Underworld - Central Cavern
“Wait what…?”
The Keyblades remained in Roxas’ hands but he visibly relaxed. He wasn’t here to fight? That had to be a lie! It had to! But Axel… he said that Envy did not like to fight. Maybe this was true. Tidus had laughed at him and Roxas did yell at him. Maybe summoning the Heartless was just his way of defending himself. The boy only hoped it were true.
“Demyx?” Why would he want Demyx? Everyone already knew that the Heartless wanted to eliminate the Organization members, but he and Namine were here too. Why Demyx in particular?
The blond turned back to the musician. Was he going to do anything? Was he going to say anything? Roxas was not about to call his name out for him. Taking action was something that Demyx would have to do on his own.

No.......this can't be.... Yuffie knew her eyes were beginning to water but didn't do anything to stop it. Okay, calm down. There must be a rational explanation for why he wants Demyx that doesn't involve killing.....yeah, right. Still squeezing his hand, she leaned over and gave the sitarist a quick peck on the cheek. Envy's supposed to be a real push-over.....if anything goes down, I can probably take him on. She carefully fingered the edge of one of the shuriken's blade, scanning for a way to easily attack. In fact.....I can probably make him bleed just from standing here.....
"Demyx...." she whispered. "Do what you think is best. I got your back....no matter what."

Halting in her steps, a little hesitant even as her concentration was broken, the summoner-songstress turned back to where the Heartless was standing, silently wondering at what he was about to do.
Nevertheless, he retracted the eerie Heartless, and she relaxed, just a little, although her curiosity was piqued. He wasn't here to fight them? So...why was he--
Demyx? she thought. more puzzled than ever. What did this person want with him? It seemed like no one could answer her question, really, considering Roxas' stunned expression.
Not quite knowing what to make of everything, the brunette simply decided to hang back, silently calling out for the fayth - if they could hear her. She had been in battle long enough to know never to let down her guard, but this man...he seemed so...non-threatening.

Demyx's eyebrows furrowed when Envy asked if he was here. What did the Heartless want with him? And more importantly.... why? The musician stepped up cautiously, head held high.
"Yeah, I'm here. What d'you want?" His heart was beating loudly in his ears as he spoke. The Heartless were so dangerous, and here he was, stepping up to one like it was just some idiotic bully. He remained tense, though, ready to summon his Sitar at a moment's notice. You could never be too careful.

What the? Tidus stared at Envy, amazed that the man, having previously shown the threat of Heartless and a battle, but then suddenly withdrew them and was saying not to fight? The Blitzer was lost.
"Wait....what?"
Tidus stood out of fighter stance, but still held his long sword read. He even had a Hastega spell ready to cast in case they were to battle. "What's up with you? Why don't like to fight? You're a Heartless!" Tidus tilted his head to the side, oh so tempted to poke the Heartless in the face and bug him for more questions. "You're weird..." He said after a moment.

Envy frowned. It took them long enough to reply. Was one person in a small group all that much to ask for? Really. And this older blond was being more obnoxious by the minute. He really needed to grow up.
“I am not weird.” Number Four defended himself. “And not all Heartless like to fight you know. That’s just Wrath.” Every fact was true. Not one of them particularly lusted for battle except Wrath. Lust simply wanted men and thank the worlds that she was not attracted to him. But then again he would never know… nevermind.
“Demyx,” The Heartless began, focusing on the once-Nobody. “How many of your memories have returned?”

Rikku shielded her eyes against an indescribable blinding light. A moment later, the light was gone. She blinked a few times to let her eyes adjust to the dim light of the strange cavern she was now standing in.
"Hello!" She called. Up ahead, she could see...was it? It looked like Tidus! Finally, after looking for him for the past couple weeks, she had caught up and found him!
"Tidus!" She yelled.

A girl cried out his name. Wait...he knew that voice!
"Rikku?" He asked, looking towards the sound moments before he felt the Al Bhed tackle him onto the floor. "Oof! H-Hey, Rikku!" He coughed, but smiled nontheless.
Yes! Rikku! Oh how it had been so long since they had seen eachother! She had changed a lot...and so have her clothes! Or rather, lack of. A light blush crossed Tidus' cheek. This is what Rikku was running around as? Surprised she wasn't attacked by people yet. "Uh....um...Rikku? Do you mind getting off of me? We have a bit of a situation..." He whispered, glancing toward Envy.

