Elle wanted to grab at Luna's hand and draw her back, but she doubted that would work. So instead she let go of Luna's hand. "Do you want me to come with you still?"
Though she half expected a no, as Elle kind of planned to do the whole 'pulls into darkness for a kiss' thing a few more times. Just to see if it'd work.

The answer would have been a yes. A resounding one. But there was one fatal flaw in the plan. Everything Luna considered, she projected, and everything she projected, Jokeph could hear.
And once Luna began considering, Jokeph took her by the wrist and shot her a half-panicked glare. He knew what Luna wanted, but he also knew what was best for her. If she were to order him to let her stay, that was one thing, but she wasn't. And he thanked whatever deity kept her silent for the time being.
Um... I'll send you a letter, Elle? I have to go... Ma's going to be really mad I took so long.

"All right.... I'll see you." Elle didn't want Luna to get into trouble, so she agreed.
But she still would have liked more time!
