I dressed like a dark lotica at school yesterday.
I got alot of cute comments, strangers talked to me, and I scared people.
smile
Sorta sucky running in a lace skirt and doing push ups for relay-history.
Half the school didn't see it cause it was the immagration thing. It was sorta good.
On monday, I might be another lotica and bring my glass doll, Emily.
Cosplaying out is really fun. But not on the main streets .. That's when cars slow down, horns honk and heads stick out. ><; Darn perverts.

i have never dared try it, just at halloween. but on a friendly forum i frequent, i showed these innocent images and got a very mixed 50/50 reaction. some said "ew! perv!" and some said "kawaii!"!  i personally could not see what all the fuss was about. to me, these are harmless amusing images.

I have a small closet, so I only make cosplay I'll wear as clothes too.
Plus, lots of my friends appreciate cosplay at their birthday parties.

I don't know if I'd be able to walk around on a normal day in a cosplay outfit. I'm not afraid of the weird looks and such only the ones that have the potential to cause a traffic accident.
On a regular convention day during the walk to the convention I notice many of the drivers turn completely around to watch me and my group of friends walk down the street. The only thing I can think of is 'watch the road!...don't turn around like that!..Ahhhh...I can't watch." It doesn't help that it's usually morning traffic hour when we start to head off to the function.
If I had a reason, I'd totally dress up, be it an event, a fundraiser, taking pitcures or something of the sort. I don't think I'd do a complete dress up randomly though. The farthest I've gone to dressing up was wearing a rainbow hat with one of those propellers on the top or wearing a bright neon green sweater for picking up my sister at the bus depot just to embarrass her (Man did I get a lot of stares riding the train). xd It's funny how some people react to weird things.
I'd wear my cat ears but not the whole shebang. Kudos for you for having the nerve to do it outright for no reason. Maybe I'll do that someday. God knows I've done weirder things.

when me and my friend decide to commute
we're walking along sidewalk & standing on Trains
man, it was horrible bcoz the public eyes couldnt get off at us
then there's one kid shouts "Waa, It's Edward Elric!! (that's my cosplay)" gonk
and then he came to us then ask "Nee-san (Big Sister) is that Alphonse?" then he pinpoints to my bestfriend , my bestfriend is cosplaying a Sentai Gransazers anyway.... my friend didnt look like Alphonse . xp
next one
it was my couzin's bday my cousin really like Mecha so we cosplay Chibi Gundam Seed Mecha i thought he will gonna celebrate in their house but it will be celebrate on a fancy restaurant , so still went there, then the Guard didnt acceptedly enter us, so we have to remove our helmets and when we enter the door is really really small to we have to walk in our knees
then A kid again shout "Mama, they're terrorist" then the crowd stare at us then the kid shout "Hey? where's Kira Yamato?" then we paused then tme and my bestfriend laugh bcoz the kid is pertaining to the Gundam Seed and we cosplay Athrun Zala's Mecha rofl

the only thing i usually wear alot in public is my gungrave coat. no not that insane cowboy suit he wears, its his regular street clothing which consists of a specifically designed black trench coat, white shirt, black pants and black boats. but i mainly just wear the coat around, however i take the insanely large collar off the coat though cuz it goes half way up my face.
but at cons ANYTHING IS possible biggrin at JTAF 2004 i was dressed as vash the stampede and i and some other cosplayers went into the denny's to get a bite to eat. MAAAAN did we get some looks xD its was all SILENT in the place. god for a kodak moment.
i did the same thing as vash, except it was out of hte hotel, downt he street and at a starbucks. people were actually smiling and i got honked at on the street xD god it was funny
but thats about the only thing ive done so far. at least regarding cosplaying in public.

The closest I've come to cosplaying in public was when I wore my Sakura (Naruto) costume to school on Halloween. I don't really know what possessed me to do it...>.< I got a good response from the few fans of Naruto (this was before it was on Toonami...), but the general reaction was "what the heck are you dressed as?" It was kind of funny, but rather awkward. Oh well. I still love cosplaying whenever possible <3. Now it will be interesting to see the reactions my friends and I get from our FMA cosplay at Anime Mid-Atlantic next weekend when we go out to eat... ^_^;

oh, man...when do I NOT cosplay publicly? My friends and I do it all the time...to the store, the theatre, school... Most people dont really care, it's HOUSTON, but dude, we have SO MUCH FUN.

Every year at PortConMaine, we walk across the road from the hotel and wander into the mall. It is a fairly large mall too, even though it is only one floor. I have pictures! Ask me for some!

I have a white kitty hat I wear often..
And I plan on wearing my Hinata costume to school when im done with it!

lets see, I was Anna from Shaman King, my friend was Sexy no jutsu Itachi, my other friend was Yami Bakura from Yuugiou Duel Monsters, and my other friend was Larva from Vampire Princess Miyu! 3nodding It was great!

I remember seeing a Itachi cosplayer once walking through the mall. I've always considered wearing cosplay in public, but the only cosplay I currently have is Vincent and it is quite hot and has the cumbersome pointy boots. Hot cosplay + Florida = xp .
