Name: Reece Charles Price
Nickname: Rice/Ricey, ricecake (which is used more as an insult)
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 30/10/89
Current Residence: South London
Employment/education: Still in school, but bunks off (truants) a lot.
Nationality: British
Height: 5'6
Weight: 13 stone
Eye colour: Brown
Hair colour: Golden brown
Appearance: He is obese for his age and height and looks like he's lived his life on junk food, which is a correct assumption as he scorns anything healthy. His hair is spiked up with gell, sometimes it's just a quick ruffle, other times he'd spike each section up.
He wears baggy clothes most of the time like baggy jeans and loose t-shirts. His favorite top is a dark blue hoodie with a flaming skull on the front.
Personality: A mischievious glint can be seen in his eyes and as quickly as it appears, it is hidden. He tells lies to make him sound impressive, to get out of trouble or simply to see how far the person will believe him. He can be nice to people if he tries, but being rude is so much more fun! Reece can be arragant at times, being at that age where he thinks he knows everything and everyone else is wrong.
Reece does ask alot of questions, his curiousity is great which can be a weakness as he'll do anything to satisfy it, while asking he'll act all innocent and nieve to get answers. If a person puches the right buttons he can get hot tempered, although he isn't laid back in the first place he usually whips back with a comment or insult, but if really made mad he'll turn red and shouts, then think of a way to get them back.
He likes to joke around but can take it too far and especially likes to pull pranks. His main love is annoying people, usually by telling bad jokes or winding them up and he's too lazy to do anything for himself unless it's playing games, or stuff like that. Doing the dishes, laundry or tidying his bedroom, should be left to mums.
Instead of hanging out with his few friends, he'd rather play games on his x-box so unless they come round to play or he to theirs, he doesn't see them much. Reece doesn't care really, he'd spend hours playing games and snacking, completing and re-completing games.
He uses slang, but doesn't swear as much as some do.
Likes: Sci-fi movies, marval such as spiderman, x-men, the punisher and DC characters such as Batman, bugs, bad/sick/sex jokes, x-box, shoot 'em ups, racing, flying simulators, horror movies, junk food, smoking, drinking, relaity tv
Dislikes: Reading, diets, vegetables, 'goody goody' people, rpg games, health food, pop music, being called a baby or child, being called names, bullied, prank or insult backfires or doesn't work, people who are unfazed by him, exercise.
Fears: None that he'll admit to (but injections is his biggest fear)
History:
He was raised alone by his mother as his father left when Reece was 3 years old and have lived in London all their lives. His mum, Anne works full time to keep ends meet.
Reece doesn't go to school much and has been kicked out of one for his distruptive behaviour, such as throwing water balloons at teachers in class and never attending. Since counselling he's a lot better, but still skips school as he finds it boring and pointless. Due to his countinious bunking his mum had to pay a fine, even grounding him has no effect as anything she hides he finds, if she throws any of his stuff away he trashes hers. If he's left to play his games, he's out of trouble and behaves. Very few words are past between him and her.
He has even stolen money from Anne to buy computer games or fags (cigerettes), but he doesn't smoke loads as he'd much rather buy other stuff and always saying he can quit anytime.
The boy lives on junk food, never touching anything healthy and although his doctors have tried, he'll never go on a diet, he'll always sneak food and rather act like he'll starve then eat rabbit food. Once when his mum locked the cupboards and gave him a healthy stirfry he threatened to call social services for neglect and refused to eat anything (at least in front of her, sometimes it worth having a stash of goodies) In the end she gave up and let him have his own way, like always.
How he got to the island
The Smartcar pulled up to the side of the street, this was bound to be the closest parking space the driver could find in the busy streets of south east London. The boy in the passenger seat sighed, this car was so embaressing, at least they were far enough away from the youth centre not to be seen.
