Im bi and Ive had a girlfriend once , but I think Im atracted more to girls because they think differently from guys. I did really like this guy at my school but I come to think hes the biggest perverted jerk, and now its like 5 more% up to liking women , although my age does kinda throw me off :/ neutral

Well, I prefer to keep my past...To myself, but I do know that I'm am bisexual...It's just something that I've come to realize about myself..
I used to be scared of even thinking about liking someone of the same gender, and always thought is was gross for me to like another girl..But in the past couple of years, I've realized, that I've been attracted to males as well as females.
I believe that I myself are closer to the lesbian factor than bisexual one, but I do date guys, as I can't find anyone around here of the female gender to date...And I'm kinda covering myself up..
I hate to admit it, but I'm still and school and what not, though I'm not what you would call popular, I'm kinda low on the social level, but it's more-so because of my personality, and I knew that if I ever announced aloud that I was attracted to girls, then I would definatly scare alot of people away from me, because I've been lying to them..
They would be okay with it, it's just the fact that I've lied and told them that I am straight as straight can get, and I know I'll lose their trust..
But I'm dropping out of school soon, so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to let them know sooner or later, but I am bisexual, and don't say anything about it being hormones raging either..
Because I don't think that's what it is in all entirety, I just like both genders..In the same aspect, and I see no difference in liking both either..
Yeah, that just trailed on about nothing..And I don't think I made sense..but whatever..

I don't quite know what my sexuality is at the moment. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere between being bisexual or a lesbian. Confused as I am...I just say queer or...not straight. Lol. sweatdrop

I just like whoever I happened to like. Male or Female doesn't make a difference.
I prefer saying that over just saying bi, because what if I was NEVER attracted to any women (I don't get crushes very often, no it's not all that far-fetched), would that make me strait? If I was ONLY attracted to women? Would I be a lesbian?
I just say bi, all in all, to cover all my bases. Besides, I've been attracted to both in the past, so I guess it works.

DarkstarNova On the upside....some people are attracted to that aura...*liiick* Long live "what the ****ness"!! But back to the topic at hand...I am certainly bisexual, and I've had a long time to come to that conclusion....at 24, Im prolly one of the oldest here... I'm 24 too... though I think I said that in my original post...

Heh, I guess it's true then. There are more bisexual girls and guys than lesbians and gays. That's quite interesting and amazing though, but of course most of the people are gone now. -begins to think- I wonder how much of this guild is bisexual, and anything else. It seems to me more guys here are straight, and more girls here are lesbian.
Except for me though. I'm bisexual and it'll probably stay that way. Even if I'm with someone really special (Believe me, I'd never cheat on the person) I'd still probably like both genders.

I've had a lot of people say that to me in the past, and it doesn't make any sense. You don't have to be actively sleeping with anyone to have a sexual orientation, so why would you stop being bi because you're monogamous? (You know, it sounds really funny me saying this... since I'm not monogamous. But I have been in the past, and I've run into this argument before.)

This is a really interesting subject. I've read some posts but not all so I hope I don't sound redundant.
The abundance of bisexual girls (on Gaia and in RL) bothered me for a while, as I felt like I was truly bisexual and many people were just saying they were without truly exploring that part of themselves first. As I heard people talking more about it I came to a (personal) conclusion that it is less a matter of trend, and more of a change in acceptance. I think that most humans have some level of homosexuality within them and it's only through growing social acceptance that people are willing to express that in themselves.
Personally, I recently discovered that I am not bi, but actually a lesbian. It is a scary discovery process and some people need to hold on to that label to feel a little better about it. I know I did! Given the young age of most Gaians, this could also contribute to the high number of bi girls.
Sorry that was long ^_^;;

Personally, I recently discovered that I am not bi, but actually a lesbian. I recently discovered that as well. I think a lot of people do realize that after "being bi" because they discover that they were just trying to be "normal" and not be gay. Anyway, the thing about it being more accepted and all people containing a certain amount of homosexuality -- I really agree.

The one thing I hate the most is people saying I'm confused. Now, I see that's not what you're doing. I'm just stating a fact. I get your point entirely, and a lot of it I agree on.
I'm a lesbian, and I figured it out when I was about 12. I figured it couldn't be true, though, so I got a boyfriend at 13, or whatever I called it then. But while I was with him, I realized what I should feel towards him I felt towards my best friend. So, poor guy, I dumped him and went out with her. Didn't last long, but how many relationships do when you're thirteen?
Anyway, I'm 100% positive that I am a lesbian. I figured it out right at puberty, and of course then it wasn't "popular" like it is now. But you have very valid points. We're not at the point where it's just not okay to be homosexual anymore, and we aren't yet at the point where it's just something that is. So some teenagers just figure it's a good idea to jump on the bandwagon, and others still act like five year olds when confronted with the subject. And of course there will always be the slight confusion very early in puberty, when some kids just don't know what's going on yet, and they might think they're gay when they aren't. Or vice versa.
...Okay, that got a little long. xd sweatdrop
