Stuff... well... that could mean anything, but Gage didn't press the subject. He never did... It didn't matter anyway, all they needed to know was that they were pirates, with names, that had a boat, a cove, and adventures waiting for them! "Pirates talk different to don't they?" He thought he'd heard something about that.

"Exactly!" Ronnie agreed. "That's the truth right there. Amen sistah!"

It was a promise Dierdre intended to keep. Didn't only the other night, she have a nightmare about getting fat... which was why she'd chosen the non-appetizing salad instead or the slightly more appetizing grilled chicken sandwhich. She glanced over at Gage and Nereida, who seemed to be getting along really well, looking back to Darsais, she whispered, "Do you ever not get along with your family?"

He'd have to do some research to find out how pirate talk worked. It was always handy to be well-versed in these things. Smiling a bit oddly, he asked, "What's so funny?"

Ronnied smiled at the kids little pairing off, "It's cute, I'm glad Gage and Dierdre are getting to know more people. Gage especially, he hasn't met many people yet. Somehow..." she glanced again at the two groups, "the pairings don't surprise me."

Dierdre sent a raised eyebrow over to where Nereida was talking with Gage, the girl wasn't that big... Of course Dierdre was growing like a weed. "I know what it's like to be annoyed by some family members." She replied sympathetically, "You should ask your doctor to make you tall, so you won't feel small compared to your sister anymore."

Now, he'd have to see that movie, he really wanted to get the joke. "But what would I be looking for in the movie? Is it some inside joke or something?" It couldn't be that amusing could it?

Ronnie beamed at her children, "And if I can get that spot on the island, hopefully they'll be able to hang out more often. I'm sure they'd enjoy it a lot." And that was reason enough to want to move.

"Well, I've a few ideas in my head every now and then." Yes, this girl was absolutly a keeper, smart, and interesting. And she knew how to give proper praise. "I'm sure he'll be able to accomedate you."

"Onesie...?" Gage repeated, slightly perplexed. Interesting phrase, to be sure, but he still didn't get what was funny. Pirates were supposed to be fierce, not funny. Or maybe they could be both... he didn't know.

"Ah, I'm getting ahead of myself though, I'll have to drop by and put in an application, and hope my pithy salery can cover it and three children. I need to get a new job..." Ronnie said thinking of her sad little associate job at the boutique.

"You'll like being tall," Dierdre commented. And she knew from experience. "It gives you lots of advantages and you don't have to worry about being missed. It's very nice, I'm sure you'll enjoy it." 'Although don't get taller than me!' She thought to herself.

He sincerely did not get what was so funny, but he laughed a little all the same. Perhaps there were untold mysteries to be revealed in this movie. Some epiphanies, anything? Why was it so humerous. "I shall try and rent the movie tonight." and hopefully then he would indeed understand.

"Yeah tell me about it," Ronnie mused, "Too many good things at once leads to suspecion right?"

Dierdre only smiled at Darsais, soon she too would know the proud pleasure it was to be above everyone else. And as Dierdre had not found a suitable companion until now, it seemed appropriate that her counterpart grow to be as lovely as she.

Gage thought for a moment on this... "Well then I'll make sure my younger brother watches it too, when he becomes a person that is." It was probably a good thing that Gage had taken on the responsibility to be the older brother... Everyone knew Dierdre wouldn't.

"Ack, I always failed my tests because of that!" Ronnie laughed easily, "I just couldn't believe that they were ALL true... of course they were... but I had to mark at least one down false."

Dierdre's back stiffened slightly at the phrasing of the question. She was a person wasn't she!? Still, she resisted the urge to come un-done, and replied, "I am fae, I may even be sidhe, though we can't be sure of that yet. If you're referring to what gift I chose to follow, it was a crane egg."

Upon hearing this statement, Gage turned his attention to Darsais. Blinking once, he bowed his head in a formal nod at her. "I'm sorry, I did not understand. It was not my intention to offend you nor my younger sibling." In a way, he knew what she was saying, it'd been that way when he'd entered the jar on Veronica's mantel. "Forgive my ignorance."

Dierdre rolled her eyes at Gage's apology, the boy was so willing to be stepped on in every way. It was quite bothersom actually. What she really wished, is that he would get a spine and start saying what he really thought instead of just prancing around on eggshells.

"I can understand what you mean." Gage said pensively. Such an easy mistake to make, assuming that just because it doesn't have a body yet, doesn't mean it's not real. "Do you think... will he remember I've said this?"