The engine died and his mother, Anne looked at him, almost pleading in her eyes "Remember our deal, you have to attend the youth centre every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of this month and I'll pre-order that game you want." The boy rolled his bown eyes at her bribry. This is what it had come down to. "Sure." He said, after all he could pretend to go every day after school, she wouldn't know any differnce and then he'll still get the game. "I'll be asking Maria if you have been attending." Anne stated simply, no threat in her voice was evident, but it had an edge of weariness. She was hoping that this would make him behave, have something to do, to concentrate on instead of moping about the house playing video games and causing trouble. Maybe he'll meet some nice friends and actually like going to the youth centre.
A grunt was her only reply, so much for that plan. He had forgotten one of her friends worked there. Great. This was going to be boring. He'd have to think up a way to get out of it, he knew she'd never believe him if he pulled a sicky. He had to admit, she had been quick to learn to see through those acts. Reece opened the car door and stepped out. There was no embracement between them, he had grown out of being kissed by his mother years ago and their relationship was cagey at best. There was no love shown between them anymore.
Anne watched him step out and sweapt a loose strand of blonde hair that had escaped from her ponytail from her blue eyes, the pair couldn't be anymore different, sometimes it was hard to see they were mother and son. She being slender with a small built and a long worried face, and him rounder faced, broader with dark eyes and hair. Reece would catch himself wondering if he looked like his father more or if he was actually adopted.
"I'll see you tomorrow, love. I'm on the late shift tonight so there's a ready meal in the freezer, don't wait up please." She meant don't stay up all night on the X-box as there's school in the morning, Reece thought. As if he cared about school. "Yeah, whatever." He mumbled shutting the door. What he'd give not to have an adult nagging him all the time, he mused as he shoved his hands in his baggy jean pockets and started up the path towards the centre. He heard the car engine come alive again, but knew she would wait and watch. Making sure he was going where he should be going to, but she doesn't wait long, never does and sure enough he heard her move out and from the corner of his eye saw the yellow Smartcar drive away.
Rest coming soon.
Who would miss him.

Name: Malic Jennings (Mal-lick Jen-nings)
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 18/06/1978
Current Residence: Apartment in Kent
Employment: Unemployed.
Nationality: English
Height: 5’ 7”
Weight: 12 stone 9 pounds (?)
Eye colour: Dark grey
Hair colour: Dark brown.
Appearance: The tips of his brown stringy hair rests on his shoulders. Usually he would have a young scruffy beard or stubble sometimes he would be clean-shaven, but he cannot decide which to keep to.
The small bags under his eyes gives him a tired look as he has a bad habit of staying up until the early hours of the morning. His face is thin and his skin is a light pink. He is slender but not skinny looking as he regularly exercises and likes to keep fit, but doesn't have any bulging muscles.
Personality: A light worried expression seems to etch itself on his features the majority of times, but a warm smile quickly sooths the lines. With first impressions, he seems quiet, sincere and almost serious looking but he has a dry sense of humour as well as a playful and curious nature.
Generally he can be a coward or at least concerned for his welfare and safety although that can be overcome due to his sense of moralities and will try to help a friend when possible or even someone who looks like they need help, but this doesn’t make him skittish or nervous around people nor overly brave. This does however cause an inner conflict about risking his own safety for a stranger, especially if he cannot determining that the victim actually might've been the one whom started it. Sometimes turning a blind eye is easier. Heros die young, cowards live longer.
Malik’s temper is brief, if not sharp but he never resorts to violence, even if physically attacked he’d rather try and end it with words or get away. With his calm nature he usually shrugs off most things or at least appears to, but that doesn’t stop him being annoyed by others easily, he just hides it better.
As an opinionated man, he can’t help but offer his view or suggestions on things whether asked or not and loves to have friendly debates even though he can be sceptical at times, but likes to try to be open minded on various matters.
Socially Malic likes being with people, even if it’s only being alone in a crowd, as he likes to know someone is there and rarely becomes completely absorbed into something. Even in his morning ritual of stretching exercises he likes to be somewhere where people frequent, like a park or a gym.
