn't like to protect men and be their bodyguards he had promised to do it this one time...it was for the good of the revolution he was told and so he would do as he was asked...
