Taylor_Highwind *glad someone FINALLY agrees with me* heart
Yeah, Cloud wasn't really in SOLDIER...he thought he was...or whatever. But it was really Zack. But did Cloud like...work for Shinra or something? Because in the flashback, he was the one guy in uniform...
But yes, he was injected with JENOVA cells or Mako or whatever. xp Yup, the whole mako-injections messed with his mind. He took the place of Zack, and Tifa went along with it. He was, however apart of soldier. YOu know those guys you fight at the beginning of the game? He was one of them. But being injected with Mako gave him 'Supa-Scrength' if you will. And about the jumping thing, well, I'm guessing it might be materia. They have materia that summon giant dragon things, why not high jumping skills? What confused me though, was the difference in character. Elena was made sooo much cooler in AC then in FF7!

To me the jumping kinda just...took away from certain people's skills... crying Cid and Yuffie in particular (Yuffie's a ninja...and she jumps pretty high in the game).

I personally like how the all had to jump out &/or up and help give Cloud a lift up. I thought it was neat and was a way to let everyone give one last small addition of help in the fight.

in terms of cloud being exposed to mako. all shinra people both turks and all soldier people from runts all teh way up are exposed to mako. it's part of the drill....
I didn't think it was so great Cid didn't hardly get any airtime in AC.. but then again. it was mostly about him, tifa, the new guys... and aeris. i guess..

Well, as for realism in FF7... It's FINAL FANTASY. I hate to be the one to say it, but come on; Limit Breaks and Materia. A planet that BLEEDS. 'Nuff said razz
Yeah, everyone can jump insanely high, but really, is it going to be fun watching Cloud and Sephiroth run after one another up the insanely long staircase in the ruined Shinra building? They'd be all tired out by the time they reached the top. And it'd be kinda boring to watch, too.
Sephiroth *hands on knees*: *cough* Tell me... what you *wheeze* cherish most... Cloud *leaning on sword*: Right... now? *pants* ... Air.
That said, I think Square is allowed to pull some strings to make it cooler. Artistic license and stuff. And speaking of art, I like how they didn't try to pull that cheesy faded shadow behind the two of them in their fight (Cloud & Sephiroth) to immitate that they're going really fast. If you pause the DVD during the fight at any time, there's no blur, just a solid image. If you see any blur behind them as they move about at speeds most people couldn't physically handle, it's your own eyes doing it. Nice touch I think.
Something I find kinda funny is that nobody's yet mentionned Reno's superhuman ability to climb any surface... I typically watch the movie with my baby bro, and we call him 'spiderman'...

Yeah...they've all become superhuman in AC...which they weren't really in the game. sweatdrop
But the producer or whatever decided he'd change stuff...
The movie's just fanservice for Sephiroth, Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent fans.

Oh shoot, that's right! Poor Red XIII.
He definitely wasn't easy on the eyes in AC. Then, when he finally gets a line, he's (drumroll) MASTER OF THE OBVIOUS!
"There are still children with the stigma" in this haughty british accent.
I'd personally like to know where Red finds the mother of his two little cubbies (and would be very dissapointed if he self-reproduces) LOL

Taylor_Highwind Doubt that. sweatdrop They changed the outfits in AC a little so...well...What happened to Cid's jacket and scarf?
And Tifa's more loose clothing? And...and...yeah. sweatdrop
I guess wearing the same thing all the time got boring... xp They probably had to nuke their clothes because they wore them for so ******** long that they were a bigger danger to the planet than Meteor rofl Red XII severly disappointed me in AC. AND WHY did they make Cait Sith sound like a retarded Scottish person?! I'm Scottish. I don't call ANYONE lassie, or talk like that.

Taylor_Highwind Mako18 Just a small joke lol In all honesty though, would this kind of an action movie hold up to that name if these people took turns, waited for their turn and stood in formation during battle? No but they could've at least made normal looking fight scenes. sweatdrop Maybe use some of the moves they used in the game, but in a real time battle? sweatdrop dee dee dee, they used clouds final move on sepheroth and they also used vincents cerbeous move when they fought bahutmut (even though they didnt really show vincent personally for his move it was obveous) and also the ykinda did at the ending kinda they showed a quick arial view with cloud vs. the SOLDIERS and also Tifa vs. that one SOLDER dude with the hair all spiked back then when she kinda won it was the final fantasy theme after they defeat an enemy by the way sry for saying dee dee dee sweatdrop

Yeah what's with the Dee Dee Dee? I'm not from a Kirby game. rofl
Um...I'm Scottish too. sweatdrop I guess they misinterpreted the way that Cait Sith talks, and thought it was Scottish.
And Cid...they made him sound southern! gonk I honestly don't mind that accent and people from the south, but really...it doesn't fit Cid. xp I think he just talks with a bit of slang.
I wonder...since Cait Sith's voice was a Scottish accent, does that make Reeve have one? rofl

I wonder...since Cait Sith's voice was a Scottish accent, does that make Reeve have one? rofl The "Dee Dee Dee" thing is, immediately speaking, a way of calling someone an idiot. Mind of Mencia is where its from. Hate that show, but the commercials are played constantly on Comedy Central. Cait Sith, if you look closely at his dialogue in the game, you can actually pick out a few subtle hints towards him speaking either Scottish or Irish. Mainly, its just a way to mask having Reeve's real voice come through the bot. Reeve himself doesnt have a Scottish accent at all. Cids voice, I think, fits him. Hes a back-woods town pilot/astronaut. I laughed the first time I heard his voice in KH2, but then got used to it and saw that it could fit, at least to me. I still chuckle when I hear it though. rofl