Likes: Karate, computer games, sun, snow, the colour blue, relaxing, partying, movies, writing, magic, keeping healthy,
Dislikes:Cruelty, mosquitoes or any biting bugs, most sports, depression, his illness, bullys, cats, leaning ladders (he's fallen off a few), littering,
Fears: Cats, isolation, heights
History: Under construction
His father, Daniel, was in the military when he was young, so they moved about quite a bit. He’s lived in Sweden, Africa, Germany, Spain and Britain, although he was too young to remember Africa and Sweden, but has vague memories of Germany and Spain.
After his father left the army, they settled down in the outskirts of London, then moved to Cardiff, then moved again and settled in Peterborough.
When Malic was years old, his father’s health deteriorated rapidly. The doctors diagnosed it as bone cancer and from then on he grew steadily worse and after two years died. Malic moved out of his mother’s house at 20, he stayed close and visited as often as he could.
The death of her husband really took it out on Shannon, his mother, and became severally depressed. It was all Malic could do to get her up in the mornings and by his 21st birthday he moved back in to help her cope, quitting his full-time job as an office clerk to look for a part-time job in McDonalds. Hate was not a strong enough word for that career choice, but he kept himself going for his mother. She really went downhill and drank to 'numb the pain'.
It soon proved too much when he discovered Shannon’s second attempt at suicide and he sent her to be committed to a care home at the age of 49 as she withdrew into herself and barely spoke a word to anybody, forgetting who her sons were. He has two older brothers that are five years older then him, Aaron, and three years older then him, Paul, but they were not very close and pretty much lost contact once their mother was committed.
Malic went into several bouts of depression after his mother was committed, usually he withered on the edge of depression but with medication and perfessional help he got better. He swiftly quit his job and went into late night warehouse work, lifting and moving furniture.
After his 23rd birthday more tragedy hit him. His left leg became sore and swollen, at first thinking he had sprained it he went into A & E, but the doctors weren’t that helpful and gave him various painkillers and antibiotics.
He was in for a long wait to test what it was and he feared it was bone cancer like his father had. He was back and forth in the hospital and they did x-rays and blood tests which proved that it was possibly cancer.
Unfortunally he had to wait before they could confirm it was cancer to do more tests such as bone scans and an MRI scan.
Fearful of waiting and ending up like his father, he wrote to several cancer research charities and companies, willing to become a test subject for them. At least then he would help others and save his skin.
After a lot of rejections (illegal for them, no need for test subjects at this point in time but we’ll get in contact, ect) he at last had a stroke of good luck, for Feral Labs were interested in his predicament.
Education/employment
coming soon
Other interesting information:
Does he still do Karate? What belt was/is he?
Yes! He is a purple belt.
Why doesn't he like cats?
It was probably due to his grandmother’s cat, Mittens. This cat was pure evil. He was three when he’d stay round her house for the odd weekends and summer holidays, but if he cried the cat would come from nowhere and attack him.
It was a moody beast that would go for him if he so much as looked at it funny. The postman and milkman weren’t safe either.
The cat seemed to enjoy tormenting its victims and would lay on the stairs waiting for little Malic to come up and if the boy failed to see him first the cat would act as if it was being murdered, sink its teeth into his leg and then to add insult to injury his grandmother would take the cat’s side as if the poor boy had stepped on its tail.
Malic cannot recall any of this, but his father frequently told him of the ‘Spawn of Satin’, aka Mittens, and after seeing the deep scratches and bites, refused him to visit her again unless she got rid of the cat. He never visited his grandmother again after that and only saw her at reunions and weddings. Even though, his father has always been a big dog person and never took a fancy to felines which had probably rubbed off on him.
Ever since then he’s had an irrational phobia of cats.
Who would miss him.

About bone cancer
http://www.medicinenet.com/bone_cancer/article.htm
Li-Fraumeni syndrome runs in families. Incresed risk of several cancers including bone cancer. Father and grandfather and great uncle had died from it. Tests revealed that Malic had the gene and it will later develop into the cancer. It was called Ostreosarcoma.
A new kind of gene theropy was offered to him from Feral labs, promising to eradicate the faulty cells in his DNA, which will not only result with him being free of the high risk of cancer, but it never be passed on to his heirs should he have any.

Character Name: Georgia Green
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Nationality: British
Former Occupation: Sales assistant Iceland, a small chain supermarket she's been there for a year.
