Aiolos landed on a small tree along with the mage, who was, unsurprisingly, still praying. They got off and ran once more, damnit, his feet were getting tired.

"Yes!" Aiolos laughed, his insane plan actually worked! He's always wanted to try that trick, but he never got through doing it, but it worked! It really worked! He was giggling like a schoolgirl, despite the whole running away from a flood thing. He eventually got to the stump field.

MR. KYONUSKE'S WILD RIDE An unbelievable torrent of water crashed down from the dry waterfall, pulverizing the basin that had normally contained it, and overflowing in an instant to tear apart and uproot any nearby trees. The mass of water rushed downstream, but was far too much for the riverbanks. The Dead Forest would completely flood, the water was rushing fast and powerful, enough to uproot trees and take them downstream with the river. And then... a looming shadow appeared, as two halfs of the great dam fell into the forest, carried off by the current downstream like a giant raft.

Zen flew over the dead woods, watching Aiolos before dropping down himself. "that was close, really, really close." Zen took off into the sky once more headed for the stump fields.

"Oh s**t!" Zen looked back as the water still rushed on towards them all, Zen bursted with speed into the stump fields.

He'd just gotten out of the water. It had felt like a good half an hour fighting that water. But it had only been a few seconds. But he'd survived it, hadn't he?
And know, Kalis was once more, must I say it, RUNNING LIKE HELL, as the water that was already overflowing swept through the area with great speed, quickly stripping him of his lead on it's greater depths, and sweeping him off his feet.
His legs pumped, crossing over stone and soil and roots covered in quickly depthening water, as it crashed into him with it's mighty force, taking him and and away, besides downstream further.
And it was so, that he would find himself, far, far downstream, sitting among the middling hieght branches of a tree that had only been half upturned by the raging waters.
This time soaked to the bone.
And still laughing like a hyena, his black wide brim had caught on a branch of a neighboring tree, and bandana still in place covering his hair.

It was a process, that likewise, seemed to take much longer than it took.
A long, soggy process.
Kalis climbed down from his maybe-doomed tree, and sighed. He had on jeans. A heavy coat. A t-shirt. And his sword sheath would probably have a little water seeped into that little extra space inside. Wet.
WETWETWETWETWETWETWET.
He was just a little wet. Mostly, he was soggy. Waterlogged, soaked. He wasn't too surface wet, no. Just holding a ton worth of water in.
His dratted greaves probably had little fishes swimming around in them.
So, he slogged much more noisily than he liked to that other tree.
Looking up, he sighed.
It only took him three tries.
He climbed to that bough. And shook the damn thing 'till it dropped his now much heavier hat.
And then, fell awardly out of his tree, onto his face.
"Splendid day I'm having. Makes the A list. For sure."
And with great dignity, he stood, picked up that black wide brim hat, placed it carefully atop his head, and marched out of the forest in a slogging, squishing, slopping double time.
"I feel like a goddam swamp thing."

Aiolos, taking the advice of the dirtbike driver before, RAN LIKE HELL. Ran all the way back to... Wherever he was before, the twilight forest. Wait... He saw Skinner, and Aiolos imediately took out three of his knives and threw them at the leader of the company he most despised... Sorta.

And she'd made it to the edge, just as the waters came pouring down, like mann from ********, who was she kidding, it was like the fire hydrant had gotten turned on right behind her. And she was gone. Over hill and dale, slamming into things she wouldn't even want to think about later. The only thing she could even remotely consider was curling up into a fetal ball, and protecting her stomach. Wishing she had her helmet, wishing she had her damned bike so she would have thought of bringing her goddamed helmet.
And when she eventually stopped, the water slowly going back into it's proper banks, Sam was left unconcious in a nestle of trees at the outer edge of the opposite end of the forest. She'd wake up in a minute, Brackenberry...In a moment...

Well there was a familiar sight, though now it was different. The river bed now was filled. Ideas of terror ran through his mind at a number of possibilities.
"Maybe we could pour some oil and burn it. That would be a good weapon of terror."
Well whatever was decided he would need to get back to HQ and report.

In the distance Quin could see the blaze, the blaze of the depot still burning. A beacon in the night. Too bad Quin had taken the truck the first time around, and now that was destroyed too. What was with him and destruction, he should have stuck to being a diplomat.

As the operative entered the dark of the forest, he ceased his whistling, deciding that the entertainment it provided wasn't worth the risk of getting ambushed when he was all unaware and whatnot. Shrugging, he re-affirmed his grip on the knife holding it about two feet in front of his chin as he pulled his HK Mark 23 mod.0 pistol from its holster at his right hip and held it out in front of his body, barrel pointed to the ground ahead of him.
He kept this loose stance as he walked slowly through the forest, eyes straining to get in tune with his dark surroundings as he kept his ears sharp. It'd be a bother to tap into Sokugoku resources so soon after that collapse, but he wasn't gonna get shot in the back right after surviving through Hell and high waters.
Finally he'd reach the opposite edge of the forest, his natural night-vision fully kicked in so he could distinguish shapes easily and all that. And as such, the women nestled into the trees was recognized pretty quickly. Well, not -recognized- per se, but he saw her there, and pointed his gun in her direction, edging towards the figure slowly.
"'Ey!" he said, voice hushed. "You alright there?"
Rhetorical question, but whatever.

She shook her head and sat up, staring at the person who'd spoke to her. "I think so..."Her eyes narrowed..."Where ya headed, stranger?" She wasn't about to give out her loyalty until she knew if she was in danger.

"Skinner camp," the half-golem was much more liberal in his release of information, although he did have his gun pointed on the woman, and two quick flicks of the wrist and he could probably throw that knife at her too. Then again, even the truth was a difficult thing to trust during a ******** such as this one.
"And you?"

She looked a bit closer..."Oh...I remember you..." Yeah, the guy she had given shitloads of money to, for killing Viceroy a few months back. "Same.." She smiled and stumbled to her feet. "Mind giving a lady an escort back to camp?"
