Rahu hardly cared if they had no point as to where the race ended. all he cared about was the run and contiuned run to catch up. at having a tounge stuck out at him only caused him to want to beat her more. taking a quick glance back, he saw Aruna not going all out and snorted. " wheres the ending point to the race?" he shouted so both could hear. wanting a race, he only asked this to get it going faster.

Shrugging, she decided to put to good use her hooves--the unique way of running she had learned from Delano. Sucking in a deep breath, she let it out slowly, as she lightened her hoofsteps and made them quicker, and then slowly broke into a soft run, before letting out the last of her deep breath and with a burst of energy, shot toward Rahu. Tika had had a far head start, therefore she doubted she would catch up to the wind mare, but hey, she wanted to beat Rahu, not some random mare she had just met, and barely knew... of course, Tika probably reminded her of her mother too much... or was that a good thing... Shaking her thoughts out of her mind, she narrowed her eyes and concentrated. She had almost pulled neck and neck with Rahu now.

Tika flicked her ears back as Rahu had shouted something but she had too much wind gusting through to hear him...all she caught was point and race....curious..what was he saying. Turning her head slightly to ask she noticed Aruna had caught Rahu. She noticed how Aruna's hooves scarcely touched the ground....where did she learn to run like that? Tika was pleased to still be retaining her lead although with how Aruna was running she doubted she'd hold it for long. But that was ok, as long as she beat Rahu. She decided to give them some incentive and playfully called "Catch me if you can!" A little bit of something emant to make them want to catch and pass her. OH how she wished she could use her wings, tempted to just soar above them. Now in the air, she was a swift flyer.

Rahu had hardly gone full out just yet and he was built for speed. glancing to see Aruna almost neck and neck and saw she had learned a little trick in running faster. that only caused him to laugh as Entreri had forced him to learn that trick too after having asked to be thaught some tricks. barely hearing Tika say something about catching her, he smirked. picking up more speed as he pushed his leg muscles to go faster with hardly little effort as again he was saving a bit of engergy till the end. pulling away from Aruna, he was not going to use that trick just yet and waited to go all out.

Aruna frowned when saw Rahu start to pull ahead slightly. Stupid stallions, having so much energy... but oh well. Grinning, she also pushed further, assuring that she at least kept neck and neck with him. Grinning at Tika words, for yes, she had heard them, she decided to play with the mare. "As you wish, Tika!" she called, and pulled her neck further, taut, lower, and began to gain more speed and length, feeling as if she was barely touching the ground. True flying... it felt wonderful to feel like this at last... at least, for a mare who had only ever dreamed of flying, having no wings.

*blinks* I thought I replied to this. hmm Tika psushed her legs faster. She had no doubts Rahu would be flying and catch her soon. She raced round the bend and thundered down the other side of the alley...and then it occured she had no idea where the race ended. Her hooves scarcely touched the ground as the temptation to use her wings rose. She lowered her head closer to her chest as she pressed on, muscles heaving, sore and aching. She was covered in a sweaty, white lather, body soaked and damp. Still she wondered where the race ended..perhaps she ask if they caught up.

Rahu knowing he would have to catch up now, let out all of that pent up energy he was saving for this exsact moment. slowing only for a few moments but barely noticable, he pulled off usign that trick of his Entreri showed him and went blazing foward towards Tika. he planned to win this even if he now was covered in sweat and event if he started to get tired.