"Oh, sorry!" She reluctantly stood up before helping Tidus up as well. Her eyes slowly traveled up his body, but she hesitated before she looked into her eyes.
Those beautiful blue eyes of his...how she had missed that perfect face, that sad smile,
"You haven't changed a bit," she whispered, for fear her voice would crack.
Rikku sniffled loudly and quickly turned so Tidus wouldn't see the tears in her eyes. Her eyes widened as she took in the scene now before her.

His memories? What could these Heartless be up to? If they wanted them all dead, why would they care how much the Organization remembered? Or did they suddenly decide that they didn’t want to kill them anymore? Well… that didn’t matter anyway because Roxas would defeat them all whether or not they’d fight back. These Heartless didn’t deserve anything.
“Well if—“ A call interrupted Roxas. The boy whirled around to see a girl… Wait. He knew this girl… vaguely though. She was one of those three… the Gullwings. She was big now? Since when? Then again… Tidus was older. Who was stopping her from growing?
It took Tidus to mention her name before Roxas remembered the blond girl’s name. Rikku. Yeah.
“W-wait. You guys know each other too?” he asked. The boy threw a glance over at Envy before approaching them. If he wasn’t going to fight, fine. Roxas was not going to bother him at this moment. He’ll get him in a minute after he spoke with Demyx.

"...My memories?" His tone was unsure now, cautiousness leaking into it. Envy may not be very strong, but he was quick in the brains department. That was something Demyx was pretty darn sure of. An uncharacteristic frown crossed his lips as he quickly thought of an answer. The Heartless, it seemed, were not very good at waiting.
"I have some..... why?" Blue eyes momentarily flicked over to the small commotion on the side as he responded. Almost immediately they focused back on Envy. The sitarist had learned not to turn away from the enemy.

Memories?
Lenne was a tad bit confused; why was the Heartless asking about memories? Had Demyx lost his? She'd heard rumors of memory loss happening to selected individuals in the Networks, but hadn't quite understood the full story.
However, now probably wasn't the right time to pursue the matter. Looking over at where a vaguely familiar blond girl was standing with Tidus, she suppressed a smile. This girl was one of Yuna's friends as far as she knew, but her name evaded her.
Even so, she did not miss the tears in the girl's eyes, and the songstress briefly wondered if there was more to this than met the eye. It was forgotten the next moment, though, since Lenne wasn't one who was overly curious in other people's personal matters.
Giving Rikku a faint nod, she greeted the younger girl politely. "Hello."

"Hajemimashite," Rikku replied politely, respecting her elders as always. "Are you Lenne? That's what Tidus told me, but I still don't know who you are. I'm Rikku."
As she introduced herself, Rikku noted the familiarity between Tidus and Lenne and felt a small surge of jealousy. Rikku considered Tidus one of her best friends. Yet when separated for two years, he went and made new friends. And he just looked so...at home with them.
As this thought crossed her mind, she began to feel a bit of anger as well. She had been looking for him for two years, and he'd just been casually wandering around down here, making friends with beautiful girls and not bothering to try to contact the Gullwings? The nerve.
Ignoring the fact that she had no idea where the exit was, Rikku turned on her heel and began to walk away from the group.
"Well, if you don't mind, I've got a mission to return to," she spat, as if her words left a foul taste in her mouth. "I WAS looking for someone, but it turns out that he wasn't lost in the first place. He's been right at home this hole time."
But before Rikku could make it two steps, a Heartless stepped in front of her, blocking her path. She froze, not knowing what to do, her blood turning icy, and lost conciousness.

"RIKKU!!"
Yuffie turned around just in time to see the Al Bhed collapse in front of Envy. After a number of on-line conversations, the two girls had become fast friends, bonding over mutual hyperactivity and klepto streaks. Although the ninja doubted her new pal was a world-class fighter, it was still a surprise to see her fall so quickly. Running over, she grabbed the arms of the unconcious girl and dragged her to safety. What's wrong with her........?
She looked over at Tidus, and then back at Rikku. That argument they had......did that have something to do with it? Leaving her friend for a moment, she stomped over to Tidus and glared at him.
"What the hell??? What was all that about? What did you do to her?" She poked at him with a slender finger. "By process of elimination, you're probably one of the reasons she passed out. As a result, you go take care of her."