Appearance: She has long, mostly straight auburn thick hair that reaches down past her shoulder blades which is usually tied back. She has bright blue eyes and is slightly overweight with an oval pinkish face and a touch of pale freckles on her nose and cheeks, she's a real plain Jane and very rarely wears makeup. She also has fixed braces and hates them, so will rarely smile that shows her teeth. Due to a lack of self-confidence she wears baggy clothes, especially jumpers and hoodies. She does have some nice small tops she got from the high street, but they are usually hidden under her jumpers and are never low cut nor would show off her belly. She'll wear only jeans, but never skin tight and she has a few favourite baggy ones. She hardly wears jewellery, fearing they would get lost or broken and will only wear them on her very rare times out. You'll never see her in a skirt or dress, unless you look at her childhood pictures when her parents dressed her up for parties. Her favourite colours are all shades of blue and purple.
Personality: Georgia is shy and quiet and visibly lacks confidence around people, but her curiosity and want for companionship is great and causes her to pluck up courage to ask questions or to try and add to a conversation. Once she overcomes her timid nature around new people, she is warm, friendly and thoughtful and has a good sense of humour. If she feels people don't want her around she'll obliged, and, of course, will feel hurt about it, but Georgia isn't one to dwell on bad feelings, wishing to move on, to forget and avoid any mental hurt. Her coping mechanisms; to shut down and dismiss, unfortunately it isn't always so cut and run like that. It doesn't take much to get her upset with people or with herself and tries to bottle it in as she isn't very good at confronting people.
She doesn't mind being on her own or to be with people, she has just grown used to her own company and will absorb herself in a book or write. Although she'll try to give people the chance and would like to be everyone's friend, there are some that will rub her the wrong way or she just doesn't like someone in first meeting. With these people, she tries her best to be tolerant and polite, but will avoid them whenever possible and will become quite cold with them, especially if they had wronged her in anyway. She almost becomes a different person when she is really angry with someone and will become quite bitchy, although it does pass once she regains her control.
Hygiene is very important to Georgia, she doesn't like the feel of dirt or the thought of germs clinging to her skin or clothes, although she isn't a germ phobic, it's usually the actual feeling of dirt, grim and sticky substances touching her skin she doesn't like. Georgia will usually grin and bare it, but will avoid touching anything else (especially her clothes or hair) until she's washed her hands with soap gel (normal soap don't seem to clean as well) and water. This also makes her neat but not overly so. She will opt for showers because with baths she feels she's sitting in dirty water and she will avoid using a public toilet, they gross her out too much. Georgia will often have a shower daily, sometimes twice a day if she's feeling particularly grimy. Oftentimes the water alone is enough to make her feel clean and she will always change into clean clothes afterwards.
Background:
Georgia never had many friends when she was growing up, in high school especially and was a prime target for bullies. Anyone who said that school was the best time of their life must've been very popular or a bully. Georgia hated it and would try and bunk off sick, her mother being the worry sort believed her sometimes, but would still try to convince her to go. Due to this her grades suffered and she failed most of her GCSE's barely scrapping a handful of C's. Her teachers did nothing to help in Georgia's mind, so the bullies won in making her life a misery. She regrets that, wished she was stronger and carried on, if she had gotten better grades she could've felt motivated to go to a college, maybe had more thought of what she wanted to do with her life. Currently working as a cashier made her realise that this wasn't the job she wanted to be in for the rest of her life.
Her father was a pilot and would be away sometimes months at a time, while her mother was a stay at home mum and tried to be supportive to her during her school years. Being a single child, she was spoilt and had a close bond with her. With her mum's encouragement she joined an after school drama club and although she never had a main role, Georgia did enjoy herself and made a few friends.
After her school years the little social life she had went down the drain, only sometimes getting in touch with her friends now they too had jobs and boyfriends. She got a job in Woolworths’ for two years before getting bored and moving on to W. H. Smiths closer to her interests in reading. Her bedroom resembles a small library with fantasy novels and the odd horror book that had interested her.
